Doubly doped BaY2F8:Er,Nd scintillation crystals were grown by modified micro-pulling-down method. The Er co-doping was chosen to enhance the energy transfer from the host lattice to the Nd3+ luminescence center via the 5d-levels of Er3+, which can be enabled by the overlap of Er3+ 5d-4f emission spectrum with the Nd3+ 4f-5d absorption. The energy transfer was clearly evidenced in the BaY2F8:Er,Nd. The processes are complicated by energy migration to killer centres and/or cross-relaxation processes. The luminescence and energy transfer mechanism are discussed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We present a simple coarse-grained model with the molecular crowding effect in solvent to investigate the structure and dynamics of protein complexes including association and/or dissociation processes and investigate some physical properties such as the structure and the reaction rate from the viewpoint of the hydrophobic intermolecular interactions of protein complex. In the present coarse-grained model, a function depending upon the density of hydrophobic amino acid residues in a binding area of the complex is introduced, and the function involves the molecular crowding effect for the intermolecular interactions of hydrophobic amino acid residues between proteins. We propose a hydrophobic intermolecular potential energy between proteins by using the density-dependent function. The present coarse-grained model is applied to the complex of cytochrome f and plastocyanin by using the Langevin dynamics simulation to investigate some physical properties such as the complex structure, the electron transfer reaction rate constant from plastocyanin to cytochrome f and so on. We find that for proceeding the electron transfer reaction, the distance between metals in their active sites is necessary within about 18 Å. We discuss some typical complex structures formed in the present simulation in relation to the molecular crowding effect on hydrophobic interactions.  相似文献

We previously launched a high-resolution photoacoustic (PA) imaging scanner based on a unique lensless design for in vivo skin imaging. The design, imaging algorithm and characteristics of the system are described in this paper. Neither an optical lens nor an acoustic lens is used in the system. In the imaging head, four sensor elements are arranged quadrilaterally, and by checking the phase differences for PA waves detected with these four sensors, a set of PA signals only originating from a chromophore located on the sensor center axis is extracted for constructing an image. A phantom study using a carbon fiber showed a depth-independent horizontal resolution of 84.0 ± 3.5 µm, and the scan direction-dependent variation of PA signals was about ± 20%. We then performed imaging of vasculature phantoms: patterns of red ink lines with widths of 100 or 200 μm formed in an acrylic block co-polymer. The patterns were visualized with high contrast, showing the capability for imaging arterioles and venues in the skin. Vasculatures in rat burn models and healthy human skin were also clearly visualized in vivo.  相似文献

Poly(ε-caprolactone) was found to form inclusion complexes with α-cyclodextrin to give crystalline compounds. The complexes are stoichiometric one-to-one (cyclodextrin: monomer unit) compounds. The yields of the complexes decreased with increasing the molecular weight of the polymer. They were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C CP/MAS NMR, and X-ray diffraction. We present an optochemical O2 scavenging system that enables precise spatiotemporal control of the level of hypoxia in living cells simply by adjusting the light intensity in the illuminated region. The system employs rhodamine containing a selenium or tellurium atom as an optochemical oxygen scavenger that rapidly consumes O2 by photochemical reaction with glutathione as a coreductant upon visible light irradiation (560–590 nm) and has a rapid response time, within a few minutes. The glutathione-consuming quantum yields of the system were calculated as about 5 %. The spatiotemporal O2 consuming in cultured cells was visualized with a hypoxia-responsive fluorescence probe, MAR. Phosphorescence lifetime imaging was applied to confirmed that different light intensities could generate different levels of hypoxia. To illustrate the potential utility of this system for hypoxia research, we show that it can spatiotemporally control calcium ion (Ca2+) influx into HEK293T cells expressing the hypoxia-responsive Ca2+ channel TRPA1.  相似文献

Surface dynamics in monodisperse polystyrene films was examined by lateral force microscopy in conjunction with dynamic secondary ion mass spectroscopy. Glass transition temperature, Tg, at the surface was markedly lower than the corresponding bulk Tg. Also, it was shown that polymer chains present at the surface could diffuse even at a temperature below the bulk Tg. The surface depth, in which molecular motion was activated, was of the order of 5 nm.  相似文献

Poly(dimethylsilane)s form inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins in high selectivity to give crystalline compounds. β‐Cyclodextrin forms complexes with poly(dimethylsilane)s of low molecular weight only, γ‐cyclodextrin with poly(dimethylsilane)s of high molecular weight in high yield, and α‐cyclodextrin does not form complexes with poly(dimethylsilane) at all. Complexes were isolated and characterized by spectroscopic methods and X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

A one-stone, two-bird method to integrate the soft porosity and electrical properties of distinct metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) into a single material involves the design of conductive-on-insulating MOF (cMOF-on-iMOF) heterostructures that allow for direct electrical control. Herein, we report the synthesis of cMOF-on-iMOF heterostructures using a seeded layer-by-layer method, in which the sorptive iMOF core is combined with chemiresistive cMOF shells. The resulting cMOF-on-iMOF heterostructures exhibit enhanced selective sorption of CO2 compared to the pristine iMOF (298 K, 1 bar, S from 15.4 of ZIF-7 to 43.2–152.8). This enhancement is attributed to the porous interface formed by the hybridization of both frameworks at the molecular level. Furthermore, owing to the flexible structure of the iMOF core, the cMOF-on-iMOF heterostructures with semiconductive soft porous interfaces demonstrated high flexibility in sensing and electrical “shape memory” toward acetone and CO2. This behavior was observed through the guest-induced structural changes of the iMOF core, as revealed by the operando synchrotron grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering measurements.  相似文献
