One-time oral administration of arsenic trioxide to hamsters with toxic liver cirrhosis induced by longterm exposure to carbon tetrachloride resulted in significant elevations of the concentrations of dimethylarsenic species in the liver and in blood, and in high urinary excretions of dimethylarsenic species. These concentration changes in the liver, blood and urine indicated that the methylation of inorganic arsenic was not inhibited but promoted in hamsters suffering from experimentally induced toxic liver cirrhosis. Cirrhotic hamsters also had increased urinary excretion of inorganic arsenic. Results of the determinations of S-adenosylmethionine in the livers suggested that this compound may accelerate the methylation of inorganic arsenic in the cirrhotic liver.  相似文献

Adsorption characteristics of chloroform from its aqueous solution on Na–Y and Li–Na–Y modified by SiCl4 were measured and compared with those on Na–ZSM-5 and Na-Mordenite.No adsorption occurred on Na–Y with high hydrophilicity, while the siliceous faujasites became capable of adsorption and its amount increased with increase in the Si/A1 ratio. Adsorption isotherms are of Langmuir type, suggesting that adsorption proceeds by pore filling. The adsorption amounts expressed in volume on Na–Y with high hydrophobicity corresponded to their pore volumes.Adsorption characteristics of chloroform from gaseous phase on Na–Y with different Si/A1 ratio were also measured. The adsorption capability decreased with increasing Si/A1 ratio.Immersional heats of zeolites into water or chloroform were measured in order to evaluate the surface affinity to both solvents. Immersional heats into water were almost constant (about 500 mJ·m–2) for zeolites with their Si/A1 ratio below 10. The heats decreased with an increase in the Si/A1 ratio above 10, then became almost constant (about 120 mJ·m–2) over 30 in their ratio. Heats of immersion of Na–Y series into chloroform were almost constant irrespective of their Si/A1 ratio, but decreased slightly when the ratio exceeded 20.Adsorption characteristics of chloroform could be well related to immersional heats into both solvents.  相似文献

Formation of LaFeO3 nanoparticles obtained from thermal decomposition of organometallic precursors was investigated as a function of the heat-treatment temperature. The precursors heat-treated below 300°C were amorphous, but above 350°C a single-phase of nanocrystalline LaFeO3 was formed. The LaFeO3 nanoparticles showed the superparamagnetic behavior in both magnetization and M?ssbauer measurements. With increasing heat-treatment temperature, the crystallite size of LaFeO3 nanoparticles was gradually increased. The quadrupole splitting and isomer shift of paramagnetic doublet pattern were affected by the growth of LaFeO3 particles.  相似文献

Photobrightening and photobluing effects of photoluminescence (PL) from CdSe/ZnS/TOPO nanocrystal ensembles, i.e. ca. 1000 nanocrystals, have been investigated in several environments. The PL intensity increases more than twice with blue shift under continuous light irradiation in a wet nitrogen (H2O/N2) atmosphere, while in a pure nitrogen atmosphere and vacuum their behaviors are nothing particular. In addition, increasing rates of both the brightening and bluing effects in the H2O/N2 atmosphere depend on irradiation intensities. These results suggest that both effects should be associated with photo-adsorption of water molecules onto nanocrystal surfaces. As for the brightening effect, we propose that the photo-adsorption of water molecules provides some restoring functions to PL-quenching defects or trap-sites on or near nanocrystal surfaces. On the other hand, the origin of the bluing effect is not clear from the results of the ensemble measurements. To get further insight into the bluing effect, PL spectra from single nanocrystals are measured under continuous light irradiation in cyclic environments in which the H2O/N2 atmosphere and vacuum are alternating. As a result, blue-shifted PL induced by the light irradiation in the H2O/N2 atmosphere recovers almost to its initial one reversibly under evacuation. The mechanism of the photobluing effect will be discussed also on the bases of the photobrightening model introduced above.  相似文献

An optically addressed parallel-aligned nematic-liquid-crystal spatial light modulator (PAL-SLM) has been studied as a dynamic phase-only light modulation device. The phase modulation characteristics of the PAL-SLM using a liquid crystal display (LCD) as an addressing mask were investigated by analyzing diffraction efficiencies resulting from binary gratings projected from the LCD. A more than 2π phase-only modulation depth was achieved. The highest first-order diffraction efficiency of approximately 38% was also obtained; this is close to the theoretical limit. The experimental results of diffraction efficiencies depending on the phase modulation depth are in good agreement with the simulation for the system operation.  相似文献
