Synthesis and Study of Aluminum Hexamolybdenocobaltate(III) and Hexamolybdenochromate(III)

Aluminum hexamolybdenocobaltate and hexamolybdenochromate of the Al[MMo₆O₁₈(OH)₆] · 16H₂O composition, where M = Co(III) or Cr(III), were synthesized for the first time. X-ray diffraction study shows that the crystals of the compounds are triclinic; space group P1, Z = 1, and _calcd = 2.665 and 2.611 g/cm³, respectively. The compounds were studied by IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetry.     

Synthesis ofN,N′-ditosyl-8, 19-dimethoxy-2,5-diaza-[6.1]-naphthyl-cyclophane: crystal and molecular structure of its 1∶1 chloroform solvate

The title compound, C₄₁H₄₀N₂O₆S₂, has been synthesised in good yield and was found to form a 11 inclusion compound with CHCl₃ and other organic solvents. The crystal and molecular structure of the CHCl₃ solvate has been determined by single crystal X-ray analysis and refined to anR-value of 0.034 for 3229 reflections. The compound is monoclinic, space groupP2₁/c, witha=15.316(1),b=14.515(1),c=18.720(3) Å, =101.98(1)^o, andZ=4. One molecule of chloroform is included in the crystal lattice. S-alkylthiosemicarbazonium salts in the synthesis of 1,2,4-triazolines. Molecular structure of 1,4-diacetyl-3-(5-nitrofurfurylthio)-5-(2-furyl)-δ2-1,2,4-triazoline

Acylation of S-alkylthiosemicarbazonium salts with acetic anhydride leads to the formation of 1,4-diacetyl-²-1,2,4-triazolines. It was also demonstrated, based on x-ray structural analysis, that the triazoline ring in the molecular structure of 1,4-diacetyl-3-(5-nitrofurfurylthio)-5-(2-furyl)-²-1,2,4-triazoline exists in an envelope or bent conformation.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 931–937, July, 1990.     

Syntheses based on furancarboxylic acid amides. 1. Synthesis and structure of 2-(5-R-2-furyl)-4-oxoquinazolines

2-(5-R-2-Furyl)-4-oxoquinazolines are formed in the condensation of furancarboxylic acid primary amides with anthranilic acid in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. It was determined by x-ray diffraction analysis, IR and PMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry that a labile hydrogen atom is bonded to the nitrogen atom in the 3-position and that the molecule has an s-NH,0-trans conformation.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 11, pp. 1463–1466, November, 1989.     

Studies of 4H-3,1-benzoxazines

Bromination of 2,4-substituted 1,2-dihydro-4H-benzoxazines with bromine in acetic acid was conducted. It was shown that either the corresponding 6,8-dibromo-1,2-hydrobenzoxazines or the products of their dehydrogenation — 6,8-dibromobenzoxazines, are primarily formed as a function of the structure of the dihydrobenzoxazine and the concentration of bromine in the reaction mixture. The structure of 6,8-dibromo-2-(5-nitrofuryl-2)-4, 4-diphenyl-1,2-dihydro-4H-3,1-benzoxazine was investigated by XSA. A stacking interaction between the nitrofuran fragment of one molecule and the condensed benzene ring of the other was detected in the crystal.See [1] for Communication 12.Kuban State Technological University, Krasnodar 350072. Molecular Structure and Spectral Properties of Methionine Sulfone,Product of Methionine Oxidation

Methionine sulfone , a product of complete oxidation of sulfur in methionine amino acid, was subjectedto X-ray diffraction study on a single crystal. According to X-ray diffraction data the packing of methioninesulfone molecules in a crystal is characteristically strongly anisotropic and it is stabilized by a network of intermolecularhydrogen bonds.

Abstract
