We show that cross sections for inelastic collisions of ultracold atoms or molecules confined by a harmonic potential have the same energy dependence as in pure 2D geometry. This indicates that chemical reactions and inelastic collisions may be suppressed in an ultracold gas under strong confinement in one dimension. We present a numerical proof of the threshold collision laws in 2D. Our results indicate that inelastic collisions in weak electromagnetic fields may be controlled by varying the orientation of the external field axis with respect to the plane of confinement.  相似文献

SmCoxTi0.4 (x=6.6, 7.1, 7.6, 8.1) ribbons have been prepared by melt spinning at a wheel speed of 42 m/s, followed by annealing at 750 °C for 2 h. Both as-spun and as-annealed ribbons possess the disordered TbCu7-type (1:7) phase even when the Sm/(Co,Ti) atomic ratio deviates from 1/7. The c/a ratio increases with increasing Co concentration x, but the unit cell volume decreases. The Curie temperatures show above 700 °C, increasing from 707 °C for x=6.6 to 782 °C for x=8.1. The saturation magnetizations increase almost linearly with increasing Co content. The observed magnetic hardening is believed to arise from the high magnetocrystalline anisotropy of the 1:7 phase and the fine nanograin structure. The intrinsic coercivity of 9797 Oe has been obtained in the melt-spun SmCo7.1Ti0.4 ribbons.  相似文献

A Ni54Mn25.7Ga20.3 ferromagnetic shape memory alloy thin film has been fabricated by using the RF magnetron-sputtering technique. The structure and magnetic properties of the film were systematically investigated. The results show that the film is in ferromagnetic martensite state at room temperature with the Curie temperature (Tc) of about 370 K. The saturation magnetization (Ms) of the film reaches 45 emu/g at 300 K, which is about 80% as large as that of Ni–Mn–Ga bulk material. The magnetization hysteresis loops significantly depend on temperatures. The residual magnetization (Mr) and the coercive force (Hc) increase with decreasing temperatures. The grains homogeneously distribute in the film. The microstructure of the film consists of martensite plates. The interface between the martensite variants is clear and straight, indicating a good mobility.  相似文献

This paper simulated the advection and diffusion behaviors of the moving magnetic fluid in the vessel in the high-gradient magnetic field using Navier–Stokes equations. The particles accumulation behavior and the streamlines and the contour of concentration are all affected by the susceptibility, intensity of magnetic field and its gradient, and the flow velocity and also by the difference in size of vessels. The typical accumulation behaves as a solid obstacle in the flow as result of the competing between magnetic and fluid drag forces, and gives rise to a rigidly bound core region followed by a wash away region near the vessel boundary under the condition of 10 mm vessel in width. While the vessel is near 1 mm in width, the magnetic force is exerted almost on the whole vessel area, the vortex is not seen, the wash away area disappears and the concentration changes in the whole vessel. The results of the analysis provide meaningful information on ferrofluid transport and stabilization for various magnetic drug targeting and the magnetic fluid sealing, and other use in industrial and medical fields.  相似文献

ALD-clad-pumped nanosecond Tm3+ doped silica fiber amplifier was reported that provided up to a 2-W average power output with a slope efficiency of 48.6% with respect to the absorbed pumped power. The input signal central wavelength was at 1.99 μm, with a 119.5-ns pulse duration and 5-kHz repeat rates. The pump sources were a 793-nm LD output with a 400-μm pigtail fiber. The gain fiber was D-shaped Tm3+ doped silica double-clad fiber with a diameter of 27.5/400 μm. The output amplified pulse and spectrum were in accordance with the input signal. This is the first report to the authors’ knowledge on the general experimental investigation of a LD-clad-pumped Tm3+ doped silica nanosecond-fiber amplifier at 1.99 μm.  相似文献

The scaling of anomalous Hall resistivity on longitudinal resistivity has been intensively studied in different magnetic systems, including multilayer and granular films, to examine whether a skew scattering or a side jump mechanism dominates in the origin of anomalous Hall effect (AHE). The scaling law is based on the premise that both resistivities are a consequence of electron scattering by the imperfections in the materials. By studying the anomalous Hall effect in the simple Fe/Cu bilayers, it was demonstrated that the measured anomalous Hall effect should not follow the scaling laws derived from skew scattering or side jump mechanism due to the short-circuit and shunting effects of the non-magnetic layers.  相似文献

We report results on the numerical investigations of the dynamical behavior of a single mode semiconductor laser under the influence of double cavity optical feedback. We find that the system displays, under certain conditions, chaotic behaviors appropriate for chaos based communications. The synchronization of two unidirectional coupled (master-slave) systems is also studied. The influence of some parameters on the resynchronization and autocorrelation times is investigated. We find that the resynchronization time for the proposed scheme can be two orders of magnitude shorter when compared with that of the single-cavity feedback case. Very good conditions for message encoding by using the on/off phase shift keying encryption method are identified and examples of message encoding/decoding are presented.  相似文献

Perfect epitaxial growth of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 (LCMO) thin film has been achieved on (1 0 0) LaAlO3 (LAO) single crystal substrate by radio frequency sputtering method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electron diffraction analysis indicates that La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 film grows epitaxially on LaAlO3 along [1 0 0] direction of the substrate. The resistivity variation with temperature of the film shows a sharp metal to semiconductor transition peak around 253 K, which is close to that of the target. The magnetoresistance (MR) also reveals high quality epitaxy film characteristic at low temperatures and near the metal to semiconductor transition temperature.  相似文献

We have investigated plasma turbulence at the edge of a tokamak plasma using data from electrostatic potential fluctuations measured in the Brazilian tokamak TCABR. Recurrence quantification analysis has been used to provide diagnostics of the deterministic content of the series. We have focused our analysis on the radial dependence of potential fluctuations and their characterization by recurrence-based diagnostics. Our main result is that the deterministic content of the experimental signals is most pronounced at the external part of the plasma column just before the plasma radius. Since the chaoticity of the signals follows the same trend, we have concluded that the electrostatic plasma turbulence at the tokamak plasma edge can be partially explained by means of a deterministic nonlinear system.  相似文献
