Association constants of modified humic acids with biocides of the triazole series: Cyproconazole and tebuconazole

The interaction of humic acids with biocides of triazoles in dependence on the concentration of components in solutions was investigated by spectrofluorimetry. The complex behavior of intermolecular interactions between biocides and humic acids, including donor-acceptor and hydrophobic bonds, was established. The effect of conditions of mechanochemical modification of humic acids and pH on the efficiency of interaction with biocides is shown.     

Effect of simulated solar radiation on the interaction of humic acids with naphthalene

The equilibrium constants of binding of naphthalene with a series of humic acids were determined by the fluorescence quenching method. The effect of irradiation on the extent of the interaction of naphthalene with humic acids was examined. Based on the data obtained, preliminary conclusions on the structure of humic acids of raised bog peat before and after modification were made.     

Unusual result of the reaction of 4-(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)methylene-substituted 2-alkylthioimidazol-5(4H)-one with copper(ii) chloride

A reaction of potassium ({(4Z)-4-[(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)methylene]-5-oxo-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl}thio)acetate with copper(II) chloride in methanol leads to bis(5-anilino-7-methoxycarbonyl-1-methyl-1H-imidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-4-ium) tetrachloro-cuprate(II), whose structure was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction studies.     

Synthesis of potential antitumor agents,dimeric and trimeric chlorins,from methylpheophorbide <Emphasis Type="Italic">a</Emphasis>

A series of dimeric and trimeric chlorins were synthesized from methylpheophorbide a. They are potential photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy in oncology. The macrocycles were conjugated due to the formation of ester and amide bonds. The carboxy groups were activated and catalytic transesterification was carried out to form the ester bond. The amide bond was formed using carboxy group activation; in several cases, amidation of the ester group in position 13(2) of the exocycle of methylpheophorbide α was carried out, which does not require activation.
