Determination of trace chlorophenols (CPs) in environmental samples has been evaluated using liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) without derivatization. The LPME procedure used to extract CPs from water involved 15 microL 1-octanol as acceptor solution in a 5.0 cm polypropylene hollow fiber with an inner diameter of 600 microm and a pore size of 0.2 microm. Under the optimal extraction conditions, enrichment factors from 117 to 220 are obtained. The obtained linear range is 1-100 ng mL(-1) with r(2)=0.9967 for 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP); 1-100 ng mL(-1) with r(2)=0.9905 for 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP); 5-500 ng mL(-1) with r(2)=0.9983 for 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol (2,3,4,6-TeCP), and 10-1000 ng mL(-1) with r(2)=0.9929 for pentachlorophenol (PCP). The limits of detection range from 0.08 to 2 ng mL(-1), which is comparable with the reported values (12-120 ng mL(-1)). Recoveries of CPs in various matrices exceed 85% with relative standard deviations of less than 10%, except for PCP in landfill leachate. The applicability of this method was examined to determine CPs in environmental samples by analyzing landfill leachate, ground water and soil. The 2,4-DCP and 2,4,6-TCP detected in the landfill leachate are 6.68 and 2.47 ng mL(-1). The 2,4,6-TCP detected in ground water is 2.08 ng mL(-1). All the studied CPs are detected in contaminated soil. The proposed method is simple, low-cost, less organic solvent used and can potentially be applied to analyze CPs in complex environmental matrices.  相似文献

The nuclear science education has been established in Taiwan at the College of Nuclear Science, National Tsing Hua University since 1956, the only one among 123 universities and colleges in Taiwan where nuclear-related education is offered. The Nuclear/Radiochemistry program, with nine faculty members, offers bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in Nuclear Science. Lectures and lab classes of nuclear chemistry, radiochemistry, and allied branches in health physics, nuclear instruments, nuclear engineering, nuclear medicine, radiation biology, and environmental monitoring are given to the 17 undergraduate students and 33 postgraduate students currently registered. Support from the well-developed local nuclear power industry and government agencies is converged with rapid growth rate toward the Nuclear/Radiochemistry program; the 1992 annual research contracts for the program amounted over one million US dollars. Careerplacement program for graduates is developed to orientate them into the local nuclear power utilities as well as agricultural, medical, industrial, academic, and govemmental sects where nuclear chemists and radiochemists at all levels are desperately needed.  相似文献

Hexagonal monodisperse NaCeF(4) and NaCeF(4):Tb(3+) nanorods have been successfully synthesized by a polyol-mediated solvothermal route with ethylene glycol (EG) as solvent. The crystalline phase, size, morphology, and luminescence properties were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and photoluminescence (PL) spectra as well as dynamic decays. The experimental results indicate that the content of NH(4)F and NaNO(3) are crucial in controlling product morphology and size. Nanorods with different aspect ratios could be controllably obtained under settled conditions. Shape-dependent luminescence and energy transfer routes from Ce(3+) to Tb(3+) in NaCeF(4):Tb(3+) nanorods were observed by the modified local crystal field environment around rare earth ions. The 4f-5d transitions of Ce(3+) ions have much higher sensitivity to the anisotropic shape of samples than that of Tb(3+) ions.  相似文献

We have developed a microfluidic gradient device for controlling mucin gene expression of NCI-H292 epithelial cells derived from lung tissues. We hypothesized that gradient profiles would control mucin gene expression of lung epithelial cells. However, it was not possible to generate various stable gradient profiles using conventional culture methods. To address this limitation, we used a microfluidic gradient device to create various gradient profiles (i.e. non-linear, linear, and flat) in a temporal and spatial manner. NCI-H292 lung epithelial cells were exposed to concentration gradients of epidermal growth factor in a microfluidic gradient device with continuous medium perfusion. We demonstrated an effect of gradient profiles on mucin expression of lung epithelial cells cultured in the microfluidic gradient device. It was revealed that NCI-H292 lung epithelial cells exposed to the flat gradient profile of the epidermal growth factor exhibited high expression of mucin as compared with cells exposed to non-linear and linear gradient profiles. Therefore, this microfluidic gradient device could be a potentially useful tool for regulating the mucin expression of lung epithelial cells exposed to chemokine gradient profiles.  相似文献

We recently introduced two approaches for tethering planar lipid bilayers as membrane patches to either a supported lipid bilayer or DNA-functionalized surface using DNA hybridization (Chung, M.; Lowe, R. D.; Chan, Y-H. M.; Ganesan, P. V.; Boxer, S. G. J. Struct. Biol.2009, 168, 190-9). When mobile DNA tethers are used, the tethered bilayer patches become unstable, while they are stable if the tethers are fixed on the surface. Because the mobile tethers between a patch and a supported lipid bilayer offer a particularly interesting architecture for studying the dynamics of membrane-membrane interactions, we have investigated the sources of instability, focusing on membrane composition. The most stable patches were made with a mixture of saturated lipids and cholesterol, suggesting an important role for membrane stiffness. Other factors such as the effect of tether length, lateral mobility, and patch membrane edge were also investigated. On the basis of these results, a model for the mechanism of patch destruction is developed.  相似文献

The performance of sera pre-treatment for biomarker searching via combinatorial peptide ligand libraries (CPLL) has recently been challenged (Proteomics 2010, 10, 1416-1425) and stated to allow discovery of only medium to high-abundance proteins. We have thus investigated four elution protocols, as published in recent reports: (i) in 4?M urea+1% CHAPS; (ii) in 4?M urea+1% CHAPS+5% acetic acid; (iii) in 8?M urea+2% CHAPS+5% acetic acid; (iv) in boiling 4% SDS+25?mM DTT. One milliliter of serum, in all cases, was captured with 50?μL of CPLL beads, which were then eluted with the four eluants described above. In the first three cases, after the first elution, the beads were re-eluted with cocktail (iv), known to offer maximal release of proteins adsorbed by the CPLL ligands. Eluant (i) released only ca. 20% of the species adsorbed, eluant (ii) ca. 60%, eluant (iii) ca. 80%. Thus, the poor performance of the CPLL methodology, as reported in (i) is not due to any fault of the capture technique, but simply to the adoption of a very poor elution protocol. Even those using eluants (ii) and (iii) should know that a substantial fraction of the captured species still remains bound to the beads and is thus not available to biomarker discovery. Once more, eluant (iv) is recognized as the only one able to offer optimal recovery from the CPLL baits.  相似文献

A series of new low‐band gap copolymers based on dioctyloxybenzo[1,2‐b;3,4‐b′] dithiophene and bis(2‐thienyl)‐2,3‐diphenylbenzo[g]quinoxaline monomers have been synthesized via a Stille reaction. The effect of different functional groups attached to bis(2‐thienyl)‐2,3‐diphenylbenzo[g]quinoxaline was investigated and compared with their optical, electrochemical, hole mobility, and photovoltaic properties. Polymer solar cell (PSC) devices of the copolymers were fabricated with a configuration of ITO/ PEDOT: PSS/copolymers: PCBM (1:4 wt ratio)/Ca/Al. The best performance of the PSC device was obtained by using PbttpmobQ as the active layer. A power conversion efficiency of 1.42% with an open‐circuit voltage of 0.8 V, a short‐circuit current (JSC) of 5.73 mA cm−2, and a fill factor of 30.9% was achieved under the illumination of AM 1.5, 100 mW cm−2. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A tandem transformation that involves the formation of three bonds and two heterocyclic rings in a one‐pot fashion through amino‐alkylation of an ionic‐liquid‐immobilized diamine with keto acids followed by successive double intramolecular cyclizations to afford a tricyclic framework has been explored. This tandem cyclization has been utilized to develop a rapid and efficient method to synthesize various pyrrolo[1,2‐a]benzimidazolones and pyrido[1,2‐a]benzimidazolones on an ionic‐liquid support by using focused microwave irradiation. The application of this tandem cyclization was further extended to the aromatic keto acids to provide isoindolinone‐fused benzimidazoles, a structurally heterogeneous library with skeletal diversity. The outcome of the cascade reaction was confirmed by the X‐ray crystallographic study of the product directly attached to the ionic‐liquid support. Use of the ionic liquid as a soluble support facilitates purification by simple precipitation along with advantages like high loading capacity, homogeneous reaction conditions, and monitoring of the reaction progress by regular conventional spectroscopic methods, whereas application of microwave irradiation greatly accelerates the rate of the reactions.  相似文献

果胶酶对苹果渣中多酚类物质的提取效果研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
具有多种生理活性的多酚类物质在苹果渣中主要以聚合体的形态存在。本研究利用果胶酶分解果胶质,把聚合态的多酚类物质转变为游离态,并提高多酚类物质的提取率。实验得出果胶酶释放总多酚类物质的最佳反应条件是温度为37℃,pH为3.6,酶/基质比例为12%,反应时间为11h。在此条件下,总多酚类物质(total phenolic compounds,TPC)和总黄酮类物质(total flavonoid compounds,TFC)含量分别达到9.08g/kg和1.38g/kg,比对照组的7.05g/kg和0.91g/kg分别提高1.3倍和1.5倍。果胶酶处理组比对照组多检出咖啡酸、香豆酸、阿魏酸、根皮素和未知物U3。以上结果表明,果胶酶具有较强的分解果胶质的功能,并能提高总多酚类物质的含量。  相似文献
