The mechanism of charge-induced high spin is studied in pi-conjugated molecules by means of a model-Hamiltonian approach. Intersite Coulomb interactions are taken into account in a pi-conjugated moiety, which is coupled with two localized spins through exchange interactions. We clarify spin alignment in neutral and oxidized states by exact numerical calculations including all the correlation effects. In thianthrene-based molecules, one-electron oxidation induces strong ferromagnetic correlation between the localized spins irrespective of the spin alignment in the neutral state. The localized spins are coupled to the delocalized hole spin ferromagnetically, leading to a high-spin state in the oxidized molecule. Our calculations on structural dependence and effective exchange interaction are consistent with the recent experiment of thianthrene bis(nitronyl nitroxide). By comparing the thianthrene-based molecule with the anthracene-based one, we clarify the role of superexchange interactions via the sulfur atoms. 相似文献

Five kinds of 2-alkyl-substituted oxanes like 2-ethyloxane, 2-n-propyloxane, 2-iso-propyloxane, 2-n-butyloxane and 2-n-amyloxane were fluorinated electrochemically to give the corresponding perfluoro(2-alkyloxane)s. The perfluoro(2-alkyloxane)s were obtained in good yields from these starting materials together with isomeric perfluoro(2-alkyloxolane)s, perfluoro(2-alkyl-5-methyloxolane)s and perfluoro(dialkyl ether)s. The purification of the perfluoro(2-alkyloxane)s which contained small amounts of isomeric perfluoro(2-alkyloxolane)s was successfully achieved by recovering the former unreacted after treating these mixture with anhydrous aluminum chloride at 150 /sR 160 °C during /sR 48 hrs in order to convert the latter into the easy-separable perfluoro(2,5,5- trichloro-2-alkyloxolane)s. Small quantities of new perfluoro(5,5-dichloroalkanoyl chloride)s were also among the chlorination products. The spectroscopic data as well as the physical properties of these new fluorination products, and perfluoro(2,5,5-trichloro-2-alkyloxolane)s and perfluoro(5,5-dichloroalkanoyl chloride)s are presented. 相似文献

The molecular mechanism for 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) photosensitization was studied in thymine-requiring wild-type and uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG)-deficient ung mutant cells of Escherichia coli K-12. Wild-type cells were more sensitive to BrdU photosensitiLation than ung mutant cells. IJV induced the identica/ numbers of alkaline sucrose single-strand breaks (SSB) in 5-bromouracil-DNA (BrU-DNA) of both the wild type and ung mutant. The ung mutant cells repaired SSB almost completely, whereas the wild-type cells with UDG produced more adverse SSB by 90 min after UV. Neutral agarose gel electrophoresis of minipreps indicated that UV induced (1) more smears of host BrU-DNA possibly by more double-strand breaks (DSB) and (2) a greater decline of pBR322 Form I BrU-DNA in the wild-type cells than the ung cells. These results indicated a greater induction of SSB by apyrimidinic (AP) endonucleases in wild-type cells. The ung/ wild ratios (=1.7–1.9) for cellular and plasmid BrdU sensitizations aftcr growth in 50% BrdU were similar. The extents of UDG-dependent and UDG-independent sensitizations in wild-type cells were ∼40 and ∼60%, respectively. The xth nfo double mutant defective in both exonuclcase III and endonucleasc IV was more sensitive to BrdU photosensitization than the wild type, indicating that an excess of AP sites remaining after uracil excision in the xth nfo mutant causes a greater BrdU photosensitization than SSB by AP endonucleases in wild-type cells. Conversely, the xth rfo ung triple mutant was more resistant to BrdU photosensitization than the xth nfo double mutant, so that UV-induced uracil residues in the BrU-DNA are tolerated and do not appear to be directly responsible for BrdU photosensitization. 相似文献

The stability and some physicochemical properties of a novel hexapeptide, (Me)Arg-Lys-Pro-Trp-tert-Leu-Leu-OEt (I), with neurotensin activity, were investigated. The degradation of I in aqueous solution was observed as a pseudo-first order reaction. By determining the degradation rate of I at various pH values, it was found that I was most stable at around pH 4. The activation energies of the degradation in aqueous solutions at pH 2.2, 6.1, 7.0 and 8.0 were 16.3, 22.2, 23.9 and 24.2 kcal/mol, respectively. The enzymatic hydrolysis of I was studied in vitro with a porcine liver esterase at 37 degrees C. The degradation of I in this system was observed as a pseudo-first order reaction. The degradation rate of I in the presence of the esterase was about 10000 times larger than the rate in a buffer solution. I in the solid state was stable under 65 degrees C and labilized by strong light and/or high humidity. The pKa1, pKa2 and pKa3 of I were 7.1, 10.0 and 11.3, respectively. The partition coefficients between n-octanol and the buffer solution at pH values ranging from 2 to 11 were measured. The partition coefficient increased with the increase of the pH value. But the value at pH 7.0 was 2.10 x 10(-2), which was very low. The solubility of I in aqueous solution was more than 10 mg/ml. From the results of the powder X-ray diffraction pattern, I in the solid state was found to be amorphous. The dissolution rates in the 1st and 2nd fluid of JPXI at 37 degrees C and 100 rpm were 19.4 and 9.0 mg/cm2.min, respectively. 相似文献

PLZT((Pb,La)(Zr,Ti)O3) ceramic fibers were prepared by the sol-gel method from a solution of lead acetate trihydrate, lanthanum isopropoxide, zirconium n-propoxide and titanium isopropoxide containing 2-methoxyethanol as the solvent. The as-drawn gel fibers were pretreated in an autoclave and preheated in flowing H2O vapor prior to the heat-treatment for crystallization. The effects of autoclaving and preheating in flowing H2O vapor on the structure and composition of the resultant fibers were investigated. Optically transparent single phase perovskite PLZT fibers of 5–15 m in thickness and 5 cm in length were successfully prepared when the autoclave-treatment and the preheating in flowing H2O vapor were conducted prior to crystallization. These treatments are thought to promote hydrolysis of the organic groups and polycondensation reaction in the gel fibers, leading to the successful formation of dense, crack-free transparent PLZT fibers. 相似文献

Ambient particulate matter and gas in Kyoto were investigated by gravimetric analysis, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, and ion chromatography in order to clarify their behavior and origin. The size distribution and characteristics of the chemical components in ambient particulates collected on PTFE membrane filters using an Andersen air sampler were examined from August 2001 to April 2004. A four-stage filter pack method was used to sample the atmosphere for the determination of gas (SO2, HNO3, HCl, NH3) and particulate matter (SO42, NO3, Cl-, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, NH4+) concentrations from October 2002 to April 2004. The concentration of SPM mass was in the range of 6.7 - 80.2 microg/m3. The size distributions of SPM mass were bimodal, peaking at around 0.65 - 1.1 and 3.3 - 4.7 microm, and 40 - 85% of SPM mass was fine particles (< 2.1 microm). Na, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Cl, and Fe were mainly present in coarse particles (2.1 to 11.0 microm), while S was present in fine particles. The concentrations of Al, Si, Ca, Mg, and Fe in fine particles increased from March to April in 2002, and those in coarse particulates increased in November 2002 and from March to April in 2004. This may be the effect of the continental yellow sand "Kosa." The differences in the size distributions of Al, Si, Ca, Mg, and Fe in particles may depend on differences in their place of occurrence and course of transport from China to Japan. The concentration of HCl gas was higher than that of particulate chloride ion in summer. Nitric acid gas existed at higher concentrations in summer, but fine particulate nitrate ion was observed in winter. The gaseous-to-fine aerosol nitrate fraction became higher at warmer temperatures. Coarse sulfate was below 10%, and SO2 gas and fine particulate sulfate were above 90%. 相似文献

Methane is shown to react with ethene over In-loaded ZSM-5 to higher hydrocarbons such as propene and toluene at around 673 K. Such methane conversion is not catalyzed by proton-exchanged ZSM-5 (H-ZSM-5) under the same conditions, only C2H4 being converted to higher hydrocarbons. By using 13C-labeled methane (13CH4) as a reactant, the reaction paths for the formation of propene, benzene and toluene were examined. 13C-labeled propene (13CC2H6) is formed by the reaction of 13CH4 with C2H4. The lack of 13C-labeled benzene revealed that propene is not transformed to benzene, which instead originates entirely from C2H4. The 13C atom is inserted both into the methyl group and benzene ring in the toluene formed. This indicates that toluene is formed by two reaction paths; the reaction of 13CC2H6 with butenes formed by the dimerization of C2H4 and the reaction of benzene with 13CH4. The existence of the latter path was proved by the direct reaction of 13CH4 with benzene. The reaction of methane with benzene was also carried out in a continuous flow system over In-loaded ZSM-5. The reaction afforded 7.6% and 0.9% yields of toluene and xylenes, respectively, at 623 K. 相似文献

The solubilization behavior of oleyl alcohol by pure and mixtures of surfactants systems have been studied in terms of the maximum additive concentration (MAC), the solubilizing power, and the particle sizes of micelles with or without oleyl alcohol. The surfactants used are amphoteric (N,N-dimethyl-N-lauroyl lysine, DMLL; N,N,N-trimethyl-N-lauroyl lysine, TMLL; N,N-dimethyl-N-(carboxymethyl)-lauryl ammonium, DMCL), anionic (sodium dodecyl sulfate, SDS) and nonionic (alkyl polyoxyethylene ethers).The maximum additive concentration of oleyl alcohol by pure surfactants is larger by nonionic surfactants than by others.For a nonionic surfactant system mixed with DMLL, the mixing effect of surfactant on the increase in the MAC is not recognized. While, for DMLL mixed with SDS, the MAC becomes larger than that by pure surfactants. The chalcone synthase (CHS) superfamily of type III polyketide synthases (PKSs) produces a variety of plant secondary metabolites with remarkable structural diversity and biological activities (e.g., chalcones, stilbenes, benzophenones, acrydones, phloroglucinols, resorcinols, pyrones, and chromones). Here we describe an octaketide-producing novel plant-specific type III PKS from aloe (Aloe arborescens) sharing 50-60% amino acid sequence identity with other plant CHS-superfamily enzymes. A recombinant enzyme expressed in Escherichia coli catalyzed seven successive decarboxylative condensations of malonyl-CoA to yield aromatic octaketides SEK4 and SEK4b, the longest polyketides known to be synthesized by the structurally simple type III PKS. Surprisingly, site-directed mutagenesis revealed that a single residue Gly207 (corresponding to the CHS's active site Thr197) determines the polyketide chain length and product specificity. Small-to-large substitutions (G207A, G207T, G207M, G207L, G207F, and G207W) resulted in loss of the octaketide-forming activity and concomitant formation of shorter chain length polyketides (from triketide to heptaketide) including a pentaketide chromone, 2,7-dihydroxy-5-methylchromone, and a hexaketide pyrone, 6-(2,4-dihydroxy-6-methylphenyl)-4-hydroxy-2-pyrone, depending on the size of the side chain. Notably, the functional diversity of the type III PKS was shown to evolve from simple steric modulation of the chemically inert single residue lining the active-site cavity accompanied by conservation of the Cys-His-Asn catalytic triad. In acidic aqueous solution, a cobalt(III) complex containing monodentate N(9)-bound adeninate (ade(-)), cis-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]Cl (cis-[1]Cl), underwent protonation to the adeninate moiety without geometrical isomerization or decomposition of the Co(III) coordination sphere, and complexes of cis-[CoCl(Hade)(en)(2)]Cl(2) (cis-[2]Cl(2)) and cis-[Co(H(2)ade)Cl(en)(2)]Cl(3) (cis-[3]Cl(3)) could be isolated. The pK(a) values of the Hade and H(2)ade(+) complexes are 6.03(1) and 2.53(12), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl. The single-crystal X-ray analyses of cis-[2]Cl(2).0.5H(2)O and cis-[3]Cl(2)(BF(4)).H(2)O revealed that protonation took place first at the adeninate N(7) and then at the N(1) atoms to form adenine tautomer (7H-Hade-kappaN(9)) and cationic adeninium (1H,7H-H(2)ade(+)-kappaN(9)) complexes, respectively. On the other hand, addition of NaOH to an aqueous solution of cis-[1]Cl afforded a mixture of geometrical isomers of the hydroxo-adeninato complex, cis- and trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))(OH)(en)(2)](+). The trans-isomer of chloro-adeninato complex trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]BF(4) (trans-[1]BF(4)) was synthesized by a reaction of cis-[2](BF(4))(2) and sodium methoxide in methanol. This isomer in acidic aqueous solution was also stable toward isomerization, affording the corresponding adenine tautomer and adeninium complexes (pK(a) = 5.21(1) and 2.48(9), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl). The protonated product of trans-[Co(7H-Hade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)](BF(4))(2).H(2)O (trans-[2](BF(4))(2).H(2)O) could also be characterized by X-ray analysis. Furthermore, the hydrogen-bonding interactions of the adeninate/adenine tautomer complexes cis-[1]BF(4), cis-[2](BF(4))(2), and trans-[2](BF(4))(2) with 1-cyclohexyluracil in acetonitrile-d(3) were investigated by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of trans-[Co(ade)(H(2)O)(en)(2)]HPO(4).3H(2)O, which was obtained by a reaction of trans-[Co(ade)(OH)(en)(2)]BF(4) and NaH(2)PO(4), was also determined. 相似文献
