Uchiyama constructed certain extremal BMO functions on Euclidean spaces which show that the John-Nirenberg estimate is in
some sense remarkably precise. We extend his result to the case of general subdomains of Euclidean spaces. Also, as an application,

three poly(vinylidene difluoride) (PVDF) cantilevers as the legs and a polymer film as the body. The PVDF cantilevers are
coated with silver on one surface. When one side of the cantilever is irradiated by a laser beam, an electric field is produced
along a cross-section of the cantilever by the pyroelectric effect and a mechanical displacement occurs by the piezoelectric
effect. Its response time and its generated force are measured experimentally. Two types of optically driven actuators using

The relation between O2 pressure and composition in the pulsed‐laser deposition of fluoroapatite was investigated using both on‐axis and off‐axis methods to determine the optimal conditions for obtaining a pure fluoroapatite film without OH groups. Through this, it was found that an O2 pressure of 10 Pa, combined with an off‐axis method, results in P/Ca and F/Ca values (0.6 and 0.2, respectively) that match closely with a stoichiometric composition of Ca10(PO4)6F2. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis confirmed that this optimized film was almost pure fluoroapatite, with no evidence of any OH groups originating from hydroxyapatite. X‐ray diffraction also revealed that this fluoroapatite film crystallizes with a c‐axis orientation perpendicular to its surface. 相似文献

We studied the methanol adsorption behavior of Pt nanoparticles that were vacuum-deposited on a TiO(2)(110) surface at room temperature by using an ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) scanning tunneling microscope (STM). A large number of bright spots were observed on fivefold-coordinated Ti (Ti(5c)) rows of the TiO(2)(110) surface after exposure of the Pt/TiO(2)(110) to methanol vapor. We assigned the bright spots to methoxy species. These were mobile and were found to hop along the Ti(5c) rows. In situ time-resolved STM observations of the formation and migration of the bright spots on the Pt/TiO(2)(110) were carried out in the presence of methanol. The bright spots were produced at the periphery of the Pt nanoparticles and migrated to the substrate Ti(5c) rows. We discuss the spillover process and behavior of the methoxy species on the Pt/TiO(2)(110). 相似文献

The palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction of aryl halides with terminal alkynes, the Sonogashira coupling, took place in water under copper-free conditions by use of an amphiphilic polystyrene-poly(ethylene glycol) (PS-PEG) resin-supported palladium-phosphine complex to give the corresponding aryl-substituted alkynes in high yields. The PS-PEG resin-supported palladium catalyst was recovered by simple filtration and reused four times without any loss of catalytic activity. 相似文献

The cytotoxicity of 39 compounds, including eighteen flavonoids (flavanones, 1-10; flavones, 11-17; flavanol, 18), sixteen phenolic acid derivatives (aromatic acids, 19-24; aldehyde, 25; esters, 26-34) and five glycerides (35-39), isolated from Mexican propolis, were evaluated against a panel of six different cancer cell lines; murine colon 26-L5 carcinoma, murine B16-BL6 melanoma, murine Lewis lung carcinoma, human lung A549 adenocarcinoma, human cervix HeLa adenocarcinoma and human HT-1080 fibrosarcoma. A phenylpropanoid-substituted flavanol, (2R,3S)-8-[4-phenylprop-2-en-1-one]-4',7-dihydroxy-3',5-dimethoxyflavan-3-ol (18), showed the most potent cytotoxicity against A549 cells (IC50, 6.2 microM) and HT-1080 cells (IC50, 3.9 microM), stronger than those of the clinically used anticancer drug, 5-fluorouracil (IC50, 7.5 microM and 5.4 microM, respectively). An interference exposure system using a phase-shifting mask was proposed for generating periodic sawtooth optical intensity
profile with chirp in period. Multiple space-harmonic waves are launched from the mask by diffraction, and the sawtooth optical
intensity is formed by interference based on Fourier synthesis after propagation through an air gap. The design concept merely
utilizing positive diffraction-order harmonics with tilt illumination of an exposure light and a design algorithm based on
time-reversed configuration for calculating required phase shift amount were proposed and discussed. A phase-shifting mask
for a blazed grating of very high chirp rate was designed to demonstrate its potential and feasibility. The grating period
changes from 2.2 to 3.1 μm gradually within 0.3 mm length. Sawtooth-like optical intensity profile was confirmed by theoretical

We propose single-shot digital holography which is capable of simultaneously capturing both the information of multiple phase-shifted holograms and the distribution of the polarization. In this technique, a single image sensor records both the information required for phase-shifting interferometry and that of the polarization states of objects using an array of polarizers. The essence of the technique is the capability of imaging the distribution of the polarization of three-dimensional objects with a single-shot exposure by using the space-division multiplexing of holograms.
