Some integral inequalities inN independent variables

Some new linear and nonlinear integral inequalities of Volterra-type inn independent variables are established. They improve and contain the main results of A. Corduneanu^[7] which in turn extend a number of known results in the literature. An application to certain initial value problem of partial differential equation is also indicated.     

All-fibre optical system for exciting and detecting the vibration of silicon microresonator sensors

An all-fibre optical system for optical interrogation and detection of the vibrations of a silicon microresonator is reported. Metal-coated silicon microresonators are excited by intensity modulated laser light delivered through an optical fibre, while the vibration of the resonators is detected by an optical fibre interferometer. Measurements have shown that an average optical power of 10 μW is sufficient to maintain the flexural vibration of the resonator. When the resonator is used as a pressure sensor, its resonant frequency changes from 62 kHz to 130 kHz as the pressure varies from -0°6 bar to 1 bar (gauge). A silicon resonator with 700 nm aluminium coating functions as a temperature sensor, showing a frequency shift from 262 kHz to 251 kHz when the temperature changes from 25 °C to 80 °C.

Study on reproductive endocrinology of human placenta (III)--Hormonal regulation of progesterone production by trophoblast tissue of first trimester.

The effect of hormones on progesterone secretion by 6-8 week human trophoblast tissue cultured in serum-free medium has been investigated. GnRH at low concentration (10(-10)-10(-8) mol/L) stimulated progesterone secretion, while high dose (10(-6)-10(-5) mol/L) produced inhibitory effect. The progesterone secretion could be significantly decreased by addition of anti-hCG antiserum or monoclonal anti-hCG IgG in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Various concentrations of TRH, PGE2, PGF2 alpha, testosterone and estradiol were found to be ineffective. These data indicate clearly that progesterone production by human trophoblast tissue at early gestation stage is under the modulation of GnRH and hCG.

用Q-YAG激光的三次谐波(355nm)与调谐的Rh·6G染料激光在β-BaB2O4(BBO)晶体中和频,获得217.3～221.4nm连续调谐输出,和频输出的最大能量为250μJ,转换效率为11%.我们还讨论了获取最大和频输出能量的一些实验条件.     

Influence of preparation methods on structure and properties of PA6/PA66 blends: A comparison of melt‐mixing and in situ blending

The blends composed of polyamide 6 (PA6) and polyamide 66 (PA66) were obtained using two different preparation methods, one of which was the melt‐mixing through a twin‐screw extruder and the subsequent injection molding; and the other, the in situ blending through anionic polymerization of ε‐caprolactam in the presence of PA66. For the former, there existed a remarkable improvement in toughness but a drastic drop in strength and modulus; however, for the latter, a reverse but less significant trend of mechanical properties change appeared. Various characterizations were conducted, including the analyses of crystalline morphology, crystallographic form, and crystallization and melting behaviors using polarized optical microscopy (POM), wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction (WAXD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively; observation of morphology of fractured surface with scanning electron microscope (SEM); measurement of glass transition through dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA); and the intermolecular interaction as well as the interchange reaction between the two components by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT‐IR) and ¹³C solution NMR. The presence and absence of interchange reaction was verified for the in situ and melt‐mixed blends, respectively. It is believed that the transreaction resulted in a drop in glass transition temperature (T_g) for the in situ blends, contrary to an increase of T_g with increasing PA66 content for the melt‐mixed ones. And the two kinds of fabrication methods led to significant differences in the crystallographic form, spherulite size and crystalline content and perfection as well. Accordingly, it is attempted to explain the reasons for the opposite trends of changes in the mechanical properties for these two blends. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Four-wave mixing based 10-Gb/s tunable wavelength conversion in dispersion-flattened microstructure fibers

All-optical wavelength conversion of 10-Gb/s signal based on four-wave mixing is experimentally demonstrated in a 30-m-long dispersion-flattened microstructure fiber with small positive dispersion. For an average pump power of 26 dBm, the conversion efficiency was around -19.5 dB with the fluctuation less than ±1.4 dB, covering a conversion bandwidth of 20 nm. The eye diagram of the converted signal shows good eye opening.

自由落体运动处于第二章的最后,其重点是自由落体运动是匀变速直线运动,而且加速度是g.难点是物体自由下落的快慢与物体的重量无关,即轻重不同的物体自由下落的加速度是相同的.(在学生的头脑中,重的物体落得快,轻的物体落得慢的想法根深蒂固,所以我认为本节的难点在这里)     

Expert systems for HPLC in biochemistry—The knowledge base for selection of HPLC column system in the separation of amino acids,peptides and proteins

The strategy of expert system for high performance liquid chromatography was discussed, the attentions are mainly placed on the knowledge base for selection of column system, separation modes and detection modes in the analysis of amino acids, peptides and proteins.     

All solid-state sum-frequency generation of 1.12-W continuous-wave laser at 588 nm

A new resonator design for doubly resonant continuous-wave (CW) intracavity sum-frequency mixing (SFM) is reported. 1.12 W of coherent radiation at 588 nm is generated by mixing 1062-nm Nd:GdVO4laser and 1319-nm Nd:YAG laser. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is up to 3.7%.
