One of the main operations in producing cable systems in the automotive industry is that of cutting/stripping/crimping. The most time-consuming activity in this operation is changing the heads whenever a different connector is to be crimped at either one of the ends. This set-up time is practically doubled when the heads at both ends are to be changed. Thus, one is faced with the problem of minimizing the total machine set-up time; which turns out to be a TSP where the distances between the nodes are either one or two. A simple and effective heuristic algorithm is developed that yields solutions, which are only a few percent above the optimum in the worst case.  相似文献

Hypericum (Hypericaceae) is a genus that comprises a high number of species around the world. In this study, the roots, aerial parts, flowers, fruits, and aerial parts with flowers from Hypericum scabrum were macerated separately by methanol and water and then fractionated by different solvents of, such as ethyl acetate, n-hexane, butanol, dichloromethane, aqueous residue sub-extracts, and ethnobotanical use. All the extracts, sub-extracts and essential oils of H. scabrum were investigated for the first time in detail for their antimicrobial, total phenolics, and antioxidant activities. Anatomical structures of the root, stem, leaf, upper and lower leaf surface, stamen, sepal, and petal of H. scabrum were examined. The biochemical layout of essential oils was determined by GC and GC/MS. The antioxidant activity was determined by free radical scavenging activity (by DPPH). Antimicrobial activity was applied against Candida albicans ATCC 10231, Escherichia coli ATCC 8739, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 19659, and C. tropicalis ATCC 750 using microdilution methods. The essentials of the aerial parts, flower, and fruit are characterized by the presence of monoterpene hydrocarbons, whereas roots oil include alkanes. The GC-FID and GC-MS analysis showed that major components of roots, aerial parts, flowers, and fruits oils were undecane (66.1%); α-pinene (17.5%), γ-terpinene (17.4%), and α-thujene (16.9%); α-pinene (55.6%), α-thujene (10.9%), and γ-terpinene (7.7%); α-pinene (85.2%), respectively. The aerial part sub-extracts indicated a greater level of total phenolics and antioxidant potential. The n-hexane sub-extracts (from aerial part, flower, and aerial part with flower) showed the best activity against B. subtilis, with 39.06 µg/mL MIC value. The presented research work indicates that H. scabrum can be a novel promising resource of natural antioxidant and antimicrobial compounds.  相似文献

Crataegus sp., also known as “hawthorn”, is one of the most prescribed herbal drugs and approved to be used against congestive heart failure. The extract is required to be standardized according to its flavonoid (vitexine-2″-O-rhamnoside and hyperoside) and oligomeric procyanidin content by the European Pharmacopoeia (EP). In this study, the leaves and berries of three Crataegus species including C. aronia var. aronia, C. monogyna ssp. monogyna (from two different localities) as well as C. pseudoheterophylla growing in Turkey were evaluated for their vitexine-2″-O-rhamnoside and hyperoside content by reversed-phase HPLC as well as their total procyanidin amount by a spectrophotometric method. In addition, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral activities of the extracts were also determined. Our results indicated that C. monogyna ssp. monogyna samples of both localities met the criteria required by the EP for their total flavonoid amount (2.49 and 2.86%) and total proanthocyanidin content (1.56 and 2.22%). According to data we obtained, the extracts have been verified to be highly effective against Candida albicans and Herpes simplex virus.

The effective barrier heights and ideality factors of identically fabricated Ni/n-type 6 H-SiC Schottky diodes (23 dots) have been calculated from their experimental forward bias current–voltage (I–V) and reverse bias capacitance–voltage (C–V) characteristics. A statistical study related to the experimental barrier heights (BHs) and ideality factors of the diodes has been made. The effective Schottky barrier heights (SBHs) and ideality factors obtained from the I–V and C–V characteristics have differed from diode to diode. The BHs obtained from the I–V characteristics varied from 0.85 to 1.03 eV, the ideality factors varied from 1.13 to 1.40 and the BHs from C-2–V characteristics varied from 1.10 to 1.70 eV. The experimental BH and ideality factor distributions obtained from the I–V characteristics are fitted by a Gaussian function, and their mean values are found to be 0.92±0.04 eV and 1.29±0.08 eV, respectively. The lateral homogeneous SBH value of 1.16 eV for the Ni/n-type 6H-SiC diodes has been calculated from a linear extrapolation of the effective barrier heights to nif=1.03. We present results of ab initio calculations of structural, electronic and vibrational properties of the Ge(0 0 1) surface covered with a monolayer of arsenic. The fully occupied πu bonding and πg antibonding electronic states due to the As-As dimer formation are quite close in energy and their ordering is same as that found on the Si(0 0 1) surface. Using our calculated atomic and electronic structures, surface lattice dynamics was studied by employing a linear response approach based on density functional perturbation theory. A comparison of the phonon spectrum of the Ge(0 0 1)/As(2 × 1) surface with that of the clean Ge(0 0 1)(2 × 1) surface indicates the presence of several new characteristic phonon modes due to adsorption of As atoms.  相似文献

In the present paper we are concerned with convergence in -density and -statistical convergence of sequences of functions defined on a subset D of real numbers, where is a finitely additive measure. Particularly, we introduce the concepts of -statistical uniform convergence and -statistical pointwise convergence, and observe that -statistical uniform convergence inherits the basic properties of uniform convergence.  相似文献
