Two simple, accurate, and reliable spectrophotometric methods have been developed for the determination of 2 antiviral drugs, acyclovir (ACV) and ribavirin (RBV), in their pharmaceutical formulations. These methods are based on oxidation of the 2 drugs with either cerium (IV) ammonium sulfate (Method A) or potassium persulfate (Method B). The products of oxidation in both methods are coupled with 3-methylbenzothiazolin 2-one hydrazone, producing a deep blue color with a maximum absorption wavelength at 630 nm. In Method A, the absorbance-concentration plots were linear over the ranges of 5-50 and 10-60 microg/mL with detection limits of 0.18 microg/mL (8 x 10(-7) M) and 0.63 microg/mL (2.58 x 10(-6) M) for ACV and RBV, respectively. In Method B, the ranges were 5-45 and 20-50 microg/mL with detection limits of 0.11 microg/mL (4.88 x 10(-7) M) and 1.40 microg/mL (5.73 x 10(-6) M) for the 2 drugs, respectively. The molar absorptivities were 4.1 x 10(3) and 3.65 x 10(3) L/mol/cm in Method A and 5.03 x 10(3) and 3.97 x 10(3) L/mol/cm in Method B for the 2 drugs, respectively. The proposed methods were applied successfully for the determination of the 2 drugs in their pharmaceutical formulations. The percentage recoveries +/- standard deviation were 99.57 +/- 0.86 and 100.82 +/- 0.46 for ACV; 99.41 +/- 1.08 and 100.35 +/- 1.03 for RBV. The results obtained were compared statistically with those given by official methods and showed no significant differences regarding accuracy and precision.  相似文献

Understanding the heat-release effects on the wall heat transfer in turbulent reacting flows, i.e. heat transfer with or without significant density variation, is essential for a wide variety of industrial flows, especially combustion problems. The present study focuses on the wall heat transfer and the near-wall reaction characteristics. The heat-release effects on the wall heat transfer and skin-friction coefficients are investigated using three-dimensional direct numerical simulations of a turbulent reacting wall-jet flow with and without heat release. Reductions in the skin-friction coefficient are observed in the exothermic case, compared to the isothermal one, and the underlying mechanism is explained. The absolute wall heat flux also increases, while the corresponding Nusselt number decreases with increasing heat release. Furthermore, the wall effects on the near-wall average burning rate are assessed. It is found that the isothermal cold wall results in an appreciable decrease of the burning rate in the exothermic cases. We observed indications that the wall increases the chances for the development of the premixed mode and its occurrence is very fast in the wall-normal direction.  相似文献

In this study, magnetically recoverable vanadium complexs designated as VO(Sal-Tryp)/AmpSCMNPs and VO(Sal-His)/AmpSCMNPs were prepared through immobilization of Schiff bases of histidine or tryptophan with salicylaldehyde on the surface of modified silica coated iron oxide magnetite nanoparticles with (3-aminopropyl) trimethoxysilane as aminopropyl (Amp) spacer followed by complexation with VOSO4. Characterization was carried out by chemical analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, XRD, scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometry techniques. VO(Sal-Tryp)/AmpSCMNPs and VO(Sal-His)/AmpSCMNP were found to catalyze the epoxidation of allyl alcohols and olefins with tert-butyl hydroperoxide with excellent conversions and selectivities. Investigation of the stability and reusability revealed the heterogeneity character of the catalyst with no desorption during the course of epoxidation reactions. High yields, clean reactions, easily catalyst separation and recyclability of the solid catalyst are some advantages of this method.  相似文献

Patient and physiological motion can cause artifacts in DTI of the spinal cord which can impact image quality and diffusion indices. The purpose of this investigation was to determine a reliable motion correction method for pediatric spinal cord DTI and show effects of motion correction on DTI parameters in healthy subjects and patients with spinal cord injury. Ten healthy subjects and ten subjects with spinal cord injury were scanned using a 3 T scanner. Images were acquired with an inner field-of-view DTI sequence covering cervical spine levels C1 to C7. Images were corrected for motion using two types of transformation (rigid and affine) and three cost functions. Corrected images and transformations were examined qualitatively and quantitatively using in-house developed code. Fractional anisotropy (FA) and mean diffusivity (MD) indices were calculated and tested for statistical significance pre- and post- motion correction. Images corrected using rigid methods showed improvements in image quality, while affine methods frequently showed residual distortions in corrected images. Blinded evaluation of pre and post correction images showed significant improvement in cord homogeneity and edge conspicuity in corrected images (p < 0.0001). The average FA changes were statistically significant (p < 0.0001) in the spinal cord injury group, while healthy subjects showed less FA change and were not significant. In both healthy subjects and subjects with spinal cord injury, quantitative and qualitative analysis showed the rigid scaled-least-squares registration technique to be the most reliable and effective in improving image quality.  相似文献

This paper develops a multi-parturition genetic algorithm (MPGA) to be used in geometrical bounding of the overlapped clusters in a data set for the classification of chemical data. Two new operators have been introduced to modify the conventional genetic algorithm, namely, multi-parturition and decimation and orientated creation to improve the linear classification results and diminish the computational time. To circumvent the difficulty commonly encountered in the treatment of linearly inseparable chemical data sets, the optimized linear classifier is further modified to provide a complementary nonlinear classifier. For this reason the space regions of the overlapped clusters have been bounded by erection of half-hyperellipsoids over the linearly misclassified patterns. The proposed MPGA was applied to classify a number of chemical and other data sets with a dimension from 4 to 14. Experimental results have indicated that the proposed MPGA could classify seriously overlapped data sets with an acceptable error rate.  相似文献

Erythrina abyssinica Lam. is an important medicinal plant growing in Sudan; its seeds were investigated for the first time for their alkaloidal constituents and biological activity. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the crude alkaloidal fraction (CAF) against the cell lines HeLa, Hep-G2, HEP-2, HCT116, MCF-7 and HFB4 showed promising activity, with IC?? values of 13.8, 10.1, 8.16, 13.9, 11.4 and 12.2?μg?mL?1, respectively. Doxorubicin (positive control) showed in vitro cytotoxic activity with IC?? values 3.64, 4.57, 4.89, 3.74, 2.97 and 3.96?μg?mL?1, respectively. Bioassay-guided fractionation and isolation of the CAF led to the isolation of five Erythrina alkaloids, identified as erythraline, erysodine, erysotrine, 8-oxoerythraline and 11-methoxyerysodine. These were evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxic activity against Hep-G2 which resulted in IC?? values 17.60, 11.80, 15.80, 3.89 and 11.40?μg?mL?1, respectively. Furthermore, in vitro cytotoxic activity against HEP-2 was evaluated, which resulted in IC?? values 15.90, 19.90, 21.60, 18.50 and 11.50?μg?mL?1, respectively. The CAF caused a reduction in the viability of mock-infected MT-4 cells with a CC?? of 53?μM and a 50% protection of MT-4 cells against HIV-1 induced cytopathogeneticy with a EC?? of >53?μM, compared with EFV as a positive control, which had a CC?? of 45?μM and an EC?? of 0.003?μM. We concluded that the isolated alkaloids were responsible for the carcinogenic actions of the plant extract previously reported in the literature.  相似文献

In this paper dry reforming of methane (DRM) was carried out over nanocrystalline MgAl2O4-supported Ni catalysts with various Ni loadings. Nanocrystalline MgAl2O4 spinel with high specific surface area was synthesized by a co-precipitation method with the addition of pluronic P123 triblock copolymer as surfactant, and employed as catalyst support. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, H2 chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO), temperature- programmed desorption (TPD) and transmission and scanning electron microscopies (TEM, SEM) techniques. The obtained results showed that the catalyst support has a nanocrystalline structure (crystal size: about 5 nm) with a high specific surface area (175 m2 g-1) and a mesoporous structure. Increasing in nickel content decreased the specific surface area and nickel dispersion. The prepared catalysts showed high catalytic activity and stability during the reaction. SEM analysis revealed that whisker type carbon deposited over the spent catalysts and increasing in nickel loading increased the amount of deposited carbon. The nickel catalyst with 7 wt% of nickel showed the highest catalytic activity.  相似文献

In this study, a new hierarchical nanostructure that consists of zinc oxide (ZnO) was produced by the electrospinning process followed by a hydrothermal technique. First, electrospinning of a colloidal solution that consisted of zinc nanoparticles, zinc acetate dihydrate and poly(vinyl alcohol) was performed to produce polymeric nanofibers embedding solid nanoparticles. Calcination of the obtained electrospun nanofiber mats in air at 500 °C for 90 min produced pure ZnO nanofibers with rough surfaces. The rough surface strongly enhanced outgrowing of ZnO nanobranches when a specific hydrothermal technique was used. Methylene blue dihydrate was used to check the photocatalytic ability of the produced nanostructures. The results indicated that the hierarchical nanostructure had a better performance than the other form.  相似文献

Chemical analysis of a Didemnum sp. (CMB‐01656) collected during scientific Scuba operations off Wasp Island, New South Wales, yielded five new lamellarins A1 ( 1 ), A2 ( 2 ), A3 ( 3 ), A4 ( 4 ) and A5 ( 5 ) and eight known lamellarins C ( 6 ), E ( 7 ), K ( 8 ), M ( 9 ), S ( 10 ), T ( 11 ), X ( 12 ) and χ ( 13 ). Analysis of a second Didemnum sp. (CMB‐02127) collected during scientific trawling operations along the Northern Rottnest Shelf, Western Australia, yielded the new lamellarin A6 ( 14 ) and two known lamellarins G ( 15 ) and Z ( 16 ). Structures were assigned to 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analysis with comparison to literature data and authentic samples. Access to this unique library of natural lamellarins ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 ) provided a rare opportunity for structure–activity relationship (SAR) investigations, probing interactions between lamellarins and the ABC transporter efflux pump P‐glycoprotein (P‐gp) with a view to reversing multidrug resistance in a human colon cancer cell line (SW620 Ad300). These SAR studies, which were expanded to include the permethylated lamellarin derivative ( 17 ) and a series of lamellarin‐inspired synthetic coumarins ( 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 ) and isoquinolines ( 25 , 26 ), successfully revealed 17 as a promising new non‐cytotoxic P‐gp inhibitor pharmacophore.  相似文献

The success of nucleic acid delivery requires the development of safe and efficient delivery vectors that overcome cellular barriers for effective transport. Herein we describe the synthesis of a series of novel, single-chain rigid cationic carotenoid lipids and a study of their preliminary in vitro siRNA delivery effectiveness and cellular toxicity. The efficiency of siRNA delivery by the single-chain lipid series was compared with that of known cationic lipid vectors, 3β-[N-(N',N'-dimethylaminoethane)carbamoyl]-cholesterol (DC-Chol) and 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glyceryl-3-phosphoethanolamine (EPC) as positive controls. All cationic lipids (controls and single-chain lipids) were co-formulated into liposomes with the neutral co-lipid, 1,2-dioleolyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphoethanolamine (DOPE). Cationic lipid-siRNA complexes of varying (+/-) molar charge ratios were formulated for delivery into HR5-CL11 cells. Of the five single-chain carotenoid lipids investigated, lipids 1, 2, 3 and 5 displayed significant knockdown efficiency with HR5-CL11 cells. In addition, lipid 1 exhibited the lowest levels of cytotoxicity with cell viability greater than 80% at all (+/-) molar charge ratios studied. This novel, single-chain rigid carotenoid-based cationic lipid represents a new class of transfection vector with excellent cell tolerance, accompanied with encouraging siRNA delivery efficiency.  相似文献
