Ta-N thin films were deposited on AISI 317L stainless steel (SS) substrates by cathodic arc deposition (CAD) at substrate biases of −50 and −200 V. The as-deposited films were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The results show that stoichiometric TaN with hexagonal lattice (3 0 0) preferred orientation was achieved at the bias of −200 V. On the other hand, Ta-rich Ta-N thin film deposited at −50 V shows amorphous nature. According to the XPS result, Ta element in the films surface exist in bonded state, including the Ta-N bonds characterized by the doublet (Ta 4f7/2 = 23.7 eV and Ta 4f5/2 = 25.7 eV). Electrochemical properties of the Ta-N coated stainless steel systems were investigated using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscope (EIS) in Hank's solution at 37 °C. For the Ta-N coated samples, the corrosion current (icorr) is two or three orders of magnitude lower than that of the uncoated ones, indicating a significantly improved corrosion resistance. Growth defects in the Ta-N thin films produced by CAD, however, play a key role in the corrosion process, especially the localised corrosion. Using the polarization fitting and the EIS modelling, we compared the polarization resistance (Rp) and the porosity (P) of the Ta-N coatings deposited at different biases. It seems that Ta-N film with comparatively lower bias (−50 V) shows better corrosion behavior in artifical physiological solution. Four-component Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations are applied to study
tunneling conductance spectra of ferromagnet/ferromagnet/d-wave
superconductor (F1/F2/d-wave S) tunnel junctions and to find
out signs of spin-triplet pairing correlations induced in the
proximity structure. The pairing correlations with equal spins
arises from the novel Andreev reflection (AR), which requires at
least three factors: the usual AR at the F2/S interface, spin
flip in the F2 layer, and superconducting coherence kept up in
the F2 layer. Effects of angle α between magnetizations of
the two F layers, polarizations of the F1 and F2 layers, the
thickness of the F2 layer, and the orientation of the d-wave S crystal on the tunneling conductance are investigated. A conversion
from a zero-bias conductance dip at α = 0 to a zero-bias
conductance peak at a certain value of α can be seen as a

A Fourier analysis method is used to accurately determine not
only the absolute phase but also the temporal-pulse phase of an
isolated few-cycle (chirped) laser pulse. This method is
independent of the pulse shape and can fully characterize the
light wave even though only a few samples per optical cycle are
available. It paves the way for investigating the absolute
phase-dependent extreme nonlinear optics, and the evolutions of
the absolute phase and the temporal-pulse phase of few-cycle

We investigate an asymmetric intensive fiber Bragg grating (FBG) defined Fabry–Perot (F–P) sensor system decoded by a multiple-path-matched Michelson interferometer. The interrogation of higher order reflection beams cannot only solve the problem of the degraded resolution induced by the spectral mismatch of the FBGs, but also amplify the effect of the fiber strain on the phase of the light. We demonstrate multiple reflection beams in the F–P cavity based on the concept of the FBG effective length for constructing respective interrogation interferometers, and present a cost function with optimized system parameters to improve noise properties. The performances of interrogating the second, third and fourth order reflection beams are compared in a strain sensing experiment arrangement. Under the condition of the same optical path length mismatch, the interrogation of the fourth order reflection beam can achieve 9.8 dB sensitivity enhancement and 3 dB resolution promotion compared with the result using the second order reflection beam. 相似文献

three-dimensional finite-difference
time-domain method, where the microstructure slab consists of a graphite
lattice of pillars. The
results show that the two-dimensional
graphite-arranged pillars suppress light extraction. When there is a thick
pillar in the middle of the pillars, the structure can enhance light
extraction of the light-emitting diodes. The tower-like pillars, which are
thin on the top of the pillars and thick on the bottom of the pillars,
benefit the light extraction when the angle of the tower-like pillars is
