Solvation structure of the zinc(II) ion in N,N-dimethylpropionamide (DMPA) was studied by Raman spectroscopy at varying temperature and by quantum mechanical calculations. No significant ion-pair formation was found for the Zn(ClO4)2 solution in the molality range m(Zn) < 1.5 mol kg(-1), and the solvation number of the zinc(II) ion was determined to be 4, indicating that 6-coordination of DMPA is sterically hindered. Interestingly, DMPA molecules are under equilibrium between planar cis and nonplanar staggered conformers, and the latter is more preferred in the coordination sphere, while the reverse is the case in the bulk. The DeltaG degrees , DeltaH degrees , and TDeltaS degrees values of conformational change from planar cis to nonplanar staggered in the coordination sphere were obtained to be -0.9, -8.5, and -7.5 kJ mol(-1), respectively. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that the planar cis conformer is more favorable than the nonplanar staggered one in the 1:2 cluster, as is the case for a single DMPA molecule and H(DMPA)+, indicating that there hardly occurs solvent-solvent interaction through the metal ion in the Zn2+-DMPA 1:2 cluster. On the other hand, the SCF energy of [Zn(planar cis-DMPA)4-n(nonplanar staggered DMPA)n]2+ (n = 0-4) decreases with increasing n, implying that the nonplanar staggered conformer is preferred in the solvate ion. It is thus concluded that solvent-solvent interaction through space, or solvation steric effect, plays a crucial role in the conformational equilibrium in the coordination sphere of the four-solvate metal ion. 相似文献

The bound site of Mo atoms and its local structure in a Mo/HY catalyst have been determined by detailed analysis of extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). Molybdenum was introduced in the supercage of HY zeolite by cycles of saturated adsorption of Mo(CO)6 at room temperature and subsequent thermal decomposition at 573 K. Two Mo atoms per supercage were immobilized in each CVD-thermal treatment cycle. The Mo loading increased linearly with the cycles up to three cycles at saturation, where six Mo atoms were supported. Temperature-programmed decomposition of the adsorbed Mo(CO)6 was also characterized by GC, QMS, and FT-IR, respectively. The EXAFS analysis including multiple scattering based on theoretical calculations revealed that Mo bound with two oxygen atoms connects to Al, where one of the two oxygen atoms had been associated with a proton. The bound site is called the S(III)' site. The zeolite framework was significantly distorted by the introduction of low-valent Mo, resulting in isolation of the [MoO2Al] unit from the surrounding zeolite framework due to a quasi-disruption of Si-O bonds adjacent to the unit. In the mild oxidation of the low-valent Mo/HY sample two Mo=O bonds were newly formed and the position of Mo was displaced by 0.06 nm so that the distortion of zeolite framework around the Al atom was relieved. The structures were also supported by DFT calculations. This study is the first example that the position of metal cation in zeolite was determined unambiguously by the EXAFS analysis. 相似文献

A delayed coincidence method, time-interval analysis (TIA), has been applied to successive – decay events on the millisecond time-scale. Such decay events are part of the 220Rn216Po (T1/2 145 ms) (Th-series) and 219Rn215Po (T1/2 1.78 ms) (Ac-series). By using TIA in addition to measurement of 226Ra (U-series) from -spectrometry by liquid scintillation counting (LSC), two natural decay series could be identified and separated. The TIA detection efficiency was improved by using the pulse-shape discrimination technique (PSD) to reject -pulses, by solvent extraction of Ra combined with simple chemical separation, and by purging the scintillation solution with dry N2 gas. The U- and Th-series together with the Ac-series were determined, respectively, from alpha spectra and TIA carried out immediately after Ra-extraction. Using the 221Fr217At (T1/2 32.3 ms) decay process as a tracer, overall yields were estimated from application of TIA to the 225Ra (Np-decay series) at the time of maximum growth. An electrolyte based on the tris(acetylacetonato)iron(III)/(II) redox couple ([Fe(acac)3]0/1?) was developed for p‐type dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Introduction of a NiO blocking layer on the working electrode and the use of chenodeoxycholic acid in the electrolyte enhanced device performance by improving the photocurrent. Devices containing [Fe(acac)3]0/1? and a perylene–thiophene–triphenylamine sensitizer (PMI–6T–TPA) have the highest reported short‐circuit current (JSC=7.65 mA cm?2), and energy conversion efficiency (2.51 %) for p‐type DSSCs coupled with a fill factor of 0.51 and an open‐circuit voltage VOC=645 mV. Measurement of the kinetics of dye regeneration by the redox mediator revealed that the process is diffusion limited as the dye‐regeneration rate constant (1.7×108 M ?1 s?1) is very close to the maximum theoretical rate constant of 3.3×108 M ?1 s?1. Consequently, a very high dye‐regeneration yield (>99 %) could be calculated for these devices. 相似文献

Poly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide) of high molecular weight was obtained when the polycondensation of terephthalic acid and p-phenylenediamine was carried out in N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) that contained dissolved CaCl2 and LiCl in the presence of pyridine. The molecular weight of the polymer obtained varied with the amount of pyridine relative to the metal salts and with the molar ratios of CaCl2 to LiCl, the maximum ηinh value of 4.5 being obtained under the conditions Py/(CaCl2 + LiCl) ≈ 2.5 (mol/mol), CaCl2/LiCl ≈ 1.2 (mol/mol), and LiCl + CaCl2 ≈ 4 g. Among the solvents tested, NMP was significantly effective for the reaction. 5,15- cis -bis(Ureidophenyl)porphyrins have significant recognizing ability for p -benzoquinones through four-point hydrogen bonding. Although an unusual temperature-dependence of the complexation is observed with bis( N '-phenylureidophenyl) porphyrin, bis( N '-ethylureidophenyl)porphyrin shows a satisfactorily linear van't Hoff plot and recognizes an electron-rich p -benzoquinone such as tetramethyl- p -benzoquinone more effectively, which is ascribed to the large enthalpy change in the complex. 相似文献

A reaction of the P‐chiral compound (S,S)‐1,2‐bis(boranato(tert‐butyl)methylphosphino)ethane with an azobenzene derivative gave stimuli‐responsive polymers with P‐chiral phosphines in the main chain. This is the first example of a stimuli‐responsive P‐chiral polymer. The polymer isomerized from the trans to the cis form upon UV irradiation and reverted to the trans form reversibly. The polymer was able to coordinate to platinum, and the resulting polymer complex exhibited the Cotton effect owing to the chirality of the phosphorus atoms. The structure of the P‐chiral polymer obtained could be changed reversibly by light and thermal stimuli, and the polymer chain was induced to rotate helically when complexed with transition metals through the chiral phosphorus atoms. 相似文献

A series of optically active P‐chiral oligophosphines (S,R,R,S)‐ 2 , (S,R,S,S,R,S)‐ 3 , (S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S)‐ 4 , and (S,R,S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S,R,S)‐ 5 with four, six, eight, and 12 chiral phosphorus atoms, respectively, were successfully synthesized by a step‐by‐step oxidative‐coupling reaction from (S,S)‐ 1 . The corresponding optically inactive oligophosphines 1′ – 5′ were also prepared. Their properties were characterized by DSC, XRD, and optical‐rotation analyses. While optically active bisphosphine (S,S)‐ 1 and tetraphosphine (S,R,R,S)‐ 2 behaved as small molecules, octaphosphine (S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S)‐ 4 and dodecaphosphine (S,R,S,R,S,R,R,S,R,S,R,S)‐ 5 exhibited the features of a polymer. Furthermore, DSC and XRD analyses showed that hexaphosphine (S,R,S,S,R,S)‐ 3 is an intermediate between a small molecule and a polymer. Comparison of optically active oligophosphines 1 – 5 with the corresponding optically inactive oligophosphines 1′ – 5′ revealed that the optically active phosphines have higher crystallinity than the optically inactive counterparts.
