We describe an optical bench in which we lock the relative frequencies or phases of a set of three lasers in order to use them in a cold atom interferometry experiment. As a new feature, the same two lasers serve alternately to cool atoms and to realize the atomic interferometer. This requires a fast change of the optical frequencies over a few GHz. The number of required independent laser sources is then only three, which enables the construction of the whole laser system on a single transportable optical bench. The evolution with β of the distributions of the spacing ‘s’ between nearest-neighbour levels of unfolded spectra of random matrices from the β-Hermite ensemble (β-HE) is investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. The random matrices from the β-HE are real symmetric and tridiagonal where β, which can take any positive value, is the reciprocal of the temperature in the classical electrostatic interpretation of eigenvalues. The distribution of eigenvalues coincide with those of the three classical Gaussian ensembles for β=1, 2, 4. The use of the β-HE ensemble results in an incomparable speed up and efficiency of numerical simulations of all spectral characteristics of large random matrices. Generalized gamma distributions are shown to be excellent approximations of the nearest-neighbor spacing (NNS) distributions for any β while being still simple. They account both for the level repulsion in ∼sβ when s→0 and for the whole shape of the NNS distributions in the range of ‘s’ which is accessible to experiment or to most numerical simulations. The exact NNS distribution of the GOE (β=1) is in particular significantly better described by a generalized gamma distribution than it is by the Wigner surmise while the best generalized gamma approximation coincides essentially with the Wigner surmise for β>∼2. They describe too the evolution of the level repulsion between that of a Poisson distribution and that of a GOE distribution when β increases from 0 to 1. The distribution of ln (s), related to the electrostatic interaction energy between neighbouring charges, is accordingly well approximated by a generalized Gumbel distribution for any β?0. The distributions of the minimum NN spacing between eigenvalues of matrices from the β-HE, obtained both from as-calculated eigenvalues and from unfolded eigenvalues are Brody distributions which are classically used to characterize the spectral fluctuations of various physical systems. 相似文献

In the Kobayashi-Maskawa model we compute a new contribution to the neutron electric dipole moment induced byCP violating flavour-changing transitions of the typess→d+gluon+γ through heavy quark loops. This contribution, essentially given by the triangle anomaly graph, is by itself gauge invariant. In this paper we used thermal lens spectrometry to
determine the thermal diffusivity of cheese fats. We have used equal
concentrations of cheese fats from oaxaca, chihuahua, gouda, manchego and
mozzarella cheeses at 42°C temperature. The two lasers
mismatched mode experimental configuration was used with a He-Ne laser, as a
probe beam and an Ar+ laser as the excitation one. The characteristic
time constant of the transient thermal lens was obtained by fitting the
theoretical expression to the experimental data in order to obtain the
thermal diffusivity of the cheese fat samples. This measured thermal
property may contribute to a better understanding of the cheese fats

Muon spin relaxation (SR) studies have been performed in the normal spinel LiTi2O4 and the A-15 superconductor V3Si to measure the magnetic penetration depth . The relaxation rate(T) 1/2 in field-cooled measurements shows a sharp increase belowT

followed by saturation at low temperatures in both systems. This feature implies an isotropic energy gap without anomalous zeros, and most likelys-wave pairing. The low temperature penetration depth (T 0) is determined to be 2100Å for LiTi2O4 and 1300Å for V3Si respectively. Assuming a clean limit relation –2 n

Differential cross-sections for the reactions d (γ,π0)d and d (γ,π0)pn have been measured at MAMI with the TAPS detector setup in the energy range 140 MeV < E
γ < 306 MeV. By use of the Glasgow tagging spectrometer an 0.8 MeV energy resolution for photons incident on the target was
achieved. The π0 missing energy resolution was sufficient for a reliable separation of coherent and incoherent channels. The data for the
break-up channel exhibit very strong final state interaction effects, whereas the observed angular dependence of the inclusive
process d (γ,π0)X is in quantitative agreement with predictions for a quasi-free process. The observed absolute d (γ,π0)X cross-sections, on the other hand, are significantly smaller than predicted by the quasi-free process for E
γ >∼ 250 MeV. Associating this failure with the π0 photoproduction on the neutron would suggest that its cross-section is up to 25% below the presently believed value.

The two-neutron halo nucleus (14)Be has been investigated in a kinematically complete measurement of the fragments ((12)Be and neutrons) produced in dissociation at 35 MeV/nucleon on C and Pb targets. Two-neutron removal cross sections, neutron angular distributions, and invariant mass spectra were measured, and the contributions from electromagnetic dissociation (EMD) were deduced. Comparison with three-body model calculations suggests that the halo wave function contains a large nu(2s(1/2))(2) admixture. The EMD invariant mass spectrum exhibited enhanced strength near threshold consistent with a nonresonant soft-dipole excitation. 相似文献

Modification of Spalart-Allmaras model with consideration of turbulence energy backscatter using velocity helicity 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
The correlation between the velocity helicity and the energy backscatter is proved in a DNS case of 2563-grid homogeneous isotropic decaying turbulence. The helicity is then proposed to be employed to improve turbulence models and SGS models. Then Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model (SA) is modified with the helicity to take account of the energy backscatter, which is significant in the region of corner separation in compressors. By comparing the numerical results with experiments, it can be concluded that the modification for SA model with helicity can appropriately represent the energy backscatter, and greatly improves the predictive accuracy for simulating the corner separation flow in compressors. 相似文献
