Electric field ionization from deep trapping levels in a-Selenium

The deep trapping levels in a-selenium have been measured by the electric field stimulated current method. It is found that the enhancement of detrapping from the trapping levels is proportional to EXP ($\text{α/}\text{kTxE}{}^{\mathrm{<mtext>1</mtext><mtext>2</mtext>}}$) where $\text{α/}\text{kT}\text{=0.012 (}\text{m/V}\text{)}{}^{\mathrm{<mtext>1</mtext><mtext>2</mtext>}}$) and E is electric field. The distribution of trapping time is also obtained.

A new asymmetric two-center phase-transfer catalyst was designed and a catalyst library containing more than 40 new two-center catalysts was constructed. The 4,4′,4′-tris(benzoyloxy)trityl (TBTr) group was introduced into the amino groups of the common deoxyribonucleosides by means of the transient protection using the trimethylsilyl group. The TBTr group introduced onto the N⁶ -amino group of deoxyadenosine was found to have considerable retarding effects on the depurination when treated with acids.     

A comment on the perturbation in thermo field dynamics

We investigate, in the context of the effective potential, the temperature dependent imaginary terms which appear in the finite temperature perturbation based on Thermo Field Dynamics. It is shown that the imaginary terms cancell with each other and thus the effective potential is real.     

Identification of a new isotope of121La by means of element-selective mass separation

A new isotope of¹²¹La was produced in the reaction³²S +⁹²Mo and mass-separated as¹²¹La¹⁶O⁺, being well separated from¹²¹Cs and¹²¹Ba. From γ-ray measurement, the half-life of this isotope was determined to be 5.3±0.2 s. Its partial decay scheme is proposed.
