One-loop divergences of linear gravity with torsion terms

We investigate the role of the torsion field at the quantum level. One-loop counterterms are calculated in the theory with terms quadratic in the torsion field. We have shown that the theory is finite at the one-loop level.

Critical behavior of the wave functions of icosahedral quasicrystals

The character of the localization of the wave functions of an icosahedral quasicrystal is investigated in the tight-binding approximation. It is found that the wave functions exhibit “critical behavior”: they are neither localized, as in the case of Anderson localization, nor delocalized, as in the case of Bloch states. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Measurement of the spin and temperature dependence of ddµ molecule formation rate in solid and liquid deuterium

The ddµ molecule formation rate is experimentally measured for the two hyperfine states of the dµ-atom in the temperature range of 5–30 K. Results are consistent with a preliminary measurement by the TRIUMF group and contradict theoretical predictions. The work has been performed on the JINR phasotron (Dubna).     

Hydrogel composition based on carboxymethylcellulose and agar-agar

The results are given of a study of the rheological properties of concentrated solutions of CNC and agar-agar and the influence of their quantitative ratio on the anomalous flow behavior of their solutions. STRIATED SOLUTIONS OF QUASILINEAR HYPERBOLIC TWO SPEED SYSTEMS

It is proved that solutions of quasilinear hyperbolic 2*2 systems in general space dimension are striated if they are so at the initial time or in the past. Results about the propagation of singularities along characteristic curves for both striated and stratified solutions are given.     

Micron-image transfer system with brightness amplifier in gold-vapor laser

A gas-discharge gold-vapor laser on self-terminating transitions with operating wavelength λ=312.2 nm has been used to develop a highly efficient system for image transfer. An optical scheme and all its parameters have been chosen optimal for image quality. It has been found both theoretically and experimentally that the best results on micron-structure image transfer are obtained with 2–5-times image reduction. Various types of masks have been used. A 1-µm structure has been resolved due to the choice of optimal exposure time of 10 ms under a period of pulse repetition (0.6 – 0.8) ms; in this case, the minimal fringe dimension was ≈2 µm with an image dimension of 2 mm for a laser tube 1.8 cm in diameter.
