Deconfined quantum phase transition from Néel phase to valence bond crystal state in 2D Heisenberg model is under debate nowadays. One crucial issue is the suppression of Haldane's instanton on quantum critical point which drives the spinon deconfined. In this Letter, by making use of the ?-mapping topological current theory, we reexamine the Haldane's instanton in an alternative way along the direction of topology. We find that the monopole events are space-time singularities of Néel field , the corresponding topological charges are the wrapping number of around the singularities which can be expressed in terms of the Hopf indices and Brouwer degrees of ?-mapping. The suppression of the monopole events can only be guaranteed when the ?-field possesses no zero points. Moreover, the quadrapolarity of monopole events in the Heisenberg model due to the Berry phase is also reproduced in this topological argument. 相似文献

Study of theoretical tensile strength of Fe by afirst-principles computational tensile test

This paper employs a first-principles total-energy method to
investigate the theoretical tensile strengths of bcc and fcc Fe
systemically. It indicates that the theoretical tensile strengths
are shown to be 12.4, 32.7, 27.5~GPa for bcc Fe, and 48.1, 34.6,
51.2~GPa for fcc Fe in the [001], [110] and [111] directions,
respectively. For bcc Fe, the [001] direction is shown to be the
weakest direction due to the occurrence of a phase transition from
ferromagnetic bcc Fe to high spin ferromagnetic fcc Fe. For
fcc Fe, the [110] direction is the weakest direction due to the
formation of an instable saddle-point `bct structure' in the tensile
process. Furthermore, it demonstrates that a magnetic instability
will occur under a tensile strain of 14%, characterized by the
transition of ferromagnetic bcc Fe to paramagnetic fcc Fe.
The results provide a good reference to understand the intrinsic
mechanical properties of Fe as a potential structural material in

equations are a coupled system of nonlinear partial differential
equations consisting of the Nernst-Planck equation and
the electrostatic Poisson equation with delta distribution sources,
which describe the electrodiffusion of ions in a solvated
biomolecular system. In this paper, some error bounds for a piecewise
finite element approximation to this problem are derived. Several numerical

研究了聚丙烯(PP)及含有受阻酚类抗氧剂和受阻胺类光稳定剂复合体系的PP复合物经过γ-射线辐照后发生的结构变化及抗老化剂所起作用。实验利用红外光谱(FTIR)和示差扫描量热法(DSC)对PP的结构变化进行了系统表征。研究结果表明,当辐照剂量较小(50 kGy)时,纯PP及其复合物体系均未发生明显降解;当辐照剂量较大(≥50 kGy)时,PP及其复合物的羰基指数迅速提高,二者的结晶温度和熔融温度大幅度降低,说明PP发生了严重降解。在相同γ-射线辐照剂量条件下(≥50 kGy),PP复合物的羰基指数高于纯PP,而结晶温度以及熔融温度低于纯PP,表明高辐照剂量下抗老化剂复合物的存在不但没有阻止聚丙烯的降解,反而加快了降解的速率。 相似文献

We observed an azo-isomerization-induced Freedericksz transition of the 5CB liquid crystal doped with 1% double-azo. In experiment, we found that the Freedericksz transition threshold occurred at optical intensity level of 0.3 mW/mm2 for the 12.5 μm-thickness planar alignment doped 5CB, which is four orders of magnitude lower as that for the pure 5CB. Using optical phase retardation, we measured the relations between the Freedericksz transition threshold and the pump beam polarization. The maximum twist angle of liquid crystal molecules under different pump beam intensity is given. The experiment indicated that trans–cis isomerization plays an important role in the decrease of the Freedericksz transition threshold. 相似文献

Variation of crystal structure of natural clinochlore with pressure was investigated by the approach of diamond anvil cell (DAC) and in situ micro-Raman spectroscopic measurement at 200 degrees C and up to 7.7 GPa. The 481 and 786 cm(-1) peaks shift towards high-frequency linearly with increasing pressure at 200 degrees C. The linear relations between Raman shift (N, cm(-1)) and pressure (P, GPa) for the two peaks are: N = 11.136P+482.6 (R2 = 0.987 4) and N = 5.055P+785.7 (R2 = 0.983 7), respectively. The 865 cm(-1) peak arising from the stretching mode of the Si-O(nb) shifts slightly because of the strong repulsion between T cations at the tetrahedral sites and M cations at the octahedral sites in the TOT layer. Raman shift of 481 cm(-1) and 786 means the shortening of the length of M-O(br) and Si-CO(br) bonds since the peaks are contributed by the stretching mode of the M-O(br) and Si-O(br) respectively. No phase transition of clinochlore under the experimental condition was found. The results indicate that chlorite minerals may be stable at least at a depth of 80-90 km in the cold subduction zones, and the fluid derived from chlorite dehydration may be an important fact for earthquake occurrence in the subduction zones. 相似文献
