Hexagonal packing of cis,cis‐cyclohexane‐1,3,5‐tricarboxamide

The title compound, C₉H₁₅N₃O₃, which has crystallographically imposed threefold symmetry, crystallizes as a hexagonal columnar structure. The crystal structure is stabilized by a less common amide–amide synthon, where one amide group is hydrogen bonded to four others. The amide groups form cyclic amide–amide hexamers via N—H...O hydrogen bonds.     

Static polarizabilities for the ne-isoelectronic series using Harbola–Sahni potential

The recently proposed Harbola–Sahni local potential in its exchange-only version [Phys. Rev. Lett. 62 , 689 (1989)] is found to give the static dipole and quadrupole polarizabilities for the Neisoelectronic series in excellent agreement with the corresponding Hartree–Fock estimates. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Two- and three-dimensional analysis of bose-einstein correlations inπ +/K+p interactions at 250 GeV/c

The NA22 data onπ ^? π ^? correlations are analyzed in terms of a number of two- and three-dimensional parametrizations (Gaussian space-time, Goldhaber, Bowler string-like, Bertsch hydrodynamical, Kopylov-Podgoretskii, etc.). Contrary to the results obtained for e⁺e^? andµp collisions, the Goldhaber parametrization, as well as string-like models, fail in describing the hadron-hadron data. Better fits are obtained in the framework of surface-emitting fireball-like models, both when including and excluding hydrodynamical expansion of nuclear matter. Our results indicate that pion radiation occurs at earlier stages of matter evolution than in nuclear collisions.

Effect of aging of the binder on the creep of polymer concrete

Two polyester concretes with diabase and marble fillers and aggregates are used as examples to illustrate the possibility of using a structural approach to evaluate the creep of the composite in the initial state and after preliminary aging under laboratory conditions for a period of 12–13 yrs. Experimental study of the creep of polymer concrete and its structural components (resin and binder) after preliminary aging at elevated temperatures (60, 90°) established that the change that occurs in viscoelastic compliance with aging conforms to the analogy principle with a reduction function that depends on aging temperature and time.Institute of Polymer Mechanics.
