High‐molecular‐weight poly(1,4‐butylene carbonate) (PBC) (Mn: 40,000?90,000) was prepared through the condensation polymerization of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and 1,4‐butanediol (BD) in the presence of 0.05 mol % sodium alkoxide catalyst. The subsequent feeding of 15 mol % HOAOH, such as 1,6‐hexanediol, 1,5‐pentanediol, 1,4‐cyclohexanedimethanol, or 1,4‐benzenedimethanol and stirring at 190–150 °C converted the extremely thick high‐molecular‐weight polymer to low‐molecular‐weight macrodiols with GPC‐measured Mn ~2000. The analysis of the 1H NMR spectra indicated that the –A– units and 1,4‐butylene units were randomly distributed in the resulting oligomers. The chopping of the high‐molecular‐weight PBC using either triols or tetraols such as glycerol propoxylate, 1,1,1‐tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane, or pentaerythritol also afforded macropolyols containing branched chains with GPC‐measured Mn ~2000. When the chopped polymers were genuine PBCs, the resulting macrodiols or polyols were in a waxy state at room temperature. However, permanently oily compounds were obtained when the chopped polymers were prepared using 0.90 mole fraction of BD admixed with various other diols. Tree-structured models have been widely used because they function as interpretable prediction models that offer easy data visualization. A number of tree algorithms have been developed for univariate response data and can be extended to analyze multivariate response data. We propose a tree algorithm by combining the merits of a tree-based model and a mixed-effects model for longitudinal data. We alleviate variable selection bias through residual analysis, which is used to solve problems that exhaustive search approaches suffer from, such as undue preference to split variables with more possible splits, expensive computational cost, and end-cut preference. Most importantly, our tree algorithm discovers trends over time on each of the subspaces from recursive partitioning, while other tree algorithms predict responses. We investigate the performance of our algorithm with both simulation and real data studies. We also develop an R package melt that can be used conveniently and freely. Replication-incompetent adenoviruses expressing three major glycoproteins (gB, gC, and gD) of pseudorabies virus (PrV) were constructed and used to examine the ability of these glycoproteins to induce protective immunity against a lethal challenge. Among three constructs, recombinant adenovirus expressing gB (rAd-gB) was found to induce the most potent immunity biased to Th1-type, as determined by the IgG isotype ratio and the profile of the Th1/Th2 cytokine production. Conversely, the gC-expressing adenovirus (rAd-gC) revealed Th2-type immunity and the gD-expressing adenovirus (rAd-gD) induced lower levels of IFN-γ and IL-4 production than other constructs, except IL-2 production. Mucosal delivery of rAd-gB induced mucosal IgA and serum IgG responses and biased toward Th2-type immune responses. However, these effects were not observed in response to systemic delivery of rAd-gB. In addition, rAd-gB appeared to induce effective protective immunity against a virulent viral infection, regardless of whether it was administered via the muscular or systemic route. These results suggest that administration of replication-incompetent adenoviruses can induce different types of immunity depending on the expressed antigen and that recombinant adenoviruses expressing gB induced the most potent Th1-biased humoral and cellular immunity and provided effective protection against PrV infection.  相似文献

A series of constrained geometry complexes of formula [(eta5-RC2B9H10)CH2(eta1-NMe2)]Al(Me) (R = H, 2a; Me, 2b) was prepared in high yields from the reaction of dicarbollylamine with trimethylaluminum. These complexes showed a unique constrained geometry structure with a central aluminum atom having eta5;eta1-coordination. DFT calculations further elaborate the electronic effect of an amine sidearm on the bonding capability of dicarbollyl ligand with an aluminum atom. It has been noted that dicarbollylamines are effective ancillary ligands for the production of novel constrained geometry complexes of aluminum.  相似文献

We present a fiber based multifunctional Jones matrix swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) system for Doppler and polarization imaging. Jones matrix measurement without using active components such as electro-optic modulators is realized by incident polarization multiplexing based on independent delay of two orthogonal polarization states and polarization diversity detection. In addition to polarization sensitivity, this system measures Doppler flow without extra hardware for phase stabilized SS-OCT detection. An eighth-wave plate was measured to demonstrate the polarization detection accuracy. The optic nerve head of a retina was measured in vivo. Detailed vasculature and birefringent structures were investigated simultaneously.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for vehicle displays should exhibit a fast response time in wide temperature range and wide-viewing angle in horizontal and downward directions without grey-scale inversion but limited brightness in the upward direction because the display images can be reproduced in the front window glass of a vehicle, affecting driver’s front visibility. Currently, fringe-field switching (FFS) liquid crystal device is widely commercialised for high resolution and wide-viewing-angle LCD; however, it needs to improve response times and limit the display brightness in the upward direction. As a solution, we propose a homogeneously aligned liquid crystal device in which liquid crystal director does tilt as well as twist deformation in a confined area by both vertical- and fringe-electric fields, exhibiting about two times faster decay response time than that of conventional FFS mode with suppressed luminance in the upward direction. The proposed liquid crystal device can be applied to LCDs for vehicle displays.  相似文献

The molecular structures of methacryl‐grafted polysiloxane resins from 3‐(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (MPTS) and diphenylsilanediol (DPSD) were determined by theoretical computation and experimental measurement. The molecular structures obtained from theoretical computation coincided well with those from experimental measurement, and we found that the structural changes in the resins could be controlled by precursor compositions. While molecular weights and polysiloxane chain lengths of the resins increase with DPSD contents, their molecular sizes do not vary significantly. In the present study, molecular sizes and shapes of the resins with various compositions are hypothesized theoretically and proven experimentally. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A semi-transparent screen with hemisphere micro-patterns was proposed and designed to enhance the brightness uniformity of the display image toward the driver for a direct-view type head-up display. The hemisphere micro-patterns were designed to consider the inclined angle of the windshield for efficient reflection and scattering toward to the driver. The density and radius of the hemisphere micro-patterns were adjusted as a function of position on the screen based on the geometrical calculation and analyzed by the commercial optical simulation tool based on a ray-tracing method. The designed hemisphere micro-patterns was fabricated by the thermal reflow method and evaluated to confirm the uniform illumination. From the results, the semi-transparent screen with variable micro-patterns shows the 91.9 % of brightness uniformity with the enhanced luminance compare to a screen without micro-patterns. A luminance of fabricated screen also shows good agreement with the simulation result to reflect the clear and bright driving information to the driver.  相似文献

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of metabolic indicators that increase the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Visceral obesity and factors derived from altered adipose tissue, adipokines, play critical roles in the development of metabolic syndrome. Although the adipokines leptin and adiponectin improve insulin sensitivity, others contribute to the development of glucose intolerance, including visfatin, fetuin-A, resistin, and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1). Leptin and adiponectin increase fatty acid oxidation, prevent foam cell formation, and improve lipid metabolism, while visfatin, fetuin-A, PAI-1, and resistin have pro-atherogenic properties. In this review, we briefly summarize the role of various adipokines in the development of metabolic syndrome, focusing on glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism.  相似文献
