The synthesis of MoVNbTe(Sb)O(x)() composite oxide catalysts based on the self-organization of polyoxometalates (POMs) was investigated. The catalysts which were synthesized via reduction of POMs by using reducing agents under mild conditions and/followed by calcination in an O(2)-excluded atmosphere which superior performance for propane (amm)oxidation. It was suggested that the metastable phase formed at an elevated temperature with a specific oxidation state corresponds to the catalytic activity. 相似文献

Radiation-induced cationic polymerization of styrene was studied in methylene chloride in the presence of triphenylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate. Acceleration in polymerization and an increase in molecular weight at a low temperature (?78°C) were observed in the presence of triphenylsulfonium salt. Wormlike micelles of nonionic surfactants pentaoxyethylene decyl ether C(10)E(5) and hexaoxyethylene decyl ether C(10)E(6) in dilute aqueous solutions were characterized by static (SLS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) experiments at several temperatures T below the critical points. The SLS results were analyzed with the aid of the molecular thermodynamic theory for SLS from micelle solutions formulated with the wormlike spherocylinder model, thereby yielding the molar mass M(w) of the micelles as a function of c and the cross-sectional diameter d of 2.6 nm for both C(10)E(5) and C(10)E(6) micelles. It has been found that the micelles grow in size with increasing c and T, following the relation M(w) proportional, variant c(1/2) in conformity with the theoretical prediction for highly extended polymerlike micelles. The hydrodynamic radius R(H) of the micelles as a function of M(w) was found to be also well described by the corresponding theories for the wormlike spherocylinder model. The results of the stiffness parameter lambda(-1) show that both micelles are rather stiff compared with those formed with other polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers C(i)E(j) but far from rigid rods. The values of the spacing s between two adjacent hexaoxyethylene chains on the micellar surface were found to be substantially the same for both micelles. 相似文献

The effect of data assimilation of large-scale eddies on small-scale eddies in turbulence is studied by direct numerical simulations (DNSs) of Navier-Stokes turbulence with Taylor microscale Reynolds numbers up to 179. The DNSs show that even if the data of small-scale eddies are lost at some initial instant, they can be regenerated from the data of large-scale eddies under the condition that Fourier modes with wave number less than a critical wave number k(*) are continuously assimilated, where k(*) approximately 0.2eta(-1) with eta identical with(nu(3)/epsilon)(1/4), epsilon the mean energy dissipation rate, and nu the viscosity. 相似文献

Immersion of atomically flat, H-terminated Si(111) surfaces in 7.6 M HI for 0.5 - 4 h caused spontaneous formation of nanosized clusters at the Si surface. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis suggested that the clusters were composed of silicon iodides (such as SiHxI4-x), produced most probably by Si etching with HI. Atomic force microscopy inspection revealed that the immersion at a low temperature below about 30 degrees C led to the formation of long rod-shaped clusters, oriented in the (112) direction or equivalents, whereas the immersion at a high temperature above 30 degrees C led to the formation of circular dot clusters, their size and shape changing abruptly at about 70 degrees C. It is shown experimentally that the formation of dot clusters at a high immersion temperature is explained on the basis of thermodynamics, whereas that of oriented rod clusters at a low temperature is explained by a kinetics-controlled mechanism. 相似文献

Fluorescence oscillation is observed in an ensemble of colloidal CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (QDs) dispersed in nonpolar solvent under continuous irradiation. The QDs dispersed in toluene gradually aggregate and change their fluorescence intensity, even in the dark. During the aggregation, the QD/toluene suspension is unstable, that is, overdispersed. The fluorescence oscillation is found only in this unstable state before the system reaches steady state. In addition, the aggregation rate is promoted by irradiation and strongly correlates with the oscillation amplitude. Our experimental results indicate that the dispersion instability plays an important role in both linear and nonlinear dynamics of the fluorescence. It is inferred from the experimental results and previous studies that the complex time evolution of fluorescence in the QD/toluene dispersion is possibly due to adsorption and desorption of surface ligand molecules over the course of QD aggregation. 相似文献
