The permeability of carbon dioxide (CO2) through imidazolium-based ionic liquid membranes was measured by a sweep gas method. Six species of ionic liquids were studied in this work as follows: [emim][BF4], [bmim][BF4], [bmim][PF6], [bmim][Tf2N], [bmim][OTf], and [bmim][dca]. The ionic liquids were supported with a polyvinylidene fluoride porous membrane. The measurements were performed at T = (303.15 to 343.15) K. The partial pressure difference between feed and permeate sides was 0.121 MPa. The permeability of the CO2 increases with temperature for the all ionic liquid species. Base on solution diffusion theory, it can be explained that the diffusion coefficient of CO2 in an ionic liquid affects the temperature dependence more strongly than the solubility coefficient. The greatest permeability was obtained with the [bmim][Tf2N] membrane. The membrane of [bmim][PF6] presents the lowest permeability.The separation coefficient between CO2 and N2 through the ionic liquid membranes was also investigated at the volume fraction of CO2 at feed side 0.10. The separation coefficient decreases with the increase of temperature for the all ionic liquid species. The membrane of [emim][BF4] and [bmim][BF4] gives the highest separation coefficient at constant temperature. The lowest separation coefficient was obtained from [bmim][Tf2N] membrane which presents the highest permeability of CO2.  相似文献

A quality assessment method for commercially available, optically active flavor compounds, namely, menthol, menthyl acetate, borneol, perillaldehyde, and 1,8-cineol, was developed. A gas chromatograph equipped with a flame ionization detector and a DB-5ms capillary column was used for the chemical purity test. A GC/MS with a beta-DEX cyclodextrin column was used for the optical purity test, by which the enantiomeric separation of each flavor compound was achieved. Enantiomeric excess was calculated as an expression of optical purity. Of the 25 standard samples subjected to the chemical purity test, six were found to have lower purity than the data provided by the manufacturers. When the same samples were subjected to the optical purity test, 11 were found to have lower purity than that indicated on the reagent labels. These results suggest that there is a need to conduct an optical purity test, in addition to a chemical purity test, for the quality assessment of flavor standards.  相似文献

The chiral separation and quantification of D-proline and L-proline in honey and royal jelly were examined by LC with UV detection. Most of the endogenous compounds existing in honey, such as sugars, were removed by using SPE cartridges containing C18 and strong cation-exchange sorbent. Other components, such as primary amino acids, were also removed by two-step derivatization with o-phthalaldehyde (OPA) and 9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate (FMOC-CI). The components that were derivatized with OPA were separated from proline with a C18 cartridge. Proline was then converted into an FMOC derivative that could be subsequently measured by LC-UV. Sufficient chiral separation of D-proline and L-proline was achieved with an LC chiral column made of a beta-cyclodextrin phase in the polar organic-phase mode. The average recoveries of D-proline and L-proline from honey and royal jelly were in the range of 81.3-98.6% (RSD of < 1.8%). When this method was applied to commercial honey and royal jelly samples, L-proline was detected at concentrations of 369-1930 microg/g, whereas D-proline was not detected.  相似文献

Biotin-(strept)avidin complex is widely used in biotechnology because of its extremely high binding constant, but there is no report describing spatiotemporally controlled formation of the complex in live cells. Here, based on X-ray crystal structure analysis and calorimetric data, we designed and synthesized photoreleasable biotins, which show greatly reduced affinity for (strept)avidin, but recover native affinity after UV irradiation. For application at the cell surface, we introduced an amine-reactive moiety into these "caged" biotin molecules. Specific fluorescence imaging of live cells that had been labeled with these agents and then UV-irradiated, was accomplished by addition of streptavidin conjugated with a fluorophore. We also demonstrated the applicability of these compounds for UV-irradiated-cell-specific drug delivery by using caged-biotin-labeled cells, a prodrug, and streptavidin conjugated with a prodrug-activating enzyme.  相似文献

Visible, near-infrared (NIR) and IR spectra in the 15600-2500 cm(-1) region were measured for phenol and 2,6-difluorophenol, 2,6-dichlorophenol, and 2,6-dibromophenol in n-hexane, CCl(4), CHCl(3) and CH(2)Cl(2) to study hydrogen bonding effects and solvent dependences of wavenumbers and absorption intensities of the fundamental and the first, second, and third overtones of OH stretching vibrations. A band shift of the OH stretching vibrations from a gas state to a solution state (solvent shift) was plotted versus vibrational quantum number (v = 0, 1, 2 and 3), and it was found that there is a linear relation between the solvent shift and the vibrational quantum number. The slope of solvent shift decreases in the order of phenol, 2,6-difluorophenol and 2,6-dichlorophenol. For all of the solute molecules, the slope becomes larger with the increase in the dielectric constant of the solvents. The relative intensities of the OH stretching vibrations of phenol in CCl(4), CHCl(3), and CH(2)Cl(2) against the intensity of the corresponding OH vibration in n-hexane increase in the fundamental and the second overtone but decrease in the first and third overtones; the relative intensities show so-called "parity". The parity is more prominent for phenol that has an intermolecular hydrogen bonding than for 2,6-dihalogenated phenols that have an intramolecular hydrogen bond. These observations suggest that the intermolecular hydrogen bond between the OH group and the Cl atom plays a key role for the parity and that the intermolecular interaction between the solutes and the solvents (solvent effects) does not have a significant role in the parity.  相似文献

The spin-unrestricted Hartree-Fock (UHF)-based coupled cluster singles and doubles (UHF-CCSD) and Mukherjee's state-specific multireference CCSD (MkCCSD) methods are applied to four ring-opening reactions. The spin-restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF)-based CCSD (RHF-CCSD) calculations are also performed for comparison. In the case of the UHF-CCSD method, an approximate spin-projection (AP) method is applied to the broken-symmetry (BS) singlet solution to remove the spin contamination effect. For potential energy curves (PECs) of all reactions presented in this study, the results of RHF-CCSD and UHF-CCSD are substantially different from those of MkCCSD, while the results after the AP method (AP-UCCSD) reproduce the MkCCSD results well. It strongly suggests that the spin contamination effect should be removed by the AP correction even at the UHF-CCSD level to predict reliable energetics of these reactions.  相似文献

When a mixture of o-alkynylaryl isocyanides and organic dichalcogenides such as diselenides or ditellurides was irradiated with light of wavelength over 300 or 400 nm, the intramolecular cyclization of the isocyanides took place to afford the corresponding 2,4-bischalcogenated quinolines selectively. The photochemical cyclization of 2-(phenylethynyl)phenyl isocyanide could also proceed in the presence of hydrogen transfer reagents such as tris(trimethylsilyl)silane, tributylgermyl hydride, alkanethiols, and benzeneselenol, providing the corresponding 3-phenylquinoline as the result of 2,4-dihydrogenation.  相似文献

Orthorhombic perovskites RMnO(3) are representative of spin-driven ferroelectrics. When the radius of the rare-earth ion R is smaller than that of Dy, for instance in YMnO(3), the orthorhombic phase becomes metastable at ambient pressure, which impedes the crystal growth; thus, the detailed magnetic and multiferroic properties of the metastable phase have not been characterized. In this work, we successfully obtained single crystals of orthorhombic YMnO(3) using quasi-hydrothermal conditions under a high pressure of 5.5 GPa. Magnetic and dielectric measurements under magnetic fields revealed that the magnetic ground state is the commensurate E-type antiferromagnetic, while a cycloidal spin phase likely coexists in the intermediate temperature range, which enhances the magnetoelectric response to external fields.  相似文献

Chlorosomes are light-harvesting antennae of photosynthetic bacteria containing large numbers of self-aggregated bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) molecules. They have developed unique photophysical properties that enable them to absorb light and transfer the excitation energy with very high efficiency. However, the molecular-level organization, that produces the photophysical properties of BChl molecules in the aggregates, is still not fully understood. One of the reasons is heterogeneity in the chlorosome structure which gives rise to a hierarchy of structural and energy disorder. In this report, we for the first time directly measure absorption linear dichroism (LD) on individual, isolated chlorosomes. Together with fluorescence-detected three-dimensional LD, these experiments reveal a large amount of disorder on the single-chlorosome level in the form of distributions of LD observables in chlorosomes from wild-type bacterium Chlorobaculum tepidum . Fluorescence spectral parameters, such as peak wavelength and bandwidth, are measures of the aggregate excitonic properties. These parameters obtained on individual chlorosomes are uncorrelated with the observed LD distributions and indicate that the observed disorder is due to inner structural disorder along the chlorosome long axis. The excitonic disorder that is also present is not manifested in the LD distributions. Limiting values of the LD parameter distributions, which are relatively free of the effect of structural disorder, define a range of angles at which the excitonic dipole moment is oriented with respect to the surface of the two-dimensional aggregate of BChl molecules. Experiments on chlorosomes of a triple mutant of Chlorobaculum tepidum show that the mutant chlorosomes have significantly less inner structural disorder and higher symmetry, compatible with a model of well-ordered concentric cylinders. Different values of the transition dipole moment orientations are consistent with a different molecular level organization of BChl's in the mutant and wild-type chlorosomes.  相似文献

Fusicoccin A and cotylenin A are structurally related diterpene glucosides and show a phytohormone-like activity. However, only cotylenin A induces the differentiation of human myeloid leukemia cells. Since the cotylenin A producer lost its ability to proliferate during preservation, a study on the relationship between structure and activity was carried out and a modified fusicoccin A with hydroxyl group at the 3-position showed a similar biological activity with that of cotylenin A. We then searched for an enzyme source that catalyzes the introduction of a hydroxyl group into the 3-position and found that brassicicene C, which is structurally related to fusicoccin A with hydroxyl group at the 3-position, was produced by Alternaria brassicicola ATCC96836. We recently cloned a brassicicene C biosynthetic gene cluster including the genes encoding fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene synthase and two cytochrome P450s, which were responsible for the formation of fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene-8β,16-diol. In this study, we report that a α-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase, the gene coding for which was located in the cluster, catalyzed a hydroxylation at the 3-position of fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene-8β,16-diol. On the other hand, a α-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase, which had been identified in a fusicoccin A biosynthetic gene cluster, catalyzed the 16-oxidation of fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene-8β,16-diol to yield an aldehyde (8β-hydroxyfusicocca-1,10(14)-dien-16-al), although both dioxygenases had 51% amino acid sequence identity. These findings suggested that the dioxygenases played critical roles for the formation of the fusicoccin A-type and cotylenin A-/brassicicene C-type aglycons. Moreover, we showed that short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase located in the fusicoccin A biosynthetic gene cluster catalyzed the reduction of the aldehyde to yield fusicocca-1,10(14)-diene-8β,16-diol.  相似文献
