Impact of Magnesium(II) on Beryllium Fluorides in Solutions Studied by 19F NMR Spectroscopy

Beryllium fluorides are widely used in protein phosphorylation studies to get stable transition state analogs or near attack conformers, which has attracted much attention. BeF₃^? is one of the optimal phosphoryl (PO₃^?) analogs for its identical geometry and charge, and Mg²⁺ naturally participates in the phosphoryl binding in biological systems. In solutions, BeF₃^? coexists with other beryllium fluorides (BeF₄^2?, BeF₂ and BeF⁺) and magnesium fluorides, and there are equilibriums between these species. In this article, ¹⁹F NMR spectroscopy was applied to the investigation of the impact of magnesium(II) on beryllium fluorides. It has been found that when Mg²⁺ was introduced into the solutions, the chemical shifts, the intensities and the line widths of ¹⁹F signals of various beryllium fluoride complexes were changed. After ionic strength correction, these effects were remarkable only for BeF₄^2? and BeF₃^?, especially BeF₄^2?, when the concentration of the fluoride ion is relatively low. Mechanism of the effects is proposed which involves ion pair formation between Mg²⁺ and beryllium fluorides.     

The boiling point and molar enthalpy of vaporization of fluorint FC-70 N(C5F11)3

N(C₅F₁₁)₃ (Fluorint FC-70) has been chosen as the test material to compare the chemicophysical data obtained by static-sample and DSC methods. The normal boiling point, the molar enthalpy of vaporization, and the constants of the Antoine equation of fluorint FC-70 are reported. DSC can be developed into a simple and rapid routine instrument to determine the enthalpy of vaporization as well as the boiling point of liquid, particularly at relative high temperature.     

Reversal Circularly Polarized Luminescence of AIE‐Active Chiral Binaphthyl Molecules from Solution to Aggregation

Four aggregation‐induced emission (AIE)‐active chiral binaphthyl‐based molecules, (R/S)‐ 1 and (R/S)‐ 2 , were designed and synthesized. Interestingly, all of them can exhibit reversal circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) signals from solution to aggregation, which could be attributed to the different dihedral angle of binaphthyl units from cis‐conformation in pure THF solution to trans‐conformation in THF/water mixtures.     

改进的QuEChERS结合气相色谱-三重四极杆质谱法快速测定酸肉中10种挥发性N-亚硝胺类化合物

采用改进的QuEChERS方法进行提取和净化,建立了气相色谱-三重四极杆质谱(GC-MS/MS)快速测定酸肉样品中10种挥发性N-亚硝胺类化合物的检测方法。样品经乙腈提取和正己烷除脂后,采用十八烷基硅烷键合硅胶(C18)和N-丙基乙二胺(PSA)混合吸附剂净化,采用DB-WAX色谱柱(30 m×0.25 mm×0.25μm)分离,在选择反应监测(SRM)模式下进行测定,外标法定量。10种N-亚硝胺类化合物在1~100μg/L范围内线性关系良好,相关系数(r)均0.99。10种N-亚硝胺类化合物的加标回收率为79.8%~115.3%,相对标准偏差(RSD)为0.6%~22.9%(n=6);方法的检出限(LOD,S/N=3)和定量限(LOQ,S/N=10)分别为0.04~0.3μg/kg和0.1~1μg/kg。该法简便快速,灵敏有效,适用于酸肉中N-亚硝胺类化合物的快速筛查和测定。     

Highly enantioselective fluorescent recognition of amino acid derivatives by unsymmetrical salan sensors

Novel unsymmetrical salan fluorescent sensors 2a and 2b have been designed and synthesized. The chiral recognition of N-Boc-protected amino acids by 2a and 2b has been investigated. Sensor 2a possesses higher sensitivity and enantioselectivity than sensor 2b does. Job analysis and nonlinear regression results show that 2a can form a 1:1 stoichiometric complex with a N-Boc-protected amino acid. The obtained response selectivities and the association constants indicate that 2a is a highly enantioselective and sensitive fluorescent sensor toward N-Boc-protected amino acids.     

Organocatalytic asymmetric Michael-type/Wittig reaction of phosphorus ylides: synthesis of chiral α-methylene-δ-ketoesters

An asymmetric Michael-type reaction of phosphorus ylides and α,β-unsaturated ketones under the catalysis of a chiral ion pair catalyst has been described. The ion pair catalyst containing a chiral counteranion was prepared by simply mixing 9-amino-(9-deoxy)-epi-quinine with l-N-Boc-proline. The optically active α-methylene-δ-ketoesters could be obtained with good to excellent enantioselectivities (up to 95% ee) under mild reaction conditions.

Microplasma Technology and Its Applications in Analytical Chemistry

Abstract

This review article describes some existing microplasma sources and their applications in analytical chemistry. These microplasmas mainly include direct current glow discharge (DC), microhollow-cathode discharge (MHCD) or microstructure electrode (MSE), dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), capacitively coupled microplasmas (CCμPs), miniature inductively coupled plasmas (mICPs), and microwave-induced plasmas (MIPs). The historical development and recent advances in these microplasma techniques are presented. Fundamental properties of the microplasmas, the unique features of the reduced size and volume, as well as the advantageous device structures for chemical analysis are discussed in detail, with the emphasis toward detection of gaseous samples. The analytical figures of merit obtained using these microplasmas as molecular/elemental-selective detectors for emission spectrometry and as ionization sources for mass spectrometry are also given in this review article.     

Symmetry reductions and exact solutions to the systems of carbon nanotubes conveying fluid

In this paper, the systems of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) conveying fluid are considered by the combination of Lie symmetry analysis and the dynamical system method. All of the geometric vector fields of the three systems are obtained, then the symmetry reductions and exact solutions to the systems are investigated by the dynamical system and the power series method. Especially, the convergence of the power series solution to the nonlinear system is shown under the condition which is easily satisfied generally.
