A study is reported of the second-order nonlinear optical susceptibility in polycrystalline molecular materials of the chalcone
group made by second-harmonic generation at a wavelength of 1.06 μm. Some of the compounds studied exhibit a high nonlinear
activity and are transparent in the blue region of the spectrum. The measured macroscopic nonlinear polarizability χ
2 was compared with the calculated values of β, the second-order molecular polarizability tensor. The high nonlinear optical polarizability observed in some chalcone compounds
is shown to be related to crystal symmetry type.

Soluble aromatic polyimides and copolyimides are synthesized on the basis of 4,4′-diaminotriphenylamine and oxadiazole-containing diamines. Poly(ester oxadiazoles) are prepared from acid dichlorides or oxadiazole-containing acid dihydrazides. The optical, electrochemical, and thermal properties of the polymers are investigated. It is shown that oxadiazole-containing polyimides and poly(ester oxadiazoles) are able to transfer electrons, while triphenylamine-containing polyimides and copolyimides can transfer holes and electrons. 相似文献

By mass‐spectrometric thermal analysis (MTA) the thermochemical features of poly(N‐vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) and its compositions with fullerene C60 were studied. The mechanism of PVP thermal degradation was investigated; in particular the nature of the low‐temperature degradation (between 75 and 300°C) accompanied by output of pyrrolidone was explained as well as the influence of fullerene C60 on this mechanism. It was shown that during thermal degradation of copolymer PVP‐C60, there is a disappearance of the low‐temperature peaks of the output of pyrrolidone that is interpreted as an increase of the thermal stability of N‐vinyl‐pyrrolidone fragments in this product in comparison with their thermal stability in pure PVP. 相似文献
