Fluorinated small molecules are commonly used in functional small-molecule chemistry, and N-difluoromethyl (N-CF2H) compounds are particularly intriguing due to their unique and unexplored physiochemical properties. However, despite limited progress, a general methodological approach to the synthesis of N-CF2H compounds remains elusive. Here, guided by computation, we present a simple and practical protocol to access N-CF2H amides and related carbonyl derivatives. The protocol involves a one-pot conversion of thioformamides through desulfurization-fluorination and acylation, providing N-difluoromethylcarbamoyl fluoride building blocks that can be further diversified to a variety of unexplored N-CF2H carbonyl compounds with rich functionality. Additionally, preliminary studies on their properties and stability showcased their potential application in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. 相似文献

Instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and electro-thermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) were employed to determine the toxic elements in fourteen fruits harvested in Pakistan. As, Br, Hg, Sb and Se were determined using INAA. Cadmium and Pb were determined using ETAAS. The intake levels of all toxic elements have been calculated. The data show that dates supply the maximum amount of most of the toxic elements. Peels of apple and pear have also been investigated and were found to contain higher concentration of toxic elements than their edible parts. The reliability of the techniques has been established by the use of standard reference materials. This study shows that all investigated fruits cultivated and consumed in Pakistan are safe for human consumption. 相似文献

Analysis of geological materials requires the use of matrix specific reference materials (RMs). Phosphate rocks (PR), the basic ingredient of phosphate fertilizers, are very important in agriculture. A project was undertaken to study the PRs of the Hazara Deposits of Pakistan. Due to the unavailability of phosphate rock reference materials (PR-RMs) with a large number of certified elements, validation of the results was problematic when carrying out elemental analysis of PR samples and their derived products. Therefore a parallel study was performed to determine the composition of three phosphate based RMs; BCR-RM-032 (Natural Moroccan Phosphorite), IAEA-434 (Phosphogypsum) and PRH (a local PR-RM from the Hazara Deposits of Pakistan). Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis was used for this purpose and more than 30 elements including rare earth elements were determined in the three PR samples. 相似文献

A recently developed catalytic living ring opening metathesis polymerisation (ROMP) was investigated using a series of reversible chain transfer agents (CTA) carrying either cyclopentene or cyclohexene rings, differing only in ring strain. All cyclopentene derivatives examined showed significantly faster reaction rates than the corresponding cyclohexene derivatives. This resulted in lower molecular weight dispersities and better control of the molecular weight for the cyclopentene compared to the cyclohexene CTAs. Both Grubbs’ second and third generation catalysts could be employed in catalytic living ROMP using cyclopentene CTA derivatives. The kinetics of different CTAs were studied, block copolymers were synthesised and residual ruthenium quantified by ICP‐OES. All polymers were fully characterised by NMR, GPC and MALDI‐ToF mass spectrometry. The new cyclopentene CTAs are readily synthesised in a few straightforward steps and provide faster reaction kinetics than all previously reported reversible CTAs. 相似文献

Previous studies have shown that the natural radioactivity contained in building materials have significantly influenced the dose rates in dwelling. Exposure to natural radiation in building has been of concerned since almost 80 % of our daily live are spend indoor. Thus, the aim of the study is to assess the radiological risk associated by natural radioactivity in soil based building materials to dwellers. A total of 13 Portland cement, 46 sand and 43 gravel samples obtained from manufacturers or bought directly from local hardware stores in Peninsular of Malaysia were analysed for their radioactivity concentrations. The activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in the studied building materials samples were found to be in the range of 3.7–359.3, 2.0–370.8 and 10.3–1,949.5 Bq kg?1 respectively. The annual radiation dose rates (μSv year?1) received by dwellers were evaluated for 1 to 50 years of exposure using Resrad-Build Computer Code based on the activity concentration of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K found in the studied building material samples. The rooms modelling were based on the changing parameters of concrete wall thickness and the room dimensions. The annual radiation dose rates to dwellers were found to increase annually over a period of 50 years. The concrete thicknesses were found to have significantly influenced the dose rates in building. The self-absorption occurred when the concrete thickness was thicker than 0.4 m. Results of this study shows that the dose rates received by the dwellers of the building are proportional to the size of the room. In general the study concludes that concrete building materials; Portland cements, sands, and gravels in Peninsular of Malaysia does not pose radiological hazard to the building dwellers. 相似文献

Zika virus (ZIKV) represents a re-emerging threat to global health due to its association with congenital birth defects. ZIKV NS2B-NS3 protease is crucial for virus replication by cleaving viral polyprotein at various junctions to release viral proteins and cause cytotoxic effects in ZIKV-infected cells. This study characterized the inhibitory effects of doxycycline against ZIKV NS2B-NS3 protease and viral replication in human skin cells. The in silico data showed that doxycycline binds to the active site of ZIKV protease at a low docking energy (−7.8 Kcal/mol) via four hydrogen bonds with the protease residues TYR1130, SER1135, GLY1151, and ASP83. Doxycycline efficiently inhibited viral NS2B-NS3 protease at average human temperature (37 °C) and human temperature with a high fever during virus infection (40 °C). Interestingly, doxycycline showed a higher inhibitory effect at 40 °C (IC50 = 5.3 µM) compared to 37 °C (9.9 µM). The virus replication was considerably reduced by increasing the concentration of doxycycline. An approximately 50% reduction in virus replication was observed at 20 µM of doxycycline. Treatment with 20 µM of doxycycline reduced the cytopathic effects (CPE), and the 40 µM of doxycycline almost eliminated the CPE of human skin cells. This study showed that doxycycline binds to the ZIKV protease and inhibits its catalytic activity at a low micro-molecular concentration range. Treatment of human skin fibroblast with doxycycline eliminated ZIKV infection and protected the cells against the cytopathic effects of the infection. 相似文献

Sensitive nondestructive instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) technique has been applied for the determination
of rare earth elements (REEs) (Ce, Eu, La, Lu, Sm, Tb and Yb) in phosphate rocks (PR) and granulated single super-phosphate
(GSSP) fertilizer samples from Hazara district of Pakistan. The comparison of the PR with product fertilizers shows that most
of the quantified REEs were found to be in lower contents in the fertilizers. Six fertilizer samples with different N, P and
K ratio for distinctive application to plants were also characterized. The REEs in these showed irregular patterns that can
be attributed to difference in their manufacturing and chemical processes. The REEs contents of local phosphate fertilizer
were found to be lower in comparison to the values cited in the literature; however Ce is relatively high. For quality assurance
fair agreement was found between the results obtained for reference materials IAEA SL-1 (Lake Sediment) and GSJ-JR-1 (Rhyolite). 相似文献

Sulfonamide Schiff bases were doped uniformly in silica sol–gels prepared from liquid precursors by a fast and easy way at room temperature and processed to form xerogels. Schiff bases are efficient chelating agents, bioactive and catalytically active compounds. The structures of the newly synthesized Schiff base doped xerogels were elucidated by their physical (morphology, surface area, porosity), spectral (FTIR) and analytical (CHNSO/Si) data. The powder X-ray diffraction studies were carried out to confirm the formation of single phase. Characterization confirmed that Schiff base molecules are entrapped inside the pores as well as physically bound onto the silica surface. All Schiff base doped xerogels are stable mesoporous materials showing hydrophilic properties. Loadings of Schiff bases from 0.10 to 0.23 g/g of xerogel were obtained resulting amorphous materials. The doping of Schiff bases with xerogel caused change in surface area, pore volume and pore diameter of xerogel without damaging the main framework of siliceous skeleton. Morphology and colour of xerogel was also changed after doping. The entrapment of Schiff bases in xerogel caused increase in their decomposition temperatures. The final Schiff base doped xerogels show remarkable thermal stability. 相似文献

In this article, we carry out the effect of an induced magnetic field on the peristaltic transport of an incompressible conducting third order fluid in a symmetric channel. The flow analysis has been developed for low Reynolds number and long wave length approximation. Analytical solutions have been established for the axial velocity, stream function, magnetic force function, and axial‐induced magnetic field. The effects of pertinent parameters on the pressure rise per wavelength are investigated by using numerical integration. Besides this, we study the effect of these parameters on the pressure gradient and axial induced magnetic field.
