Cancer stands as a leading cause of mortality worldwide and diagnostics of cancer still faces drawbacks. Optical imaging of
cancer would allow early diagnosis, evaluation of disease progression and therapy efficiency. To that aim, we have developed
highly biocompatible PEG functionalized cadmium chalcogenide based three differently luminescent quantum dots (QDs) (CdS,
CdSe and CdTe). Folate targeting scheme was utilized for targeting cancer cell line, MCF-7. We demonstrate the biocompatibility,
specificity and efficiency of our nanotool in detection of cancer cells sparing normal cell lines with retained fluorescence
of functionalized QDs as parental counterpart. This is the first time report of utilizing three differently fluorescent QDs
and we have detailed about the internalization of these materials and time dependent saturation of targeting schemes. We present

Crystal growth of GaAs layers and InAs quantum dots (QDs) on the GaAs layers was investigated on Ge/Si substrates using ultrahigh vacuum chemical vapor deposition. Ga-rich GaAs with anti-site Ga atoms grown at a low V/III ratio was found to suppress the diffusion of Ge into GaAs. S-K mode QD formation was observed on GaAs layers grown on Ge/Si substrates with Ga-rich GaAs initial layers, and improved photoluminescence from 1.3 μm-emitting InAs QDs was demonstrated. 相似文献

Bimetallic copper complexes were synthesized from the schiff bases which were obtained by the reaction between bis(3-aminophenyl) sulphone and salicylaldehyde and the derivatives in order to clarify the active site of the immobilized polymer catalyst. The morphology and formation process of interpenetrated spherulites of poly(butylene succinate)/poly(vinylidene choloride‐co‐vinyl chloride) (PBSU/PVDCVC) blends were investigated by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). CLSM images showed that the dense fibrils of PBSU spherulites penetrated into the sparse PVDCVC spherulites. For a blend with PBSU content 50% and crystallization temperature Tc = 368 K, the simultaneous growth of PBSU and PVDCVC spherulites was observed. After PBSU fibrils collided with PVDCVC spherulites, they kept growing through PVDCVC spherulites. For a blend with PBSU content 30% and Tc = 363 K, PBSU started to nucleate after PVDCVC spherulites filled the whole space. 相似文献
