Experimental data from vented explosion tests using stoichiometric methane–air and 18% hydrogen–air mixtures in a 63.7 m3 chamber with a 2.7 or 5.4 m2 vent are presented. Results from experiments conducted using stoichiometric propane–air in 2.42 m3 vessel with a 0.26 m2 vent are also reported. The tests were focused on the effect of fuel, enclosure size, ignition location, vent size, and obstacles on the pressure development of a propagating flame in a vented enclosure. The dependence of the maximum pressure generated on the experimental parameters was analyzed. It was found that the pressure maxima may be caused by pressure transients controlled by the interplay of the maximum-flame area, the burning velocity, and the overpressure generated by an external explosion. A simple model was proposed to estimate the maximum pressure for each of the main pressure transients. The model was found to agree with the experimental data within the experimental uncertainty.  相似文献

The formation of the inclusion complex of p-sulfonatocalix[6]arene (SCX6) with different forms of vitamin B6 (VB6) was studied by using fluorescence spectroscopy. VB6 can exist in one of three forms (the acidic form, neutral zwitterionic form and basic form) depending on pH. The fluorescence intensities of acidic and basic forms of VB6 remarkably decreased in presence of SCX6. SCX6 preferred to form 1:1 inclusion complexes with acidic and basic forms of VB6 but hardly form inclusion complex with neutral zwitterionic form. According to the nonlinear curve fitting method, the inclusion constant (K) for the formation of inclusion complexes of acidic and basic forms of VB6 with SCX6 were evaluated to be 1.4?×?104 and 9?×?103 L/mol, respectively. The binding affinity of SCX6 towards acidic form is attributed to hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interaction, furthermore, additional electrostatic interaction also plays a crucial role. The possible inclusion mode was given by 1H NMR technique.  相似文献

The acyclic alkyl aromatic ketones, 2-isobutyl-4-methyl-1-arylpentan-1-one derivatives were designed and synthesized for photochemical investigations. Irradiation of such compounds in acetonitrile solution led to the Yang cyclization and Norrish type II cleavage photoproducts with a ratio of 1:1, whereas the reaction conducted in the solid state using the ionic chiral auxiliary method led to only the Yang cyclization product with as high as 99% ee. Furthermore, the conformational transitions were first observed in the reaction.  相似文献

The binding and release capabilities of a hydrogel series, constructed of hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) segments and hydrophobic dendritic junctions [poly (benzyl ether)s], are evaluated in aqueous media. The environmental response of the amphiphilic networks is also tested in water at three pH values: 1.5, 7.0, and 10.1. The highest swelling ratio is observed under acidic conditions and varies between 3.7 and 6.5, depending on the crosslinking density and dendrimer generation. Gel specimens with embedded indicators react within 3–6 s with a clear color switch to the change in the pH of the surrounding medium. The experiments with model anionic and cationic indicators and stains show that the hydrogels have basic interiors. The gel binding capabilities depend on the water solubility of the substrate and on the size of the incorporated dendritic fragments. Model release studies have been performed at 37 °C and pHs 1.5, 7.0, and 10.1. The observed phenomena are explained by the transformations in the structure and charge that both the networks and the model compounds undergo with the changes in the pH of the aqueous medium. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new unsymmetrical aniline-based squaraine (SQ2) bearing binding unit of Hg2+ ion was designed and synthesised. SQ2 can form 1:2 inclusion complex with β-cyclodextrin, and the resulting complex, which undergoes absorption and fluorescence bleaching upon binding Hg2+, can serve as a turn-on colorimetric or fluorescent chemosensor in organic solvent-free aqueous solution for thiol-containing amino acids with high selectivity and tunable measuring range.  相似文献

The photocatalytic conversion of CO2 and H2O to alcohols was achieved using self-organized TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNAs), which were prepared by electrochemical anodization of Ti foils in 1 M (NH4)2SO4 electrolyte containing 0.5 wt% NH4F. Experimental results revealed that the morphology and structure of self-organized TNAs could be strongly influenced by the applied voltage and anodization temperature, and the optimized TNAs were prepared by electrochemical anodization of Ti foils under optimal conditions (i.e., at 20 V for 2 h at 30 °C). The as-prepared TNAs were amorphous and could be transformed to anatase phase during the thermal treatment at 450 °C in air for 3 h. By using the annealed TNAs as a photocatalyst, the photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to alcohol, predominately methanol and ethanol, was demonstrated under Xenon lamp illumination. Based on the photocatalytic measurements, the production rates of methanol and ethanol were calculated to be ~10 and ~9 nmol cm?2 h?1, respectively. In addition, the formation mechanism of methanol and ethanol was also tentatively proposed.  相似文献
