Metal-ion-assisted hydrolysis of dipeptides involving a serine residue in a neutral aqueous solution

Dipeptides having a serine residue at the C-terminus, X-Ser, where X is an appropriate amino acid residue, were efficiently hydrolyzed in the presence of ZnCl2 at pH 7.0. The rapid hydrolysis of X-Ser is due to an autocatalysis of the hydroxy group in the serine residue, and is found to be accelerated by a metal ion, in particular by ZnCl2. Roles of the metal ion in the hydrolysis of peptides involving a serine residue, in relation to the recently reported protein cleavages, are discussed.     

化学衍生辅助液相色谱-串联质谱测定枇杷膏中的齐墩果酸和熊果酸

建立了一种液相色谱-串联质谱(LC-MS/MS)同时测定齐墩果酸和熊果酸含量的分析方法,利用衍生化试剂N,N-二甲基乙二胺(DMED)和d4-N,N-二甲基乙二胺(d4-DMED)分别衍生样品和标准工作溶液中的目标分析物,并将标准工作液的衍生产物作为稳定同位素内标。该方法线性关系良好,相关系数均0.99;齐墩果酸和熊果酸的检出限(S/N=3)分别为0.92 ng/L和1.06 ng/L,加标回收率分别为98.7%~102.7%和97.2%~105.0%。该方法简单、快速、准确,可满足枇杷膏中齐墩果酸和熊果酸高灵敏度检测的需求。     

Synthesis of Bis(phosphanyl)alkane Monosulfides by the Addition of Diphosphane Monosulfides to Alkenes under Light

Bis-phosphanated compounds are regarded as the most ubiquitous privileged ligand structures in transition-metal catalysis. The development of highly atom economical reactions is of great importance for their syntheses because less atom economical methods often require complicated purification procedures under inert atmospheres to remove excess starting materials and byproducts. Herein, the photoinduced addition reactions of diphosphane monosulfides bearing P^V(S)−P^III single bonds to alkenes is disclosed. These reactions require only equimolar amounts of the diphosphane monosulfide relative to the alkene and facilitate highly selective introduction of two different types of phosphorus-containing groups, such as thiophosphoryl and phosphanyl groups, into a variety of alkenes without any catalyst, base, or additive.     

Extended Open-Chain Polyenides as Versatile Delocalized Anion Ligands for Metal Chain Clusters

Although small cyclic- and open-chain unsaturated hydrocarbon anions such as cyclopentadienide and open-chain pentadienide are used as the strongly electron-donating auxiliary ligands for metal complexes, more extended π-conjugated unsaturated hydrocarbon anions have rarely been used in coordination chemistry, despite their potential ability to serve as the multiply bridging π-ligands for metal clusters. This work reports isolation of metal chain clusters bearing the multi-dentate, open-chain extended unsaturated hydrocarbon anion ligands. The extended open-chain π-conjugated polyenyl ligands could effectively stabilize oxidized palladium chains, including an unprecedented [Pd₄]⁴⁺ chain.     

Palladium(II)-catalyzed carboxylation of benzene and other aromatic compounds with carbon monoxide under very mild conditions

Aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene, chlorobenzene, anisole, and naphthalene were carboxylated by palladium(II) acetate catalyst with carbon monoxide in the presence of potassium peroxodisulfate in trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) at room temperature under atmospheric pressure. The aromatic carboxylic acids were formed in good yields; for example, the carboxylation of benzene with carbon monoxide proceeds quantitatively under the optimal conditions.     

3,3-Dimethoxypropylsulfonyl Group: A new versatile protecting and activating group for amine synthesis

3,3-Dimethoxypropylsulfonyl (Dimps) chloride was prepared and used as a new versatile sulfonating agent for ammonia, primary and secondary amines to afford corresponding Dimps-amides in excellent yields. The resulting N-nonsubstituted and N-monosubstituted Dimps-amides, activated amines, were alkylated satisfactorily under new Mitsunobu conditions. The Dimps group was removed by treatment in aqueous solution under acidic followed by basic conditions. Furthermore, epilachnene, the defensive droplets from the Mexican bean beetle, Epilachna varivestis, was synthesized utilizing this Dimps methodology in short steps.     

The second-generation synthesis of BICMAP analogues

We previously reported the synthesis of BICMAP (1a) via 6-diphenylphosphino-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran as a key intermediate. However, we did not successfully synthesize BICMAP analogues via a similar synthetic route. Herein we report the second-generation synthesis of BICMAP and its derivatives via diethylphosphonate as a key intermediate.     

Synthesis of (+)-altholactone, (+)-7-epi-altholactone, (−)-etharvensin,and (+)-alumheptolide-A using Pd-catalyzed carbonylation

Syntheses of (+)-altholactone isolated from Goniothalamus giganteus and its C-7 epimer (+)-7-epi-altholactone, (?)-etharvensin and (+)-alumheptolide-A were achieved. The lactone ring of these compounds was constructed using Pd-catalyzed carbonylation.
