Infrared spectrum and structure of 2-thienyl-N-methylfulleropyrrolidine

The IR and ¹H NMR spectra of 2-thienyl-N-methylfulleropyrrolidine are studied. The complete interpretation of the spectra is carried out on the basis of density functional theory calculations. Conformational composition is analyzed by means of both computational and experimental methods.

Synthesis of indoles from pyridinium compounds 10. Influence of solvents on process of indolization of 3-intropyridinium cations by the action of the N-methylimine of methyl ethyl ketone

A study has been made of the influence of solvents on the process of indolization of the methiodide of sym-3-nitrocollidine by the action of the N-methylimine of methyl ethyl ketone. Synthesis of Derivatives of 2-(Indol-1-yl)propionic Acids

We have developed a method for synthesis of N-substituted derivatives of indole from N-phenylalanine, including Fischer cyclization of the corresponding arylalkylhydrazones. The starting hydrazines were obtained by reduction of the corresponding nitrosamines. We have established that the optimum reduction method is to use metallic zinc in a methanol-hydrochloric acid system at low temperatures.     

Stereoselective reduction of the active substance of the medicinal preparation dimeb n to the corresponding cis- and trans-1,2,3,4,4a,9b-hexahydro derivatives

Convenient preparative methods have been developed for the reduction of the active substance of the medicinal preparation Dimebon (2,8-dimethyl-5-[2-(6-methylpyrid-3-yl)ethyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-γ-carboline) to the corresponding racemic cis- and trans-1,2,3,4,4a,9b-hexahydro derivatives, distinguished by a high degree of stereoselectivity. The structures of the obtained diastereomeric hexahydro-γ-carbolines were confirmed by various physicochemical methods, including X-ray structural analysis.

Synthesis of indoles from pyridinium salts 5. Secondary amines in the reaction of 3-nitropyridinium salts with acetone
