We report the magnetic resonance (MR) appearance of a large B-cell lymphoma in the peripancreatic head region, in a 38-year-old male who presented with a 1-month history of pruritus and jaundice. Routine laboratory examination at presentation revealed an elevated bilirubin. The tumor was a large, solitary well-defined mass with no evidence of necrosis, which showed mild diffuse heterogeneous enhancement. The tumor was closely applied to the lateral margin of the head of the pancreas. The constellation of MR findings was interpreted as consistent with the correct eventual diagnosis of lymphoma.  相似文献

Photo‐ and thermal‐polymerizations of 4‐diethoxyphosphoryl‐2,4,6‐tris(ethoxycarbonyl)‐1,6‐heptadiene, 4,4‐bis(diethoxyphosphoryl)‐2,6‐bis(t‐butoxycarbonyl)‐1,6‐heptadiene and 4‐diethoxyphosphoryl‐4‐ethoxycarbonyl‐2,6‐bis(t‐butoxycarbonyl)‐1,6‐heptadiene monomers and their phosphonic and carboxylic acid derivatives were investigated to understand the effect of the cyclic monomer structure on their polymerization reactivity. A strong effect of the substituents at positions 2, 4 and 6 of the monomers on polymerization rate was observed. The polymerizability of the monomers was successfully correlated with the 13C NMR chemical shifts of the vinyl carbons. Conversion values were consistent with the Tg being a measure of the flexibility of a monomer. The monomers containing phosphonic acid groups were soluble in water and ethanol. The acidic nature of the aqueous solutions of these monomers is expected to give them etching properties, important for dental applications. The interaction of the acid monomers with hydroxyapatite was investigated using 13C NMR technique.

Zeolites and zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) are widely studied as drug carrying nanoplatforms to enhance the specificity and efficacy of traditional anticancer drugs. At present, there is no other systematic review that assesses the potency of zeolites/ZIFs as anticancer drug carriers. Due to the porous nature and inherent pH-sensitive properties of zeolites/ZIFs, the compounds can entrap and selectively release anticancer drugs into the acidic tumor microenvironment. Therefore, it is valuable to provide a comprehensive overview of available evidence on the topic to identify the benefits of the compound as well as potential gaps in knowledge. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the potential therapeutic applications of zeolites/ZIFs as drug delivery systems delivering doxorubicin (DOX), 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), curcumin, cisplatin, and miR-34a. Following PRISMA guidelines, an exhaustive search of PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science was conducted. No language or time limitations were used up to 25th August 2021. Only full text articles were selected that pertained to the usage of zeolites/ZIFs in delivering anticancer drugs. Initially, 1279 studies were identified, of which 572 duplicate records were excluded. After screening for the title, abstract, and full texts, 53 articles remained and were included in the qualitative synthesis. An Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) test, which included a percent user agreement and reliability percent, was conducted for the 53 articles. The included studies suggest that anticancer drug-incorporated zeolites/ZIFs can be used as alternative treatment options to enhance the efficacy of cancer treatment by mitigating the drawbacks of drugs under conventional treatment.  相似文献

The beneficial effect of antioxidant supplementation in maturation culture media of sow oocytes was evaluated by the expression quantification of apoptotic genes and the genes that ensure stability of germ cells during fertilization. The oocytes were cultivated for 44 h in conventional medium (C) or in medium supplemented with 105 µM rosmarinic acid (R) and 0.5 mM ascorbic acid (A) and classified into three quality classes by morphological observation from which the total RNA was isolated. The gene expression of Ptx3 and the apoptotic regulator p53, Bax and BCL-2 were evaluated by quantitative PCR technique. The decreased expression of the Bax gene in the A and R groups, compared to the control, indicates a protective role of antioxidants in the cells. Cell homeostasis was maintained, as reflected in the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 in class I COCs (cumulus-oocyte complex) regardless of the experimental group, indicating minimum cellular stress. The expression of p53 genes was higher in all class III COC, but in A1 and R1 the expression was lower than in C1, and a similar Ptx-3 gene decreased significantly in groups A1, A2, A3 and R1 compared with control groups. Antioxidant supplementation showed beneficial effects on all morphological classes of pig COCs.  相似文献

The water-assisted tautomerization of glycine has been investigated at the B3LYP/6-31+G** level using supermolecules containing up to six water molecules as well as considering a 1:1 glycine-water complex embedded in a continuum. The conformations of the tautomers in this mechanism do not display an intramolecular H bond, instead the functional groups are bridged by a water molecule. The replacement of the intramolecular H bond by the bridging water reduces the polarity of the N-H bond in the zwitterion and increases that of the O-H bond in the neutral, stabilizing the zwitterion. Both the charge transfer effects and electrostatic interactions stabilize the nonintramolecularly H-bonded zwitterion conformer over the intramolecularly hydrogen bonded one. The nonintramolecularly H-bonded neutral is favored only by charge transfer effects. Although there is no strong evidence whether the intramolecularly hydrogen bonded or non hydrogen bonded structures are favored in the bulk solution represented as a dielectric continuum, it is likely that the latter species are more stable. The free energy of activation of the water-assisted mechanism is higher than the intramolecular proton transfer channel. However, when the presumably higher conformational energy of the zwitterion reacting in the intramolecular mechanism is taken into account, both mechanisms are observed to compete. The various conformers of the neutral glycine may form via multiple proton transfer reactions through several water molecules instead of a conformational rearrangement.  相似文献

A novel, sensitive, simple, fast, and fully validated differential pulse polarographic (DPP) method for the determination of trace amounts of thifensulfuron-methyl in pesticide formulation, soil, and orange juice is reported. This procedure was based on a highly sensitive peak formed due to the reduction of thifensulfuron-methyl on a dropping mercury electrode over the pH range 1.00–10.00 in Britton–Robinson buffer. The polarographic reduction exhibits only a single peak in the pH ranges pH?≥?3.0 and pH?≤?6.0 and pH?=?10.0 located at potential values of ?1.010, ?1.350, and ?1.610?V (vs. SCE), respectively. The single peak appeared as a maximum at pH 3.0 (?1.010?V) was well resolved and suitable to be investigated for analytical use. This peak showed quantitative increments with the additions of standard thifensulfuron-methyl solution under the optimal conditions, and the cathodic peak current was linearity proportional to the thifensulfuron-methyl concentration in the range of 2?×?10?7–5?×?10?5?M. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were obtained as 1.05?×?10?7 and 3.50?×?10?7?M, respectively, according to the relation k ?×?SD/b (where k?=?3 for LOD, k?=?10 for LOQ, SD is the standard deviation of the blank, and b is the slope of the calibration curve). The proposed method was applied to pesticide formulation (Harmony® Extra), and the average percentage recovery was in agreement with that obtained by the spectrophotometric comparison method, 97.82 and 102.6%, respectively. The method was extended to determination of thifensulfuron-methy in spiked soil and orange juice, showing a good reproducibility and accuracy with a relative standard deviation of 4.55 and 1.40%, and relative errors of +2.80 and +1.90%, respectively.  相似文献

For dynamic scheduling of multi-class systems where backorder cost is incurred per unit backordered regardless of the time needed to satisfy backordered demand, the following models are considered: the cost model to minimize the sum of expected average inventory holding and backorder costs and the service model to minimize expected average inventory holding cost under an aggregate fill rate constraint. Use of aggregate fill rate constraint in the service model instead of an individual fill rate constraint for each class is justified by deriving equivalence relations between the considered cost and service models. Based on the numerical investigation that the optimal policy for the cost model is a base-stock policy with switching curves and fixed base-stock levels, an alternative service model is considered over the class of base-stock controlled dynamic scheduling policies to minimize the total inventory (base-stock) investment under an aggregate fill rate constraint. The policy that solves this alternative model is proposed as an approximation of the optimal policy of the original cost and the equivalent service models. Very accurate heuristics are devised to approximate the proposed policy for given base-stock levels. Comparison with base-stock controlled First Come First Served (FCFS) and Longest Queue (LQ) policies and an extension of LQ policy (Δ policy) shows that the proposed policy performs much better to solve the service models under consideration, especially when the traffic intensity is high.  相似文献
