Lattice motivated triplet color scalar field theory is analyzed. We consider non-minimal as well as covariant derivative coupling with SU(2) gauge fields. Field configurations generated by external electric sources are presented. Moreover non-Abelian magnetic monopoles are found. Dependence on the spatial coordinates in the obtained solutions is identical as in the usual Abelian case. We show also that after a decomposition of the fields a modified Faddeev-Niemi action can be obtained. It contains explicit O(3) symmetry breaking term parameterized by the condensate of an isoscalar field. The hypothesis of the relation between the observed alignment of spots in x-ray films in cosmic ray emulsion experiments and the features of events in which jets prevail at super-high energies is tested. Due to the strong dynamical correlation between jet axis directions and that between the momenta of jet particles (almost collinearity), the evaluated degree of alignment is considerably larger than that for randomly selected chaotically located spots in the x-ray film. It appears to be comparable with the experimental data provided that the height of the primary interaction, the collision energy and the total energy of the selected clusters meet certain conditions. We propose a sophisticated framework for high-energy hadronic collisions, wherein different QCD physics processes are interleaved in a common sequence of falling transverse-momentum values. Thereby phase-space competition is introduced between multiple parton-parton interactions and initial-state radiation. As a first step we develop new transverse-momentum-ordered showers for initial- and final-state radiation, which should be of use also beyond the scope of the current article. These showers are then applied in the context of multiple interactions, and a few tests of the new model are presented. We consider the scattering of brane fields due to t-channel massive graviton exchanges in the Randall-Sundrum model. The eikonal amplitude is analytically calculated and both differential and total neutrino-nucleon cross sections are estimated. The event rate of quasi-horizontal air showers induced by cosmic neutrinos, which can be detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory, is presented for two different fluxes of cosmogenic neutrinos.Received: 27 December 2004, Published online: 8 June 2005  相似文献

We investigate confinement from new global defect structures in three spatial dimensions. The global defects arise in models described by a single real scalar field, governed by special scalar potentials. They appear as electrically, magnetically or dyonically charged structures. We show that they induce confinement, when they are solutions of effective QCD-like field theories in which the vacua are regarded as color dielectric media with an antiscreening property. A Monte-Carlo analysis on production and decay of supersymmetric charginos at a future photon-collider is presented. A photon collider offers the possibility of a direct branching-ratio measurement. In this study, the process has been considered for a specific mSUGRA scenario. Various backgrounds and a parameterised detector simulation have been included. An exact and analytic Green function for a spinless particle in interaction with an electromagnetic plane wave field, expressed in the coordinate gauge is given by Parisi-Wu stochastic quantization method. A novel method to extract the neutron-electron scattering length b ne from the precise neutron scattering data measured for a noble gas at several different densities n is proposed. The main point of this method is dividing the experimental data into two parts: the first, nearly proportional to n, corresponding to diffraction on neighboring atoms and the second one, a small contribution of n, e scattering independent on n.
