Prins-type cyclization followed by palladium-catalyzed cyclization provided sterically congested bi- or tricyclic tetrahydrofurans, which are very stereoselective as well. cis-2,5-Disubstituted tetrahydrofurans obtained from Prins-type cyclization have an allenyl group and a functional group such as alcohol, carboxylic acid, and aryl halide. A wavelet transformation method is introduced to remove the large fluorescence background from polarized Raman spectra of stained tooth enamel. This method exploits the wavelet multiresolution decomposition where the experimental Raman spectrum is decomposed into signals with different frequency components, and where the lowest frequency background and highest frequency noise are removed. This method is optimized using a simulated collection of parallel‐polarized and cross‐polarized Raman spectra of the enamel and then applied to a set of experimental data. The results show that the wavelet transform technique can extract the pure spectra from background and noise, with the depolarization ratio used to discriminate between early dental caries and sound enamel preserved. Stem cells are used for the investigation of developmental processes at both cellular and organism levels and offer tremendous potentials for clinical applications as an unlimited source for transplantation. Gangliosides, sialic acid-conjugated glycosphingolipids, play important regulatory roles in cell proliferation and differentiation. However, their expression patterns in stem cells and during neuronal differentiation are not known. Here, we investigated expression of gangliosides during the growth of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs), mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and differentiated neuronal cells by using high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC). Monosialoganglioside 1 (GM1) was expressed in mESCs and MSCs, while GM3 and GD3 were expressed in embryonic bodies. In the 9-day old differentiated neuronal cells from mESCs cells and MSCs, GM1 and GT1b were expressed. Results from immunostaining were consistent with those observed by HPTLC assay. These suggest that gangliosides are specifically expressed according to differentiation of mESCs and MSCs into neuronal cells and expressional difference of gangliosides may be a useful marker to identify differentiation of mESCs and MSCs into neuronal cells. 相似文献

Amorphous Al2O3 films were deposited on p-Si by rf magnetron sputtering to investigate their potential as a gate dielectric in organic thin film transistors (OTFTs). The deposition was performed at room temperature, 200 and 300 °C using Al2O3 and Al targets. Achieved Al2O3 films have higher capacitance values than thermally grown SiO2 as characterized by capacitance-voltage measurements. It is also found from current-voltage and roughness measurements that the leakage current and the surface roughness can be least when the films are deposited at room temperature. The capacitance of the film obtained from the Al2O3 target appears higher than that of the Al2O3 film from the Al target while the results of electrical breakdown are opposite. These room temperature processes are promising for applications to the gate dielectrics of organic TFTs. 相似文献

Three types of phenothiazines dimers (PTZ-PTZ, 1 – 3 ), covalently linked with one or two acetylene linkers, were synthesized by copper-mediated Eglinton and Pd-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling reactions in excellent yields. The dimers 1 – 3 were further engaged in [2+2] cycloaddition-retroelectrocyclization reactions with strong electron acceptors, tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) to yield tetracyanobutadiene (TCBD, 1 a – 3 a ), and dicyanoquinodimethane (DCNQ, 1 b – 3 b ) functionalized donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugates, respectively. The conjugates were examined by a series of spectral, computational, and electrochemical studies. Strong ground state polarization leading to new optical transitions was witnessed in both series of D-A conjugates. In the case of DCNQ derived D-A system 1 b , the optical coverage extended until 1200 nm in benzonitrile, making this a rare class of D-A ICT system. Multiple redox processes were witnessed in these D-A systems, and the frontier orbitals generated on DFT optimized structures further supported the ICT phenomenon. Photochemical studies performed using femtosecond pump-probe studies confirmed solvent polarity dependent excited state charge transfer and separation in these novel multi-modular D-A conjugates. The charge-separated states lasted up to 70 ps in benzonitrile while in toluene slightly prolonged lifetime of up to 100 ps was witnessed. The significance of phenothiazine dimer in wide-band optical capture all the way into the near-IR region and promoting ultrafast photoinduced charge transfer in the D-A-D configured multi-modular systems, and the effect of donor-acceptor distance and the solvent polarity was the direct outcome of the present study. 相似文献
