meso‐Hexakis(pentafluorophenyl)‐substituted neutral hexaphyrin with a 26π‐electronic circuit can be regarded as a real homolog of porphyrin with an 18π‐electronic circuit with respect to a quite flat molecular structure and strong aromaticity. We have investigated additional aromaticity enhancement of meso‐hexakis(pentafluorophenyl)[26]hexaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1) by deprotonation of the inner N? H groups in the macrocyclic molecular cavity to try to induce further structural planarization. Deprotonated mono‐ and dianions of [26]hexaphyrin display sharp B‐like bands, remarkably strong fluorescence, and long‐lived singlet and triplet excited‐states, which indicate enhanced aromaticity. Structural, spectroscopic, and computational studies have revealed that deprotonation induces structural deformations, which lead to a change in the main conjugated π‐electronic circuit and cause enhanced aromaticity.  相似文献

Vibrational energy relaxation (VER) of the Fermi polyads in the CH stretching vibration of the benzene dimer (Bz(2)) and trimer (Bz(3)) has been investigated by picosecond (ps) time-resolved IR-UV pump-probe spectroscopy in a supersonic beam. The vibrational bands in the 3000-3100 cm(-1) region were excited by a ps IR pulse and the time evolutions at the pumped and redistributed (bath) levels were probed by resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization with a ps UV pulse. For Bz(2), a site-selective excitation in the T-shaped structure was achieved by using the isotope-substituted heterodimer hd, where h = C(6)H(6) and d = C(6)D(6), and its result was compared with that of hh homodimer. In the hd heterodimer, the two isomers, h(stem)d(top) and h(top)d(stem), show remarkable site-dependence of the lifetime of intracluster vibrational energy redistribution (IVR); the lifetime of the Stem site [h(stem)d(top), 140-170 ps] is ~2.5 times shorter than that of the Top site [h(top)d(stem), 370-400 ps]. In the transient UV spectra, a broad electronic transition due to the bath modes emerges and gradually decays with a nanosecond time scale. The broad transition shows different time profile depending on UV frequency monitored. These time profiles are described by a three-step VER model involving IVR and vibrational predissociation: initial → bath1(intramolecular) → bath2(intermolecular) → fragments. This model also describes well the observed time profile of the Bz fragment. The hh homodimer shows the stepwise VER process with time constants similar to those of the hd dimer, suggesting that the excitation-exchange coupling of the vibrations between the two sites is very weak. Bz(3) also exhibited the stepwise VER process, though each step is faster than Bz(2).  相似文献

The structures of 17β-estradiol (estradiol) and its 1:1 cluster with water have been investigated in supersonic jets. The S(1)-S(0) electronic spectrum of estradiol monomer shows four strong sharp bands in the 35050-35200 cm(-1) region. Ultraviolet-ultraviolet hole-burning (UV-UV HB) and infrared-ultraviolet double-resonance (IR-UV DR) spectra of these bands indicate that they are due to four different conformers of estradiol originating from the different orientation of the OH groups in the A- and D-rings. The addition of water vapor to the sample gas generates four new bands in the 34700-34800 cm(-1) region, which are assigned to the estradiol-H(2)O 1:1 cluster with the A-ring (phenyl ring) OH acting as a hydrogen(H)-bond donor. In addition, we found very weak bands near the origin bands of bare estradiol upon the addition of water vapor. These bands are assigned to the isomers of estradiol-H(2)O 1:1 cluster having an H-bond at the D-ring OH. We determine the conformation of bare estradiol and the structures of its monohydrated clusters with the aid of density functional theory calculation and discuss the relationship between the stability of hydrated clusters and the conformation of estradiol.  相似文献

Development and recent progress of a depth-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) technique are presented, together with future prospects. The technique has been developed by controlling the probing depth of the electron-yield XAS data, which depends on the electron emission angle. This novel technique enables us to achieve depth profiling of the magnetic structure of thin films with a sub-nm depth resolution by using X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) in X-ray absorption, which provides quantitative information on the element-specific spin and orbital magnetic moments. The chemical state and electronic structure at the surface and interface are also investigated by depth-resolved XAS analysis. As for future prospects, a three-dimensional micro XAS technique is being developed by combining an X-ray microbeam with depth-resolved XAS. Moreover, it is expected to manipulate magnetic anisotropy by using element-specific and depth-resolved magnetic anisotropy energies obtained from the depth-resolved XMCD to design thin films and multilayers with proper elements and proper thicknesses. The observation of the spin dynamics at the interface will be also possible in future by adopting the pump-probe method.  相似文献

Abstract— The biologically effective dose of solar UV radiation was estimated from the inactivation of UV-sensitive Bacillus subtilis spores. Two types of independent measurements were carried out concurrently at the Aerological Observatory in Tsukuba: one was the direct measurement of colony-forming survival that provided the inactivation dose per minute (ID/min) and the other was the measurement of the spectral irradiance by a Brewer spectrophotometer. To obtain the effective spectrum, the irradiance for each 1 nm wavelength interval from 290 to 400 nm was multiplied with the efficiency for inactivation derived from the inactivation action spectrum of identically prepared spore samples. Integration of the effective spectrum provided the estimate for ID/min. The observed values of ID/min were closely concordant with the calculated values for the data obtained in four afternoons in 1993. The average ratio (±SD) between them was 1.24 (±0.16) for 14 data points showing high inactivation rates (<0.05 ID/min). Considering difficulties in the absolute dosimetry of UV radiation, the concordance was satisfactory and improved credibility of the two types of monitoring systems of biologically effective dose of solar UV radiation.  相似文献

Copolymers of vinyl viologens such as N-vinylbenzyl-N′-yalkyl and N-(γ-methyacryloyloxy)propyl-N′-propyl-4,4′-bipyridinium dihalides and polar aprotic comonomers such as N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (VP) and N,N-dimethylacrylamide (DMA) were prepared by the copolymerizations of vinyl viologens with DMA and the chemical modifications of VP copolymers containing reactive halogens. Copolymers containing various viologen anions such as Br?, BF, SO, and I? were also prepared by the anion exchange of copolymers containing Cl?. The photocolor developments of these aprotic copolymers in the film state were completely reversible and faster than for the corresponding copolymers with protic comonomers such as acrylamide and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, all with characteristic absorption spectra attributable to single radical cations.  相似文献

The distribution of proteins in the cerebral cortex of a seizure-sensitive (SS) strain of gerbil and its seizure-resistant (SR) counterpart was profiled using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. A series of proteins of similar molecular weight (around 83 kDa) showed small but consistent differences in their isoelectric point (pI) with indistinguishable profiles of distribution between the two strains. Amino acid sequences of peptides produced by limited proteolysis of each protein in the spots from the strains were identical or highly homologous to those of mitofilin, a mitochondrial inner membrane protein (IMMT) in humans. Analysis of cDNA sequences revealed the proteins of these spots to be gerbil mitofilin-like proteins (gIMMT), with a few base substitutions between SS and SR strains, in particular within a region near a putative transmembrane domain that is highly conserved in humans and gerbils. The amino acid at the site was acidic, Glu in humans and Asp in the strain SR of gerbil and a neutral, Asn in strain SS. In addition to these base substitutions, production of multiple species of mRNA for gIMMT by alternative splicing was observed.  相似文献
