An analysis of the effects of combined evaporation and quench periods on the formation of asymmetric membranes by the phase inversion technique is presented. The model for the evaporation period assumes binary diffusion and includes composition dependence in the mutual diffusion coefficient and free convection mass transfer in the gas phase. The quench period model includes the use of 4 composition-dependent diffusion coefficients and incorporates a modified from of the interface jump mass balance which enables efficient numerical analysis of composition gradients in the film at the beginning of the quench period. Results for the effects of evaporation-period variable, including: evaporation time, initial cast film thickness, casting surface dimension, and vapor-phase composition, clearly indicate that significant effects of the evaporation period on membrane structure formation and its reproducibility occur within 20 seconds.  相似文献

Oxidative addition of 2 molecules of 3,3-dimethylcyclopropene (I) to α,α′-bipyridyl(1,5-cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) (III) gave the title compound (IV) in over 90% yield. Complex IV was characterized by mass, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Its structure was determined by X-ray diffraction (a 13.7081(2), b 14.638(2), c 9.5139(1) Å, β 110.82(1)°, C2/c, R = 0.05 for 1614 reflections).  相似文献

We demonstrate low-loss chalcogenide (As(2)S(3)) waveguides on a LiNbO(3) substrate for the mid-IR wavelength (4.8 μm). Designed for single-mode propagation, they are fabricated through photolithography and dry-etching technology and characterized on a mid-IR measurement setup with a quantum cascade laser. For straight waveguides, propagation loss as low as 0.33 dB/cm is measured and low-loss bends on the order of 100 μm are simulated, with measurement results showing <3 dB for a 250 μm bend radius. The coupling efficiency is estimated to be 81%. In addition, the influences of variations in width and bend radius are also investigated.  相似文献

This study investigates ultra-thin potassium chloride (KCl) films on the Si(1 0 0)-2 × 1 surfaces at near room temperature. The atomic structure and growth mode of this ionic solid film on the covalent bonded semiconductor surface is examined by synchrotron radiation core level photoemission, scanning tunneling microscopy and ab initio calculations. The Si 2p, K 3p and Cl 2p core level spectra together indicate that adsorbed KCl molecules at submonolayer coverage partially dissociate and that KCl overlayers above one monolayer (ML) have similar features in the valance band density of states as those of the bulk KCl crystal. STM results reveal a novel c(4 × 4) structure at 1 ML coverage. Ab initio calculations show that a model that comprises a periodic pyramidal geometry is consistent with experimental results.  相似文献

Influences of oxygen exposure on the magnetic properties of Co/Ge(1 1 1) ultrathin films have been investigated by surface magneto-optic Kerr effect technique. As the oxygen exposure increases on Co/Ge(1 1 1) films, their magnetic properties could be modified. As an example for 15 ML Co/Ge(1 1 1) films, the coercivity increases from 730 to 920 Oe and the remanence Kerr intensity is reduced for 500 Langmuir (L) of oxygen exposure. Corresponding compositions analyzed by Auger electron spectroscopy measurement shows that the amount of oxygen on the surface layers increases with increasing the oxygen exposure time. Oxygen distributes on the topmost layers of the film. The adsorbed oxygen influences the electronic density of states of Co and results in the changes of the magnetic properties. Besides, the appearance of O/Co/Ge interface could modify the stress anisotropy, and as a result the coercivity of ultrathin Co/Ge(1 1 1) film is enhanced.  相似文献

The hexavalent Cr species Cr(VI) in natural waters can be quantitatively extracted by diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC) in the pH range 4.0–4.5 into chloroform, followed by back-extraction into a Hg(II) solution for graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS). The trivalent Cr(III) species can be oxidized to Cr(VI) by KMnO4 and then extracted by the DDTC-Hg(II) procedure. The proposed two-step extraction method combined with GFAAS is suitable for Cr speciation studies in natural water systems.  相似文献

Nocardicin A analogues 30, 34 , and 38 as well as the highly strained quinone methide 43 were synthesized. β -Lactam 34 was found biologically active against several Gram-negative microorganisms in vitro; pyridinium N-oxide derivative 38 possessed activity against Gram-positive S. aureus bacterium. Masked p-quinone methide β -lactam 43 exhibited significant antimicrobial activity in vitro. A mechanism involving an oxidation in vivo is proposed for the unprecedented biological properties of nocardicins.  相似文献

[structure: see text] New functionalized mono- and bis-benzo[b]furan derivatives were synthesized and developed as blue-light emitting materials. They possessed a CN, CHO, CH=CHPh, CH=CPh(2), or CH=CHCOOH group at the C4-position. Two benzo[b]furan nuclei in bis-benzo[b]furan derivatives were connected by a divinylbenzene bridge. With good volatility and thermal stability, bis-benzo[b]furan 7a was fabricated as a device. It emitted blue light with brightness 53430 cd/m(2) (at 15.5 V) and high maximum external quantum efficiency 3.75% (at 11 V).  相似文献
