In this paper, we are interested in the performance of Karmarkar’s projective algorithm for linear programming. We propose a new displacement step to accelerate and improve the convergence of this algorithm. This purpose is confirmed by numerical experimentations showing the efficiency and the robustness of the obtained algorithm over Schrijver’s one for small problem dimensions.  相似文献

Faults and viruses often spread in networked environments by propagating from site to neighboring sites. We model this process of network contamination by graphs. Consider a graph \(G=(V,E)\), whose vertex set is contaminated and our goal is to decontaminate the set \(V\) using mobile decontamination agents that traverse along the edge set of \(G\). Temporal immunity, \(\tau (G) \ge 0\), is defined as the time that a decontaminated vertex of \(G\) can remain continuously exposed to some contaminated neighbor without getting infected itself. The immunity number of \(G\), \(\iota _k(G)\), is the least \(\tau (G)\) that is required to decontaminate \(G\) using \(k\) agents. We study immunity number for some classes of graphs corresponding to network topologies and present upper bounds on \(\iota _1(G)\), in some cases, with matching lower bounds. Variations of this problem have been extensively studied in literature, but proposed algorithms have been restricted to monotone strategies, where a vertex, once decontaminated, may not be recontaminated. We exploit nonmonotonicity to give bounds which are strictly better than those derived using monotone strategies.  相似文献

We consider the one-dimensional Dirac equation with the Woods–Saxon potential in the Framework of position dependent mass and pseudoscalar interaction. By imposing appropriate constraints on the mass function and the pseudoscalar term new exact solvable models are obtained. A detailed study of the scattering and bound-states problems for these models is presented. Meanwhile, we work out the exact expressions for the transmission and reflection probabilities of scattered states and obtain the exact equation for the energy eigenvalues associated to bound states. In particular, transmission resonance at zero-momentum is observed for supercritical states.  相似文献

An easy and rapid one-pot microwave-assisted soft-template synthesis method for the preparation of Pd-Ni nanoalloys confined in mesoporous carbon is reported. This approach allows the formation of mesoporous carbon and the growth of the particles at the same time, under short microwave irradiation (4 h) compared to the several days spent for the classical approach. In addition, the synthesis steps are diminished and no thermopolymerization step or reduction treatment being required. The influence of the Pd-Ni composition on the particle size and on the carbon characteristics was investigated. Pd-Ni solid solutions in the whole composition range could be obtained, and the metallic composition proved to have an important effect on the nanoparticle size but low influence on carbon textural properties. Small and uniformly distributed nanoparticles were confined in mesoporous carbon with uniform pore size distribution, and dependence between the nanoparticle size and the nanoalloy composition was observed, i.e., increase of the particle size with increasing the Ni content (from 5 to 14 nm). The magnetic properties of the materials showed a strong nanoparticle size and/or composition effect. The blocking temperature of Pd-Ni nanoalloys increases with the increase of Ni amount and therefore of particle size. The magnetization values are smaller than the bulk counterpart particularly for the Ni-rich compositions due to the formed graphitic shells surrounding the particles inducing a dead magnetic layer.

This report describes the creation of semipermanent capillary coatings that are compatible with organic-water solvent systems in CE. The coatings are created by simply rinsing the fused-silica capillary with long double-chain cationic surfactants, such as dimethyl-ditetradecyl ammonium bromide (2C(14)DAB), dihexadecyldimethyl ammonium bromide (2C(16)DAB), and dimethyldioctadecyl ammonium bromide (2C(18)DAB). These surfactants generate semipermanent bilayer coatings on the capillary surface, which display a high degree of stability in buffers containing up to 60% v/v of organic solvents, such as methanol and ACN. The coating stability increases with increasing hydrophobicity of the surfactant, i.e., with increasing chain length. For instance, the EOF changes by only 1.2% in a 2C(18)DAB-coated capillary after 130 capillary volumes of rinsing with 60% v/v methanol containing buffer. The bilayer coatings allow separations to be performed without the need to regenerate the coating between runs or to maintain the EOF modifier in the run buffer. Rapid separations (<2 min) of anions and basic drugs with migration time reproducibility of less than 0.5% RSD and efficiencies of 0.4-0.6 million plates/m are obtained. In addition, selectivity changes for small anions and cationic drugs are also observed when the organic solvent content is adjusted.  相似文献

We propose to make the numerical analysis of a model coupling the Darcy equations in a porous medium with the Stokes equations in the cracks. The coupling is provided by a pressure continuity on the interface. We describe a discretization by spectral element methods. Ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene (norbornene) is carried out over silica‐supported catalysts based on tungsten complexes bearing an oxo ligand ( 1 : [(SiO)W(O)(CH2SiMe3)3, 2 : [(SiO)W(O)(CHCMe2Ph)(dAdPO)], dAdPO  2,6 diadamantyl‐4‐methylphenoxide, 3 : [(SiO)2W(O)(CH2SiMe3)2]). The evaluation of the catalytic activities of the aforementioned materials in ROMP indicates that at low reaction time (0.5 min), the highest polymer yield is obtained with catalyst 2 . However, for longer reaction time (>2 min), complex 3 , a model of the industrial catalyst, exhibits a better monomer conversion. The polymers obtained are characterized. Moreover, these catalysts are shown to be rather preferentially selective to give the cis polynorbornene (>65%), characterized by high melting points (≈300 °C). The experimental values of the average molecular weight (Mn) of polynorbornenes are found to be close to the theoretical ones for the polymers prepared using catalyst 2 and higher for those originated from catalyst 3 .

This work focused on the leaves of Dittrichia viscosa, a plant used in Mediterranean folk medicine. Compared to water extract, the methanolic extract had higher antioxidant effects. Moreover, this extract showed potent in vitro inhibitory activity against α-amylase and α-glucosidase and showed an interesting antiglycation effect. Additionally, the evaluation of the cytotoxic activity of the methanolic extract against two human breast cancer cell lines, MCF-7 and MDA-MB-468, was very promising, with no cytotoxicity towards normal cells (peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). The antibacterial effect was also assessed and showed potent inhibitory activity against Proteus mirabilis and Bacillus subtilis. On the other hand, Dittrichia viscosa leaves were rich in macro-elements containing appropriate micro-elements and high levels of phenolics and flavonoids such as caffeic acid derivatives. Taken together, the results obtained in this study indicate that Dittrichia viscosa could constitute a valuable source of bioactive molecules and could be used either on the preventive side or for therapeutic applications without toxicity.  相似文献

To ensure the better production and sustainable management of natural resources, a chemometric investigation was conducted to examine the effect of cooperative and harvesting periods on the crop yields and chemical compositions of Salvia rosmarinus Spenn essential oils in the Oriental region of Morocco. The samples were collected from three cooperatives over nine time periods from January 2018 to April 2019. The chemical composition of Salvia rosmarinus Spenn essential oils was analyzed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The data from this study were processed by multivariate analyses, including principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA). The disc diffusion technique and a determination of the minimal inhibitory concentration were performed to study the antibacterial properties of the oils. Statistical analysis showed that the cooperative and harvest period have a significant effect on yields. The highest yield of essential oil was recorded in April 2019 at cooperative C1. The PCA and the HCA results were divided into two groups: Group A for the summer season and group B for the winter season. The samples collected during summer were characterized by a high amount of 1,8-cineole component and a high yield of essential oil, whereas the samples collected during winter were qualified by a high amount of α-pinene component and a low yield of essential oil. The antibacterial activity of Salvia rosmarinus Spenn essential oils showed that Mycobacterium smegmatis ATCC23857 and Bacillus subtilis ATCC 23857 are the most susceptible strains, stopping growth at 1/500 (v/v). The least susceptible strain is Escherichia coli ATCC25922, with an MIC value corresponding to 1/250 (v/v). The findings of this study could have a positive economic impact on the exploitation of rosemary in the Oriental region, especially during the best harvest periods, as they indicate how to obtain the best yields of oils richest in 1,8-cineole and α-pinene chemotypes.  相似文献
