Then th,α)-reaction spectroscopical data are reported on95Mo,123Te and145Nd (target nuclei). The95Mo(n, α)92Zr and123Te(n, α)120Sn reactions showed up two lines each corresponding to the ground state and the 1st excited state with a total cross section of 32 ub and 52 μb respectively. In the case of145Nd(n, α)142Ce, a transition only to the 1st excited state of142Ce is present. It is shown that in the case of95Mo,145Nd and probably123Te, most of the cross-section comes respectively from the 2+ possibly 4?, and 0 bound levels whose widths are determined to beΓ α=0.5 × 10?6 eV,Γ α=1.6×10?8 eV andΓ α=1.6 × 10?6 eV. The present results on these three nuclei, when combined with the existing data, are consistent with the calculated statistical model values. 相似文献

A new method for determining absolute photoionization cross sections for gaseous compounds is proposed. In this method a mixture of a sample and a standard gas (N2) is used in photoelectron intensity measurements so that the relative intensity of the component is obtained with respect to N2 The relative photoelectron band area is converted to the absolute photoionization cross section on the basis of the absolute cross-section data of N2 recently reported by Samson et al. Changes in the electronic structure of olivine Li(1-x)CoPO(4), 4.8 V positive electrode material for lithium ion batteries, were investigated using the X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) technique. The threshold energy in the Co K-edge increased with electrochemical Li removal, indicating the oxidation of cobalt ions due to charge compensation. Moreover, P and O K-edge XAS showed a slight shift in threshold energy with Li removal. Although it is generally believed that the electrons of PO(4) polyanion do not contribute to the oxidation process, present experimental results indicate changes in the electronic structure around PO(4) units. Such results would be interpreted by the idea of the hybridization effect between the Co 3d and O 2p orbitals and of the polarization effect introduced by Li ions. 相似文献

We have developed a new method, based on the ballistic transfer of preaccumulated plasmas, to obtain large and dense positron plasmas in a cryogenic environment. The method involves transferring plasmas emanating from a region with a low magnetic field (0.14 T) and relatively high pressure (10(-9) mbar) into a 15 K Penning-Malmberg trap immersed in a 3 T magnetic field with a base pressure better than 10(-13) mbar. The achieved positron accumulation rate in the high field cryogenic trap is more than one and a half orders of magnitude higher than the previous most efficient UHV compatible scheme. Subsequent stacking resulted in a plasma containing more than 1.2 x 10(9) positrons, which is a factor 4 higher than previously reported. Using a rotating wall electric field, plasmas containing about 20 x 10(6) positrons were compressed to a density of 2.6 x 10(10) cm(-3).
