The resonance Raman spectra of tris(acetylacetonatoiron(III)) and ruthenium(III) complexes in various solvents and in water-acetonitrile (W-AN) mixtures were measured. The resonance Raman spectra of both complexes indicated peaks near 460 and around 1580 cm–1. Thev(C-O) peak (around 1580 cm–1) is shifted to low frequency with an increase in the dielectric constant T of the solvents, whereas thev(M-O) (M=Fe and Ru, near 460 cm–1) are constant, independent of T. It implies that the C-O bond in the acac– ligand is lengthened by the polarizability effect of the solvents, while both the Fe-O and Ru-O bonds, which are located in the inside of the complexes, are not influenced by the solvents indicating that the interaction does not depend on the properties of individual solvent molecules but on those of the aggregate. 相似文献

13C NMR spectra are reported for derivatives of toxic sesquiterpenes, anisatin (I) and neoanisatin (II). Chemical shifts for each compound have been assigned on the basis of off-resonance decoupling experiments, known chemical shift rules, and comparison of the spectra among the compounds examined. Toxic anisatin (I) is known to isomerize under mild conditions to a non-toxic compound, anisatinic acid. The structure of anisatinic acid has been determined unambiguously to be IIIa by the 13C NMR spectral analysis of a derivative 8 of anisatinic acid. Photoluminescence (PL) intermittency characteristics are examined for single quantum dots (QDs) in a CdSe QD sample synthesized at a slow rate at 75 degrees C. Although the PL quantum efficiency was relatively low ( approximately 0.25), we noticed that the PL intensity of single CdSe QDs fluctuated on a subsecond time scale with short-lived "on" and "off" states. The subsecond PL intensity fluctuations of CdSe QDs are different from "on" and "off" PL blinking generally observed for QDs fluctuating on a millisecond to minute time scale. We characterized single QDs by identifying polarized excitations, topographic imaging using atomic force microscopy (AFM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). From analysis of the PL intensity trajectories from >100 single CdSe QDs, the average intermittency time was 213 ms. From the PL quantum efficiency, slow growth of QDs, intensity trajectory analyses, and previous reports relating surface trap states and PL properties of QDs, we attribute the subsecond PL intensity fluctuations of single CdSe QDs and short-lived "on" and "off" states to a high-density distribution of homogeneous surface trap states. 相似文献

ESR studies of ultraviolet-irradiated polyethylene (PE) were carried out. Irradiation effects different from those of high-energy radiation are observed. Ultraviolet radiation is absorbed selectively, and especially in carbonyl groups in PE produced by oxidation. We present the finding that photoluminescence intensity in ZnSe crystal is enhanced after exposure to a femtosecond laser beam. After the crystal was illuminated with laser light of 1.04 MW/cm(2) during 300 s, photoluminescence intensity was increased approximately 20%. The region in which photoluminescence intensity was enhanced was localized in the optical axis, because this phenomenon occurred in the two-photon excitation process. Fungal meroterpenoids are a diverse group of hybrid natural products with impressive structural complexity and high potential as drug candidates. In this work, we evaluate the promiscuity of the early structure diversity-generating step in fungal meroterpenoid biosynthetic pathways: the multibond-forming polyene cyclizations catalyzed by the yet poorly understood family of fungal meroterpenoid cyclases. In total, 12 unnatural meroterpenoids were accessed chemoenzymatically using synthetic substrates. Their complex structures were determined by 2D NMR studies as well as crystalline-sponge-based X-ray diffraction analyses. The results obtained revealed a high degree of enzyme promiscuity and experimental results which together with quantum chemical calculations provided a deeper insight into the catalytic activity of this new family of non-canonical, terpene cyclases. The knowledge obtained paves the way to design and engineer artificial pathways towards second generation meroterpenoids with valuable bioactivities based on combinatorial biosynthetic strategies. 相似文献
