A series of novel bisthiacalix[4]arenes with diimine linkages of different aromatic or heteroaromatic dialdehydes have been synthesized. The structure of one of the bisthiacalixarene has been analyzed by X-ray crystallography. These molecules quantitatively extract silver ion from aqueous into organic phase under neutral conditions.  相似文献

Thermal and spectral studies of reactions between 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone (lawsone) and sodium metal (Lw-1, Lw-1A, Lw-1B), CH3COONa (Lw-2), NaOH (Lw-3), KOH (Lw-4), K2CO3 (Lw-5), Tris buffer (Lw-6), ammonia (Lw-7) are studied. Red solids of Lw-1 to Lw-7, Lw-1A, and Lw-1B were isolated and are characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and UV–Visible spectroscopy. FT-IR spectra of Lw-1A and Lw-1B show, ν OH of adsorbed as well as coordinated water molecules between 3,600–3,100 cm?1 and decrease in ν C=O frequency of lawsone ligand. The benzenoid ring protons C(5)H, C(8)H, C(6)H and C(7)H in Lw-1A and Lw-1B show upfield shift in 1H NMR spectra. Hypsochromic shift and bathochromic shift is observed to π–π* transition band (~329 nm) and charge transfer band (~455 nm), respectively in UV–Visible spectra of all compounds. Pyrolytic decomposition of all compounds is studied by nonisothermal TG studies in air. Step I in all compounds leads to loss of adsorbed water molecules. Decomposition of lawsone anion in all compounds occurs in two or more steps. Thermodynamically Lw-1 to Lw-7, Lw-1A and Lw-1B are different compounds and their decomposition mechanisms are varied. The respective metal oxide residue viz. (Na2O or K2O) obtained after complete decomposition of Lw-1 to Lw-5, Lw-1A, and Lw-1B, is analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction. The adsorbed as well as coordinated water molecules are revealed by DTA and DSC studies as endothermic peak at ~100 °C. Decomposition mechanisms for lawsone anion are proposed based on LC–MS, GC–MS, and TG studies. Thermal and spectral studies reveal the coordination of lawsone ligand in its naphthosemiquinone form with alkali metal ions.  相似文献

A new series of 4-(4-(1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)quinoline ( 6a-t ) have been synthesized by a click reaction of 4-(4-ethynyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)quinoline ( 4a-d ) with a substituted benzyl azide ( 5a-e ). The starting alkyne derivatives 4a-d are obtained from Bestmann-Ohira reaction of 1-phenyl-3-(quinolin-4-yl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and dimethyl(1-diazo-2-oxopropyl)phosphonate. The newly synthesized compounds are screened against M. tuberculosis H37Ra dormant and active, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas fluorescence, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis strains at 30 μg/mL concentration. Most of the screened compounds showed good to moderate antibacterial activity against S. aureus, B. subtilis, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra strains. The synthesized derivatives of quinolinyl-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and quinolinyl-pyrazole-4-ethyne reportd good to moderate activity against both strains of M. tuberculosis H37Ra. Ten derivatives of quinolinyl-pyrazole presented good activity against B. subtilis. These results suggested that further optimization and development of quinolinyl-pyrazolyl-1,2,3-triazole moeity could serve as lead compounds for antimycobacterial activity.  相似文献

We report lithium ion intercalation mediated efficient exfoliation of graphite to form monolithic graphene sheets which have subsequently been investigated for the development of highly sensitive label-free electrochemical detection platform for cardiac biomarker, Troponin I (cTnI). The spectroscopic and morphological analysis demonstrated the formation of defect free graphene sheets which were successfully employed to fabricate an inter-digited microdevice in a drain-source configuration on a silicon biochip. The graphene gated biochip functionalized with anti-cTnI antibodies used in label free detection of cTnI which exhibited an excellent sensitivity in the picogram range (∼1 pg mL−1) for cTnI without the use of any enzymatic amplification that promises its potential applicability for bio-molecular detection in clinical diagnosis.  相似文献

Three new α‐phenylcinnamic acid derivatives [4‐methoxy‐α‐phenylcinnamic acid, α‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐cinnamic acid, and 4,4′‐bismethoxy‐α‐phenylcinnamic acid] were synthesized, characterized, and selectively used for protecting the exocyclic amino function of purine nucleosides (2′‐deoxyadenosine and 2′‐deoxyguanosine) via active ester generation. The acids were first activated using p‐nitrophenol, and these activated esters were used subsequently for the selective protection of amino groups. The N‐protected derivatives of 2′‐deoxyguanosine and 2′‐deoxyadenosine have been found to be sufficiently stable toward acids, thus minimizing depurination under oligodeoxyribonucleotide synthesis protocol. The ease of syntheses of N‐protected purine nucleosides, their stability under an acidic environment, and mild deprotection conditions are the key advantages of the new protecting groups.  相似文献

A simple and efficient Knoevenagel condensation method for the synthesis of trisubstituted electrophilic alkenes was developed using lipase as a biocatalyst. Knoevenagel condensation was performed using the conventional method and using lipases (Aspergillus oryzae or Rhizopus oryzae) as biocatalysts, and reaction time, reaction temperature, yield, and recyclability were compared. Using a lipase as a biocatalyst eliminated the need for bases such as piperidine and pyridine. A wide range of aromatic aldehydes and ketones readily undergo condensation with active methylene compounds. The workup procedure is also very simple, and yields of the reactions are in the range of 75% to 95%. Both the biocatalysts were effectively recycled four times with no major decrease in the yield of product. The remarkable catalytic activity and reusability of lipase widens its applicability in Knoevenagel condensation with good to excellent yields for synthesis of trisubstituted electrophilic alkenes.  相似文献

Novel coordination polymers of 2,5-bis(naphthalen-1-ylcarbamoyl)terephthalicacid were prepared by using various metal salts viz. Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) and characterized by physicochemical, thermogravimetric and spectroscopic techniques. Electronic spectral analysis and magnetic measurement studies were taken into account for the geometry of coordination polymers. Polymeric properties have also been carried out. Compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. Growth inhibition was compared with the standard drug ciprofloxacin. Antifungal activity was also carried out against different fungal strains. The antifungal drug, ketoconazole was used as a positive control.  相似文献

Abstract

A polyphenolic flavonoid, Silymarin isolated from Silybum marianum is widely known for its hepatoprotective action. In the present study anti-plasmodial activity of Silymarin has been demonstrated for the first time having IC50 of 14?±?0.33?μM against the NF-54 strain of P. falciparum with high selectivity index (>100). The parasitostatic action is exerted through inhibition of β-hematin/hemozoin formation which is due to the interaction (Kd?=?3.63?±?0.9µM) of silymarin with free heme in a Stoichiometry of 1:1 Silymarin: heme complex resulting into heme-induced membrane damage in the parasite. Silymarin could hinder the glutathione and hydrogen peroxide-induced heme detoxification. Silymarin also induces apoptosis in the parasite through the elevation of caspase-3 level in a dose-dependent manner. Results from the docking studies suggest that Silymarin interacts with heme.  相似文献

The objective of this research work was to develop a simple, highly sensitive and precise method for spectrophotometric determination of osmium(IV). O-Methylphenyl thiourea (OMPT) coordinates with osmium(IV) as a 1:1 (osmium(IV)–OMPT) complex in hydrochloric acid media (0.8 mol l?1). The novelty of the investigated method is instant complex formation at room temperature with no need of heating or standing. The complex is stable for more than 8 days. The method is applicable over a wide linearity range (up to 110 µg ml?1). A low reagent concentration is required (2 ml, 0.009 mol l?1 in ethanol). The complex exhibits maximum absorption in the range of wavelength 510–522 nm and 514 nm was selected for further study. The molar absorptivity was 1.864 × 103 l mol?1 cm?1, Sandell’s sensitivity was 0.102 µg of osmium(IV) cm?2. Proposed method was successfully applied for separation and determination of osmium(IV) from binary and ternary synthetic mixtures containing associated metal ions. A scheme for mutual separation of osmium(IV), rhodium(III) and platinum(IV) is developed.  相似文献

Micellar behavior of dodecyldimethylamine oxide (DMDAO) with bile salts [sodium deoxycholate (NaDC) and sodium cholate (NaC)] with and without NaCl was studied by surface tension. Interaction parameters of the mixed micelles were estimated using Rubingh's theory. Strong synergism observed for each mixed system, which is a common feature shown by anionic-cationic mixtures. The mixed solutions remained clear even at equimolar ratio. Different behavior of the two bile salts is explained on the basis of their orientation in cationic micelles.  相似文献
