Ethylcellulose (EC) or linear polyimide (LPI) and magnetic neodymium powder particles MQP-14-12 were used for the preparation of inorganic-organic hybrid membranes. For all the membranes, N2, O2 and air permeability were examined. Mass transport coefficients were determined using the Time Lag System based on dynamic experiments in a constant pressure system. The results showed that the membrane permeation properties were improved by the addition of magnetic neodymium particles to the polymer matrix. The magnetic ethylcellulose and polyimide membranes exhibited higher gas permeability and diffusivity, while their permeability selectivity and solubility were either unchanged or slightly increased. Polyimide mixed matrix membranes were characterised by a higher thermal and mechanical stability, larger filler loading, better magnetic properties and reasonable selectivity in the air separation.  相似文献

The anionic polymerization of 2-oxetanone and 4-methyl-2-oxetanone initiated with the potassium hydride/18-crown-6 complex was investigated. The α-proton abstraction of the monomer was found to proceed at the initiation step of this polymerization. The salt of the unsaturated carboxylic acid formed initiates further propagation, leading to functionalized polyesters with unsaturated, dead end-groups.  相似文献

The influence of methyl substituent on the mechanism of the ring-opening polymerization of β-lactones initiated by alkali metal alkoxides is discussed. Attention has been paid to the effect of the substituent position in the monomer molecule on the ring-opening mechanism, the 3,3-dimethyl-2-oxetanone (pivalolactone), 4-methyl-2-oxetanone (β-butyrolactone) and 2-oxetanone (β-propiolactone) being chosen as model monomers. Moreover, it was found unexpectedly that in the case of pivalolactone polymerization, besides open-chain polymers, cyclic oligomers are produced.  相似文献

The adsorption ability of Lewatit S5528 (S5528) resin for C.I. Acid Green 16 (AG16), heavy metals (Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II)) and phenol removal from single-component aqueous solutions is presented in this study to assess its suitability for wastewater treatment. Kinetic and equilibrium studies were carried out in order to determine adsorption capacities, taking into account phase contact time, adsorbates’ initial concentration, and auxiliary presence (NaCl, Na2SO4, anionic (SDS) and non-ionic (Triton X100) surfactants). The pseudo-second-order kinetic model described experimental data better than pseudo-first-order or intraparticle diffusion models. The adsorption of AG16 (538 mg/g), phenol (14.5 mg/g) and Cu(II) (5.8 mg/g) followed the Langmuir isotherm equation, while the uptake of Zn(II) (0.179 mg1−1/nL1/n/g) and Ni(II) (0.048 mg1−1/nL1/n/g) was better described by the Freundlich model. The auxiliary’s presence significantly reduced AG16 removal efficiency, whereas in the case of heavy metals the changes were negligible. The column studies proved the good adsorption ability of Lewatit S5528 towards AG16 and Zn(II). The desorption was the most effective for AG16 (>90% of dye was eluted using 1 mol/L HCl + 50% v/v MeOH and 1 mol/L NaCl + 50% v/v MeOH solutions).  相似文献

Experimental nonequilibrium surface tension measurements of 1–9 nonanediol solutions obtained by the oscillating-jet method have been interpreted in terms of our theoretical predictions derived for a mixed-controlled adsorption kinetics of the surfactant. The surface tension values have been calculated from the Szyszkowski equation using the Langmuir model of surfactant adsorption. Our theoretical results, obtained by a numerical solution of the adsorption equations, agree well with experimental data giving a value of the kinetics Szyszkowski constant very similar to the thermodynamic equilibrium value determined from experimental measurements of the static surface tension of 1–9 nonanediol solutions of various concentration. The approximate kinetic equation derived by P. Joos, G. Bleys, and G. Petre (J. Chim. Phys.79, 387 (1982)) for purely barrier-controlled adsorption proved to be less accurate.  相似文献

A method is presented for the electroanalytical characterization of interactions of dsDNA with a drug, under conditions that both agents are dissolved in the phosphate buffer solution and both are electroactive. Normal pulse, square wave, differential pulse, and cyclic voltammetries were employed in the measurements of the drug and dsDNA oxidation signals at carbon electrodes. UV–Vis spectroscopy was used as a non-electrochemical method to support the electroanalytical data. An anticancer drug, C-1311 (5-diethylaminoethyl-amino-8-hydroxyimidazoacridinone), has been selected for the examination. Normal pulse voltammetry was particularly useful in showing that under the conditions employed neither dsDNA nor the drug were adsorbed at the electrode surface. Necessary conditions for the appearance of the well-defined dsDNA voltammetric signal (guanine peak) are: rigorous chemical and biological purity in the cell and appropriate purity of DNA. An analysis of the obtained results confirmed that there were two modes of interaction between C-1311 and dsDNA: by intercalation and electrostatically. In the presence of excess NaCl the electrostatic interactions deteriorate. The binding constants (K 1 and K 2, respectively) and the number (n) of nucleic base pairs (bp) and the number (m) of phosphate groups (pg) interacting with one molecule of drug have been determined. For strong interactions (intercalation) the values of the binding constant, K 1, and the binding-site size, n, equal 3.7 × 104 M−1 and 2.1, respectively. For the weak electrostatic interactions the K 2 and m parameters equal 0.28 × 104 M−1 and 4.7. The intercalation process is rather slow and its rate (the conditions of pseudo-first-order reaction) was estimated to equal 7 × 10−4 s−1. Green composites of PLA with micropowders derived from agricultural by-products such as oat husks, cocoa shells, and apple solids that remain after pressing have been prepared by melt mixing. The thermal and mechanical properties of the composites, including the effect of matrix crystallization and plasticization with poly(propylene glycol), have been studied. All fillers nucleated PLA crystallization and decreased the cold-crystallization temperature. They also affected the mechanical properties of the compositions, increasing the modulus of elasticity but decreasing the elongation at break and tensile impact strength although with few exceptions. Plasticization of the PLA matrix improved the ductility of the composites.  相似文献
