This article is concerned about an optimization‐based domain decomposition method for numerical simulation of the incompressible Navier‐Stokes flows. Using the method, an classical domain decomposition problem is transformed into a constrained minimization problem for which the objective functional is chosen to measure the jump in the dependent variables across the common interfaces between subdomains. The Lagrange multiplier rule is used to transform the constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained one and that rule is applied to derive an optimality system from which optimal solutions may be obtained. The optimality system is also derived using “sensitivity” derivatives instead of the Lagrange multiplier rule. We consider a gradient‐type approach to the solution of domain decomposition problem. The results of some numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility and applicability of the algorithm developed in this article. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics of a two-dimensional predator–prey model, which is based on a modified version of the Leslie–Gower scheme incorporating a prey refuge. We establish a Lyapunov function to prove the global stability of the equilibria with diffusion and determine the Turing space in the spatial domain. Furthermore, we perform a series of numerical simulations and find that the model dynamics exhibits complex Turing pattern replication: stripes, cold/hot spots-stripes coexistence and cold/hot spots patterns. The results indicate that the effect of the prey refuge for pattern formation is tremendous. This may enrich the dynamics of the effect of refuge on the predator-prey systems. 相似文献

The present paper investigates the issues of impulsive synchronization seeking in general complex delayed dynamical networks with nonsymmetrical coupling. By establishing the extended Halanay differential inequality on impulsive delayed dynamical systems, some simple yet generic sufficient conditions for global exponential synchronization of the impulsive controlled delayed dynamical networks are derived analytically. Compared with some existing works, the distinctive features of these sufficient conditions indicate two aspects: on the one hand, these sufficient conditions can provide an effective impulsive control scheme to synchronize an arbitrary given delayed dynamical network to a desired synchronization state even if the original given network may be asynchronous itself. On the other hand, the controlled synchronization state can be selected as a weighted average of all the states in the network for the purpose of practical control strategy, which reveals the contributions and influences of various nodes in synchronization seeking processes of the dynamical networks. It is shown that impulses play an important role in making the delayed dynamical networks globally exponentially synchronized. Furthermore, the results are applied to a typical nearest-neighbor unidirectional time-delay coupled networks composed of chaotic FHN neuron oscillators, and numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control methodology. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to show that a recently proposed technique for eigenstructure assignment of linear time-invariant systems can be extended to solve the corresponding eigenstructure assignment problem for linear parameter-varying systems, whose state-space matrices depend on a set of time-varying parameters that are bounded and available online. In particular, the design of eigenstructure assignment is performed without requiring any conditions on the closed-loop eigenvalues, and provides a simple, complete and analytical parametric approach as well as the most degrees of design freedom for the eigenstructure assignment problem of linear parameter-varying systems. In this paper, we investigate the Novikov equation with weak dissipation terms. First, we give the local well-posedness and the blow-up scenario. Then, we discuss the global existence of the solutions under certain conditions. After that, on condition that the compactly supported initial data keeps its sign, we prove the infinite propagation speed of our solutions, and establish the large time behavior. 采用变结构控制方法对非惯性系下柔性悬臂梁的振动主动控制进行研究.重点通过算例揭示一次近似模型与传统的零次近似模型的巨大差异,以及变结构方法在控制非惯性系下柔性悬臂梁的稳态振动的有效性.结果表明,当大范围旋转运动角速度较大时,传统零次近似模型不能对动力系统进行正确的数学描述;变结构控制方法能够使得非惯性系下梁的稳态振动得到完全镇定,且该方法对转动角速度变化具有较好的鲁棒性;采用零次近似模型进行控制设计的控制效果将在某一临界角速度条件下出现失效,该临界角速度值大于静止悬臂梁的基频. 相似文献
