We show that there exists a family of Riemannian metrics on the tangent bundle of a two-sphere, which induces metrics of constant curvature on its unit tangent bundle. In other words, given such a metric on the tangent bundle of a two-sphere, the Hopf map is identified with a Riemannian submersion from the universal covering space of the unit tangent bundle, equipped with the induced metric, onto the two-sphere. A hyperbolic counterpart dealing with the tangent bundle of a hyperbolic plane is also presented.  相似文献

We have developed a new magneto-optical measurement system using a rotational cavity system equipped with a millimeter vector network analyzer and a 14 T solenoid type super conducting magnet. The measurement can be performed in the transmission configuration down to 1.6 K. The results of the precise angular dependence measurement of quasi-one-dimensional organic conductor (DMET)2I3 using the new system are shown, and its Fermi surface will be discussed in connection with the previous reports.  相似文献

The stochastic network technique is known to be a powerful tool carrying out a technological forecast of complex systems. A network dealt with is characterized by a tetrad of essential elements: logical nodes with some inputs and outputs, probabilistics activity branches, feedback loops, and multiple sources and sinks. A set of network parameters is defined for each element and their values are estimated for practical analysis of the network. In the case where the system to be treated is very large and/or complex, it cannot always be represented by a definite network and therefore forecasted values of parameters are inevitably indefinite themselves. A conventional probabilistic approach is sometimes inadequate in such a case. In the light of these facts, the paper proposes a fuzzy network technique, in which among activity branches emanating from a node, a branch to be undertaken once the node is realized belongs to a fuzzy set; and the time required to complete an activity branch belongs to a fuzzy set. Operations of maximum and minimum for sum and product of fuzzy sets take the place of manipulations of addition and multiplication for probabilities, respectively. Although the operations are somewhat formal, the obtained results seem interesting. A numerical example is attached to show a comparison of the proposed technique with the conventional one.  相似文献

The observation of slow-wave sustained (SW) discharge in a whistler- or helicon-wave range of frequency is made using high-frequency and very-high-frequency bands of rf. The data on the vector A y and tensor A yy , A xx , A xz analyzing powers for the d3H p reaction have been obtained at the energy of the initial deuteron of 200MeV in the angular range of 0–95 degrees in the c.m.s. The calculations performed within one-nucleon exchange model with the use of the standard three-nucleon bound state wave functions fail to reproduce the data on the tensor analyzing powers.  相似文献

Utilizing the unique features of the scanning atom probe (SAP) the binding states of the biomolecules, leucine and methionine, are investigated at atomic level. The molecules are mass analyzed by detecting a single atom and/or clustering atoms field evaporated from a specimen surface. Since the field evaporation is a static process, the evaporated clustering atoms are closely related with the binding between atoms forming the molecules. For example, many thiophene radicals are detected when polythiophene is mass analyzed by the SAP. In the present study the specimens are prepared by immersing a micro cotton ball of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) in the leucine or methionine solution. The mass spectra obtained by analyzing the cotton balls exhibit singly and doubly ionized carbon ions of SWCNT and the characteristic fragments of the molecules, CH3, CHCH3, C4H7, CHNH2 and COOH for leucine and CH3, SCH3, C2H4, C4H7, CHNH2 and COOH for methionine.  相似文献

Three FeCl4 salts based on non-tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) donors, 2,5-bis(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDH-TTP) and 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDA-TTP), have been prepared and characterized as κ-(BDH-TTP)2FeCl4, β-(BDA-TTP)2FeCl4, and (BDA-TTP)3FeCl4 · PhCl. The κ-(BDH-TTP)2FeCl4 salt, with a room-temperature conductivity (σrt) of 39 S cm−1, is metallic down to 1.5 K, and its magnetic susceptibility obeys the Curie-Weiss law with a Curie constant (C) of 4.25 emu K mol−1 and a Weiss constant (θ) of 0.041 K. β-(BDA-TTP)2FeCl4 exhibits metallic behavior (σrt=9.4 S cm−1) with a sharp metal-to-insulator (MI) transition (TMI=113 K) and antiferromagnetic ordering with the Néel temperature of near 8.5 K, whereas the solvated (BDA-TTP)3FeCl4 · PhCl salt is a semiconductor with a thermal activation energy of 0.11 eV (σrt=2.0× 10−2 S cm−1) and exhibits Curie-Weiss behavior (C=4.42 emu K mol−1, θ=−0.35 K).  相似文献
