The bifurcation point where a satellite component buds from another component is characterized by the existence of the common tangent line between the two osculating components appearing in the degree-n bifurcation set. We investigate the existence, location and number of bifurcation points for satellite components budding from the main component in the degree-n bifurcation set as well as a parametric boundary equation of the main component of the degree-n bifurcation set. Cusp points are also located on the boundary of the main component. Typical degree-n bifurcation sets and their components are illustrated with some computational results. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to derive, in the Hilbert space setting, an integral representation formula for the effective elasticity tensor for a two‐component composite of elastic materials, not necessarily well‐ordered. This integral representation formula implies a relation which links the effective elastic moduli to the N‐point correlation functions of the microstructure. Such relation not only facilitates a powerful scheme for systematic incorporation of microstructural information into bounds on the effective elastic moduli but also provides a theoretical foundation for inverse‐homogenization. The analysis presented in this paper can be generalized to an n‐component composite of elastic materials. The relations developed here can be applied to the inverse‐homogenization for a special class of linear viscoelastic composites. The results will be presented in another paper. In this paper, we study the maintenance policy following the expiration of the non‐renewing replacement–repair warranty (NRRW). For such purposes, we first define the non‐renewing free replacement–repair warranty and the non‐renewing pro rata replacement–repair warranty. Then the maintenance model following the expiration of the NRRW is discussed from the user's point of view. As the criterion to determine the optimal maintenance strategy, we formulate the expected cost rate per unit time from the user's perspective. All system maintenance costs incurred after the warranty is expired are paid by the user. Given the cost structures during the life cycle of the system, we determine the optimal maintenance period following the expiration of the NRRW. This is the first part of a threefold article, aimed at solving numerically the Poisson problem in three-dimensional prismatic
or axisymmetric domains. In this first part, the Fourier Singular Complement Method is introduced and analysed, in prismatic
domains. In the second part, the FSCM is studied in axisymmetric domains with conical vertices, whereas, in the third part,
implementation issues, numerical tests and comparisons with other methods are carried out. The method is based on a Fourier
expansion in the direction parallel to the reentrant edges of the domain, and on an improved variant of the Singular Complement
Method in the 2D section perpendicular to those edges. Neither refinements near the reentrant edges of the domain nor cut-off
functions are required in the computations to achieve an optimal convergence order in terms of the mesh size and the number
of Fourier modes used.

In this paper, by extending Kucera's idea to the function field case, we obtain several determinant formulas involving the real class number and the relative class number of any subfield of cyclotomic function fields. We also provide several examples using these determinant formulas.
