We present accurate experimental measurements of the lifetimes of rovibrational levels of the long-range H1Sigmag+ state for both D2 and H2, obtained directly from the observation of the time-dependent decay of the fluorescence from these excited levels. These results improve upon and extend those of Reinhold et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 112, 10754 (2000)]. Several decay pathways are open to these levels including fluorescence, predissociation, and autoionization. We present theoretical results for each of these processes, each calculated using the simplest but still appropriate level of theory. In particular, the theoretical calculations provide a quantitative explanation of the dramatic vibrational dependence of the observed lifetimes, the isotope dependence of the lifetimes for levels well localized within the H potential well and therefore not subject to significant tunneling, and an insight into the role of enhanced tunneling in autoionization. In these calculations each of the rovibrational levels of the H state is treated individually, without having to engage in a global coupled-state calculation.  相似文献

The adsorption of a surfactant, sodium di-2-ethylhexyl sulfosuccinate (SDES), [C4H9CH(C2H5)CH2OCO][C4H9CH(C2H5)CH2OCOCH2]CHSO3- Na+, in an aqueous solution on an atomically flat H-terminated Si(111) [abbreviated as H-Si(111)] surface with a hydrophobic property was investigated by in-situ FTIR measurements. Immersion of the H-Si(111) surface in a solution of 1.0 x 10(-2) M SDES for more than 2 h led to formation of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) with the alkyl chains having a tendency to be assembled perpendicular to the Si surface. The in-situ FTIR observation revealed that the adsorption was nearly complete about 60 min after the start of the immersion, and after that the adsorbed molecules changed their arrangement into an ordered mode. The Si-H peak in the FTIR spectrum remained unchanged with time in aqueous surfactant solution, in contrast to the case of immersion in pure water, indicating that the adsorbed surfactant protects the H-Si(111) surface from oxidation. No structural change in the SAM was observed when a negative potential of -700 mV vs Ag/AgCl was applied to the Si, whereas the adsorbed molecules changed their arrangement, accompanied by their substantial desorption and oxidation of the Si surface, when a positive potential of +700 mV was applied.  相似文献

The enantioselective reduction of ketones was accomplished by borane in the presence of pyrazole derivatives, particularly 2‐methoxymethyl‐3‐phenyl‐1‐menthopyrazole (8). The effects of surfactant mixing on interfacial tension and on microemulsion formation were examined for systems of air/water and water/supercritical CO2 (scCO2) interfaces and for water/scCO2 microemulsions. A fluorinated surfactant, sodium bis(1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyl)-2-sulfosuccinate (8FS(EO)2), was mixed with the three hydrocarbon surfactants, Pluronic L31, Tergitol TMN-6, and decyltrimethylammonium chloride (DeTAC), at equimolar ratio. For all the cases, the interfacial tension was significantly lowered by the mixing. The positive synergistic effect suggests that the mixed surfactants tend to pack more closely on the interface than the pure constituents. It was found, however, that the microemulsion formation in scCO2 was never facilitated by the mixing, except for the case of TMN-6. This is probably due to the segregation of the surfactants into hydrocarbon-rich and fluorocarbon-rich phases on the microemulsion surface.  相似文献

The total synthesis of borrelidin has been achieved. The best feature of our synthetic route is macrocyclization at C11-C12 for the construction of an 18-membered ring after esterification between two segments. A detailed examination of the macrocyclization led us to the samarium(II) iodide-mediated intramolecular Reformatsky-type reaction as the most efficient synthetic approach. The two key segments were synthesized through regioselective methylation, directed hydrogenation, stereoselective Reformatsky-type reaction, and MgBr2.Et2O-mediated chelation-controlled allylation.  相似文献

Novel gold nanoparticles modified with a mixed self-assembled monolayer of porphyrin alkanethiol and short-chain alkanethiol were prepared (first step) to examine the size and shape effects of surface holes (host) on porphyrin-modified gold nanoparticles. The porphyrin-modified gold nanoparticles with a size of about 10 nm incorporated C60 molecules (guest) into the large, bucket-shaped holes, leading to the formation of a supramolecular complex of porphyrin-C60 composites (second step). Large composite clusters with a size of 200-400 nm were grown from the supramolecular complex of porphyrin-C60 composites in mixed solvents (third step) and deposited electrophoretically onto nanostructured SnO2 electrodes (fourth step). Differences in the porphyrin:C60 ratio were found to affect the structures and photoelectrochemical properties of the composite clusters in mixed solvents as well as on the SnO2 electrodes. The photoelectrochemical performance of a photoelectrochemical device consisting of SnO2 electrodes modified with the porphyrin-C60 composites was enhanced relative to a reference system with small, wedged-shaped surface holes on the gold nanoparticle. Time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy with fluorescence lifetime measurements suggest the occurrence of ultrafast electron transfer from the porphyrin excited singlet states to C60 or the formation of a partial charge-transfer state in the composite clusters of supramolecular complexes formed between porphyrin and C60 leading to efficient photocurrent generation in the system. Elucidation of the relationship between host-guest interactions and photoelectrochemical function in the present system will provide valuable information on the design of molecular devices and machines including molecular photovoltaics.  相似文献

The surface derivatization of poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide) fiber was studied. The obtained surface-derivatized filaments were packed into a fused-silica capillary to evaluate its surface characteristics by using GC. As the stationary phase for GC the surface-derivatized fibers showed higher retention for alkanes and alkylbenzenes than that with the untreated Kevlar fiber. The improvements on the retention power and the peak shape were observed on the benzyl-modified fibrous stationary phase. The derivatized fibrous materials were also evaluated as the extraction medium in fiber-in-tube SPE, and the effect of the surface modification on the extraction power was compared to the parent fiber. The results indicated that the modified fiber possessed a higher extraction power than the untreated fiber. Based on the facts, the successful modification of the fiber surface was estimated.  相似文献

1-Benzenesulfonyl-5-aminoindole 5, prepared from 5-nitroindole 3, was condensed with alkyl isothiocyanates and separately with carbon disulfide and alkyl bromides/iodides to furnish efficiently the corresponding N-alkyl-thioureidoindoles 6a-c and the alkyl N-(indol-5′-yl)dithiocarbamates 9a-e, respectively. Their cyclisation using N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU), in the cold, followed by indolic N-deprotection, furnished regioselectively the 2-alkylamino- and the 2-alkylthiothiazolo[5,4-e]indoles 8a-c and 11a-e, respectively, in good overall yields.  相似文献

The assembly of imidazole‐functionalized phenanthroline‐strapped zinc porphyrins (ZnPorphen) with alkyl or polyethylene glycol (PEG) side chains was studied in solution and by AFM after casting on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) or mica. The nature of the solvent and its evaporation time influenced the morphology of the objects observed. On HOPG, short rods of about 100 nm were observed after fast evaporation of solutions of the alkyl derivatives in CHCl3, THF, or pyridine, whereas islands of aligned rows of longer wires were obtained from methylcyclohexane (MCH). Slow evaporation of MCH led to a three‐dimensional assembly. The PEG porphyrin assembled into short wires on HOPG or fibers on mica after slow evaporation of solutions in THF. This study shows the role of surface–molecule interactions in the interfacial assembly of ZnPorphen derivatives and contributes to understanding the parameters that control their noncovalent assembly into molecular wires on a surface.  相似文献
