Both the fac- and mer-isomers of tricyano[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine = 2-DPA]ferrate(II) were isolated and their spectroscopic properties compared. The fac-isomer was converted to the corresponding iron(III) complex under acidic conditions. Oxidation of the ferrate(II) complexes with ammonium peroxodisulfate yielded the mer-isomer of the dehydrogenated ferrate(II) compound, but only the metal-oxidized iron(III) complex for the fac-isomer was produced under neutral or basic conditions. Electrochemical measurements confirmed this difference in the oxidation behavior, in which the nature of the coordination governs the ease of oxidative dehydrogenation. 相似文献

Laser ultrasonic technique has been employed to carry out the sound velocities and attenuation measurements as a function of temperature in alumina, two kinds of silicon nitride and partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ) samples. Accuracy of the laser technique used has been checked in terms of the diffraction effect and reproducibility of the results. Results of attenuation at room temperature have been compared with quartz transducer technique. In PSZ, velocity behavior has become non-linear and also, a peak in attenuation has been observed around 500 degrees C. In one of the silicon nitride sample, which uses glassy sintering agent, attenuation has shown a sharp peak around 950 degrees C. Interestingly, when the experiment was repeated from 800 to 1000 degrees C, this anomalous attenuation peak has disappeared, leaving a background increasing towards higher temperatures. 相似文献

We present a compact confocal readout system for three-dimensional optical memories that uses the thresholding property of a semiconductor laser for feedback light. The gamman-->K(+)K(-)n reaction on 12C has been studied by measuring both K+ and K- at forward angles. A sharp baryon resonance peak was observed at 1.54+/-0.01 GeV/c(2) with a width smaller than 25 MeV/c(2) and a Gaussian significance of 4.6sigma. The strangeness quantum number (S) of the baryon resonance is +1. It can be interpreted as a molecular meson-baryon resonance or alternatively as an exotic five-quark state (uuddsmacr;) that decays into a K+ and a neutron. The resonance is consistent with the lowest member of an antidecuplet of baryons predicted by the chiral soliton model. 相似文献

Periodic nanostructures are observed inside silica glass after irradiation by a focused beam of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser. Backscattering electron images of the irradiated spot reveal a periodic structure of stripelike regions of approximately 20 nm width with a low oxygen concentration, which are aligned perpendicular to the laser polarization direction. These are the smallest embedded structures ever created by light. The period of self-organized grating structures can be controlled from approximately 140 to 320 nm by the pulse energy and the number of irradiated pulses. The phenomenon is interpreted in terms of interference between the incident light field and the electric field of the bulk electron plasma wave, resulting in the periodic modulation of electron plasma concentration and the structural changes in glass. 相似文献
