Ionic liquids have attracted a considerable attention as the next generation electrolytes for energy devices. We have developed new free-standing and nanostructured polymer films in which ionic liquids are confined into one-dimensionally ordered nanochannels. These polymer films have been obtained by photopolymerization of hydrogen-bonded supramolecular columnar liquid-crystalline self-assemblies of an imidazolium-based ionic liquid and a wedge-shaped diol compound containing polymerizable groups. The macroscopically parallel alignment of the columnar structures on a glass substrate has been achieved by the application of mechanical shearing, and subsequently fixed into polymer films by UV irradiation. This ionic liquid-containing polymer film exhibits higher ionic conductivity than that of the previously reported one-dimensional polymer film obtained by in situ photopolymerization of a covalent-type columnar liquid-crystalline imidazolium salt. The noncovalent supramolecular approach to one-dimensionally ion-conductive polymer films has led to improvement on conductive properties. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Effective interactions between amino acid residues in antigen?Cantibody complex of influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA) protein can be evaluated in terms of the inter-fragment interaction energy (IFIE) analysis with the fragment molecular orbital (FMO) method, in which each fragment contains the side chain of corresponding amino acid residue. We have carried out the FMO-MP2 (second-order Moeller?CPlesset) calculation for the complex of HA antigen and Fab antibody of influenza virus H3N2 A/Aichi/2/68 and obtained the IFIE values between each amino acid residue in HA and the whole antibody as the sums over the residues contained in the latter. Combining this IFIE data with experimental data for hemadsorption activity of HA mutants, we succeeded in theoretically explaining the mutations in HA observed after the emergence of influenza virus H3N2 A/Aichi/2/68 in an earlier study, except for those of THR83. In the present study, we employ an alternative way of fragment division in the FMO calculation at the carbonyl C site of the peptide bond instead of the C?? site used in the previous work, which provides revised IFIE values consistent with all the historical mutation data in the antigenic region E of HA including the case of THR83 in the present prediction scheme for probable mutations in HA.  相似文献

Theta vacuum effects on the QCD phase structure in the μ-T plane are studied by using the Polyakov-loop extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model and its extension, where μ is the quark chemical potential and T is temperature, respectively. As the parameter θ of the theta vacuum increases, the chiral transition becomes stronger. For large θ, it eventually becomes first order even at zero μ.  相似文献

The cationic Pt complex (Pt(NC6H4-C6H4N-(CH2)10-O(C6H3-3,5-(OMe)2)(MeN-(CH2CH2NMe2)2))+ was prepared by the reaction of alkylbipyridinium ligand with a nitrateplatinum(II) complex. Mixing the complex and α- and β-cyclodextrins in aqueous media produced the corresponding [2]rotaxanes with 1:1 stoichiometry. γ-Cyclodextrin and the Pt complex formed a rotaxane having components in a 1:1 or 2:1 molar ratio. The results of mass and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements confirmed the rotaxane structures of the Pt complexes. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM) analyses revealed the formation of micelles or vesicles. The addition of NaBH4 to the rotaxanes in aqueous media formed Pt nanoparticles with diameters of 1.3–2.8 nm, as characterized by TEM. The aggregated size of the nanoparticles formed from the rotaxane did not change even at 70 °C, and they showed higher thermal stability than those obtained from the reduction of the cyclodextrin-free Pt complex.  相似文献

We developed a host–guest methodology for separation of single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) according to the handedness, diameter and metallicity by the use of diporphyrin nanotweezers and nanocalipers. Although the pyrene has been frequently used to replace porphyrin, due to a similar affinity to the surface of SWNTs and better availability, the extraction and recognition abilities of dipyrene nanotweezers were not so good as those of diporphyrin ones as we reported previously. However, introduction of a tert‐butyl substituent at the 7′‐position of 2‐pyrene is found to enhance the extraction and recognition abilities of dipyrene nanotweezers and nanocalipers. That is, (6,5)‐SWNTs were obtained in high purity by use of bis(tert‐butylpyrene) nanotweezers with a phenanthrene spacer and metallic SWNTs were highly enriched by use of bis(tert‐butylpyrene) nanocalipers with a carbazole–anthracene–carbazole spacer.  相似文献

For a system formed by three bosons interacting by a pairwise zero-range potential we show how the functional form of the asymptotic momentum distribution changes drastically when passing from bi (2D) to tridimensional (3D) regime, mainly affected by the absence/presence of the Efimov effect in 2D/3D. The spectator functions and the momentum distribution are calculated analytically for both regimes.  相似文献
