Fluorescent sensors for the enantioselective recognition of mandelic acid: signal amplification by dendritic branching

Novel chiral bisbinaphthyl compounds have been synthesized for the enantioselective fluorescent recognition of mandelic acid. By introducing dendritic branches to the chiral receptor unit, the fluorescence signals of the receptors are significantly amplified because of the light-harvesting effect of the dendritic structure. This has greatly increased the sensitivity of the sensors in the fluorescent recognition. Study of the three generation sensors demonstrates that the generation zero sensor is the best choice for the recognition of mandelic acid because of its greatly increased fluorescence signal over the core and its high enantioselectivity. This sensor is potentially useful for the high throughput screening of chiral catalysts for the asymmetric synthesis of alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acids.

杂多酸的固载化Ⅲ.溶剂对H4Siw12O40.24H2O在活性炭上吸附的影响

研究了Ｈ４ＳｉＷ１２Ｏ４０．２４Ｈ２Ｏ（ＳｉＷ１２）在水，乙醇，乙酸，乙酸丁酯中在活性炭上的吸附得出，活性炭微孔结构对ＳｉＷ１２在其表面的吸附起着分子筛作用，水溶剂化的ＳｉＷ１２分子可顺利进行活性１．７ｎｍ左右的微孔，而其它溶剂化的ＳｉＷ１２分子，则需较大的孔径，提出了ＳｉＷ１２在活性炭表面吸附的微孔中孔扩散模型。     

Flammability studies of 3-methyl pyridine/water system

In industrial processes, information on the safety property of chemicals is essentially crucial for safe handling during unit operations. Ensuring the safe use of combustible or flammable substances in processes is unlikely without detailed investigations of their flammability characteristics and related hazards. We studied 3-methyl pyridine (3-picoline), e.g., flammability limits (LFL/UFL), maximum explosion pressure (P _max), maximum explosion pressure rise (dP/dt)_max, minimum oxygen concentration (MOC), vapor deflagration index (K _g), and characterized the influence of inert steam (H₂O) on critical parameters for 3-picoline/water mixtures at 270°C, 1 atm, various oxygen concentrations, and vapor mixing ratios (100/0, 30/70, 10/90 and 5/95 vol.%) with a 20-L-Apparatus in simulated conditions, respectively. The results showed that the flammability characteristics of 3-picoline_(aq) all increased with the oxygen concentration. However, as the composition of inert steam increased, the flammability parameters and the degree of fire and explosion hazards were significantly reduced, instead. This study elucidated the flammability properties of 3-picoline mixed with inert steam. The conclusions could be applied to proactively prevent the relevant processes from incurring fire and explosion accidents.     

聚合物体系散射函数的热力学基础

利用链段浓度和链头浓度的概念，根据热力学涨落理论，给出了聚合物二元共混体系ｄｅＧｅｎｎｅｓ散射函数的一个普遍的热力学证明，指出了这个函数和Ｆｌｏｒｙ－Ｈｕｇｇｉｎｓ共混自由能公式一样，也依赖于忽略构象涨落的假设．     

杂多酸在活性炭上的固载化Ⅲ．活性炭在酸性介质中对钨硅杂多酸（SiW_（12））的吸附

在氢离子浓度均为３ｍｏｌ／Ｌ的硫酸，盐酸，磷酸，醋酸水溶液中和冰醋酸中研究了具有Ｋｅｇｇｉｎ结构的硅钨杂多酸（ＳｉＷ＿（１２））在不同来源活性炭上的吸附作用。各活性炭对ＳｉＷ＿（１２）吸附等温线的形式是不相同的，吸附剂载体的微孔结构以及杂多酸的溶剂化起着重要的作用。并且在无机酸介质中，杂多酸的吸附量比在水溶液中成规律性地增加，且与酸强度成正比关系。在有机酸介质中，吸附作用比较复杂。根据所得结果，提出了在酸性介质中杂多酸在活性炭表面的吸附模型。     

Rapid and sensitive spectrofluorimetric determination of trace amounts of Hg(II) with o-vanillin-8-aminoquinoline

The fluorimetric determination of mercury ions with o-vanillin-8-aminoquinoline (OVAQ) in aqueous solutions was investigated. Hg(II) could react with the fluorescent reagent OVAQ (λ_ex/em = 278/314 nm) to form a nonfluorescent complex in an ethanol-water medium of pH 6.00. The linear range of the proposed method was from 2.5 to 80 μg/L, and the detection limit was 0.80 μg/L. The interferences of 24 foreign ions were also studied. The method was successfully applied to the determination of Hg(II) in sludge. The text was submitted by the authors in English.

Two new naturally 4-hydroxylated butenolides were concisely synthesized in excellent enantiomeric purities. An aldol condensation and a Suzuki reaction served successfully as the key steps in the synthesis.     

Synthesis of 2-alkylthioquinazol-4-ones

Alkylation of 2-thioxoquinazol-4-one by different alkylating agents was studied, and it was found that the reaction proceeds at the exocyclic sulfur atom with the formation of 2-alkylthioquinazol-4-ones.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 254–256, February, 1987.     

A Novel Dimeric Coumarin from Clausena lenis

A novel dimeric coumarin (1), a dimeric of seselin named diseselin A, was isolated from the aerial part of Clausena lenis. The structure was elucidated based on the MS, 1D and 2D NMR data.
