Affinity of many inorganic compounds for the malignant tumor was examined, using the rats which were subcutaneously transplanted with Yoshida sarcoma. And the relations between the uptake rate into the malignant tumor and in vitro binding power to the protein were investigated in these compounds. In these experiments, the bipositive ions and anions had not affinity for the tumor tissue with a few exceptions. On the other hand, Hg, Au and Bi, which have strong binding power to the protein, showed high uptake rate into the malignant tumor. As Hg++, Au+ and Bi+++ are soft acids according to classification of Lewis acids, it was thought that these elements would bind strongly to soft base (R-SH, R-S-) present in the tumor tissue. In many hard acids (according to classification of Lewis acids), the uptake rate into the tumor was shown as a function of ionic potentials (valency/ionic radii) of the metal ions. It is presumed that the chemical bond of these hard acids in the tumor tissue is ionic bond to hard base (R-COO-, R-PO3(2-), R-SO3-, R-NH2). 相似文献

The crystal structure of thiamine iodide sesquihydrate has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods as a host-guest model for coenzyme-substrate interactions. The asymmetric unit contains two chemical units. Both the thiamine molecules A and B, which are crystallographically independent, assume the usualF conformation and have a disordered hydroxyethyl side chain. An iodide anion (or a water molecule) bridges the pyrimidine and thiazolium rings of molecule A (or B) by forming a hydrogen bond with the amino group and an electrostatic contact with the thiazolium ring to stabilize the molecular conformation. In the crystal the thiamine molecules self-associate to form a pipe-like polymeric structure, in which four thiamine hosts surround an iodide guest and hold it through C(2)-H...I hydrogen bonds and thiazolium...I electrostatic interactions. –Time-resolved fluorescence spectra in the ps time range were measured on phycobilisome (PBS) embedded in poly(vinyl alcohol) films. The cyanobacterium Tolypothrix tenuis was used as a source of PBS because the pigment composition and the structure of the PBS are well defined. Isotropic PBS in the unstretched film and PBS uniaxially oriented in the stretched film were investigated. Diameters of PBS hemidiscs were oriented parallel to the film-stretching direction. The time-resolved fluorescence spectra of the unstretched sample and of the two polarized components in the stretched samples showed several differences in the rise and decay. The delay time, estimated from the time span between the maximum laser pulse and maximal intensity of the phycocyanin and allophycocyanin fluorescence, was much longer than that reported in the aqueous media. This suggests occurrence of a higher thermal deactivation of PBS in polymer film than in aqueous media. The excitation energy transfer from excited phycocrythrin to allophycocyanin was more efficient in the unstretched than in the stretched samples, and it was greater in the parallel polarized component of the stretched sample than in the perpendicular component. The present results are in agreement with a previous suggestion which states that there are two independent pathways of excitation energy transfer in PBS and that there is more than one final emitter of fluorescence. A historical overview will be given on the structural studies on transition metal compounds and their interaction with other fields of coordination chemistry. About three decades have passed away since the structure and absolute configuration of tris(ethylenediamine)cobalt(III) complex ion were determined. At present accumulation of the structural data for isomers has enabled us to understand structural principles of chelate complexes in considerable detail. The energy minimization calculations can predict the detailed geometries of the complexes. Differences in thermodynamic properties between different conformers are well reproduced. Aspherical distribution of 3d electrons in transition metal complexes was detected for the first time in crystals of [Co(NH3)6][Co(CN)6] in 1973. Such an accurate electron density study provides important information on the d electrons placed in a ligand field. The high-spin and low-spin states can be distinguished unequivocally. In spite of a very small valence/total electron ratio, the asphericity of 4d and 5d electrons in a ligand field can be detected. The crystal structures of a series of dimeric copper(II) carboxylate adducts of the general formula [Cu(RCOO)2L]2 have been determined or redetermined as accurately as possible. The temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility of these crystals indicated that the isolated pairs of Cu(II) ions interact strongly through exchange forces. Molecular orbital calculations revealed that the electron population in the carbon atom of the bridging OCO group plays an important role in determining the strength of the spin superexchange interaction. In the crystals of some cobaloxime complexes, racemization of chiral groups bonded to Co proceeds on X-ray exposure without degradation of crystallinity. Several intermediate stages could be determined by X-ray analysis. Various reaction pathways were recognized and the reaction rate could be correlated with the atomic arrangement in the crystal. 相似文献

The dielectric solvent effect on HCCH, HCNH and HCNC spin coupling constants in ethane, tetrachloroethane and trans N-methylformamide has been calculated by finite perturbation theory based on the INDO and CNDO/2 approximations incorporating solvaton theory. The available experimental data are interpreted using the calculated variations of spin coupling constants. Nano sized crystalline particles/polymer hybrids were synthesized form designed metal-organic precursors. The newly developed method is composed of the synthesis of organic matrix by polymerization and the in situ nucleation and growth of crystalline oxide particles in the organic matrix below 100°C. The design of metal-organic precursor modified with polymerizable ligand and the selection of reaction conditions does influence the size and crystallinity of ceramic particles in organic matrix. The nano-sized magnetic particle/polymer hybrid exhibits the interesting feature of superparamagnetism and quantum size effect. The crystalline particles of BaTiO3/, PbTiO3/, and KNbO3/polymer hybrids behave to be dielectric and show the typical electro-rheological behavior. 相似文献
