Undoped layered oxynitrides have not been considered as promising H2-evolution photocatalysts because of the low chemical stability of oxynitrides in aqueous solution. Here, we demonstrate the synthesis of a new layered perovskite oxynitride, K2LaTa2O6N, as an exceptional example of a water-tolerant photocatalyst for H2 evolution under visible light. The material underwent in-situ H+/K+ exchange in aqueous solution while keeping its visible-light-absorption capability. Protonated K2LaTa2O6N, modified with an Ir cocatalyst, exhibited excellent catalytic activity toward H2 evolution in the presence of I as an electron donor and under visible light; the activity was six times higher than Pt/ZrO2/TaON, one of the best-performing oxynitride photocatalysts for H2 evolution. Overall water splitting was also achieved using the Ir-loaded, protonated K2LaTa2O6N in combination with Cs-modified Pt/WO3 as an O2 evolution photocatalyst in the presence of an I3/I shuttle redox couple.  相似文献

Intergrowth microstructures of MnF2 subjected to shock compression at 4.4, 9.0 and 21.6 GPa were examined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Intergrowth microstructures consisting of rutile- and α-PbO2-type phases were observed in samples shock-loaded to 4.4 and 9 GPa. The sample subjected to 21.6 GPa consisted of a twin structure with stacking faults, with a rutile-type but not the α-PbO2-type phase. In the 9.0-GPa shocked sample, the phase ledge structure originating from a phase transition is directly captured by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.  相似文献

Square‐planar coordinate Ni2+ ions in oxides are exclusively limited to a low‐spin state (S=0) owing to extensive crystal field splitting. Layered oxychalcogenides A2NiIIO2Ag2Se2 (A=Sr, Ba) with the S=1 NiO2 square lattice are now reported. The structural analysis revealed that the Ni2+ ion is under‐bonded by a significant tensile strain from neighboring Ag2Se2 layers, leading to the reduction in crystal field splitting. Ba2NiO2Ag2Se2 exhibits a G‐type spin order at 130 K, indicating fairly strong in‐plane interactions. The high‐pressure synthesis employed here possibly assists the expansion of NiO2 square lattice by taking the advantage of the difference in compressibility in oxide and selenide layers.  相似文献

The use of organic nanomaterials in biomedical and optical devices has been widely studied. The key to improving the performance and stability of these devices is to control the fabrication process, which determines the phase stability and photophysical properties. In this study, fluorescence changes were observed during the reprecipitation process of mechanofluorochromic molecules of dibenzoyl(methanato)boron difluoride. The cyan-emission phase (C-phase) was first identified. The time evolution of the resolved fluorescence spectra revealed that the green-emission phase (G-phase) was formed from the amorphous phase with yellow emission via the C-phase, in addition to the direct formation of the G-phase. Combined with the results of the investigation into the thermal properties, the fluorescence changes clearly indicate a two-step nucleation process and Ostwald's rule of stages for polymorph transition, which enables us to not only provide guidance for controlling the fabrication process but also propose the ripening process for organic nanoparticle formation.  相似文献

Oxynitrides are promising visible‐light‐responsive photocatalysts, but their structures are almost confined with three‐dimensional (3D) structures such as perovskites. A phase‐pure Li2LaTa2O6N with a layered perovskite structure was successfully prepared by thermal ammonolysis of a lithium‐rich oxide precursor. Li2LaTa2O6N exhibited high crystallinity and visible‐light absorption up to 500 nm. As opposed to well‐known 3D oxynitride perovskites, Li2LaTa2O6N supported by a binuclear RuII complex was capable of stably and selectively converting CO2 into formate under visible light (λ>400 nm). Transient absorption spectroscopy indicated that, as compared to 3D oxynitrides, Li2LaTa2O6N possesses a lower density of mid‐gap states that work as recombination centers of photogenerated electron/hole pairs, but a higher density of reactive electrons, which is responsible for the higher photocatalytic performance of this layered oxynitride.  相似文献

TiO2 films with a thickness of 75 ± 5 nm (anatase) were formed on SnO2-film (580 ± 80 nm) coated soda-lime glass substrates (SnO2/SL-glass) by a sol-gel method. Although the photocatalytic activity for CH3CHO oxidation (ex > 300 nm) significantly exceeded that of a standard TiO2/quartz sample, it decayed with illumination time (t) at t > 0.75 h. Stripes of anatase TiO2 films of 40 nm in thickness and 1 mm in width were prepared on the SnO2/SL-glass substrate in a 1-mm pitch by photolysis of an organically modified sol-gel film. The TiO2 patterning further increased the photocatalytic activity by a factor of 4.1 as compared to the non-patterned sample, and it was also maintained at 0 < t < 2 h. The flat band potentials of the TiO2 and SnO2 films are determined to be –0.34 and +0.07 V (vs. SHE), respectively, at pH = 7 by the Mott-Schottky plots. On the basis of the results, the outstanding patterning effects could be rationalized in terms of the vectorial charge separation at the interface between TiO2 and SnO2.  相似文献
