Photoresponsive C3-symmetrical trisurea self-assembling building blocks containing three azobenzene groups (LC10 and LC4) at the rim were designed and synthesized. By introducing a trisamide gelator (G18), which can self-aggregate through hydrogen bonds of acylamino moieties to form a fibrous network, the mixture of LC10 (or LC4) and G18 forms an organogel with coral-like supramolecular structure from 1,4-dioxane. The cooperation of hydrogen bonding and the hydrophobic diversity between these components are the main contributions to the specific superstructure. The two-component gel exhibits reversible photoisomerization from trans to cis transition without breakage of the gel state.  相似文献

An onion-phase (multilamellar vesicular phase or Lalpha-phase) was prepared from salt-free zero-charged cationic and anionic (catanionic) surfactant mixtures of tetradecyltrimethylammonium hydroxide (TTAOH)/lauric acid (LA)/H2O. The H+ and OH- counterions form water (TTAOH + LA --> TTAL + H2O), leaving the solution salt free. The onion-phase solution has novel properties including low conductivity, low osmotic pressure and unscreened electrostatic repulsions between cationic and anionic surfactants because of the absence of salt. The spherical multilamellar vesicles have an average 250 nm radius as measured by freeze-fracture transmission electron microscopy (FF-TEM) and the maximum interlayer distance, i.e., the thickness of the hydrophobic bilayer and the water layer, was calculated to be around 52 nm by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). Extremely hydrophobic C60 fullerene can be solubilized in this salt-free zero-charged aqueous onion-phase. As a typical result, 0.588 mg.mL(-1) (approximately 0.82 mmol.L(-1)) C60 has been successfully solubilized into a 50 mmol.L(-1) catanionic surfactant onion-phase aqueous solution. The weight ratio of fullerene to TTAL is calculated to be around 1:40. Solubilization of C60 in the salt-free catanionic onion-phase solution was investigated by using different sample preparation routes, and a variety of techniques were used to characterize these vesicular systems with or without encapsulated C60. The onion-phase solution changed color from slightly bluish to yellow or brown after C60 was solubilized. 1H and 13C NMR measurements indicated that the C60 molecules are located in the hydrophobic layers, i.e., in the central positions [omega-CH3 and delta-(CH2)x] of the hydrophobic layers of the TTAL onion-phase. Salt-free zero-charged catanionic vesicular aqueous solutions are good candidates for enhancing the solubility of C60 in aqueous solutions and may broaden the functionality of fullerenes to new potential applications in biology, medicine, and materials. Hopefully, our method can also be extended to solubilize functionalized carbon nanotubes in aqueous solutions.  相似文献

The immunomodulatory function of longan pulp polysaccharide-protein complex (LP3) was investigated in immunosuppressed mice models. Compared with the model control, peroral administration of 100 mgkg?1d?1 LP3 could significantly increase/enhance antibody production against chicken red blood cell (CRBC), concanavalin A (ConA)-induced splenocyte proliferation, macrophage phagocytosis, NK cell cytotoxicity against YAC-1 lymphoma cell, and interferon-gamma (INF-γ) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) secretion in serum (P < 0.05). The immunomodulatory effects, except for those on splenocytes and macrophages (P > 0.05), were also observed in mice administered with 50 or 200 mgkg?1d?1 LP3 (P < 0.05). The beneficial effects of 50-200 mgkg?1d?1 LP3 were comparable to those of 50 mgkg?1d?1 ganoderan. The strong immunomodulatory activity of LP3 confirmed its good potential as an immunotherapeutic adjuvant.  相似文献

Time resolved photoacoustic calorimetry (PAC) was applied to a study of the photolysis of a coenzyme B(12) analog 2',5'-dideoxyadenosylcobalamin, which lacks an -OH group at the 2' position of ribofuranose ring. In aqueous solution, we report for the first time the quantum yield Phi(d) (0.25+/-0.02), Co-C bond dissociation energy (BDE; 31.8+/-2.5 kcal mol(-1)) and reaction volume change deltaV(R) (6.5+/-0.5 ml mol(-1)) due to conformation changes of the corrin ring and its side chains accompanying the cleavage of the Co-C bond. These values for the analog are very similar to those for the natural cofactor. Based our results and previous studies, a possible explanation for the similarity in their structure and properties versus the large difference in their enzymatic activity is discussed.  相似文献

The effects of four factors (different side chains, side-chain disorder, conformational change, and ions and water) on the energy band structures of proteins have been investigated with the aid of the CNDO/2 crystal orbital method. The results indicate that these factors are very important. The consequences of these effects on the semiconductive properties of proteins are discussed.  相似文献
