Crystal structure and morphology of phenyl‐capped tetraaniline in the leucoemeraldine oxidation state

A series of crystals of phenyl‐capped tetraaniline in the leucoemeraldine oxidation state were obtained at different isothermal temperatures and were observed directly under transmission electron microscope. The crystals obtained at higher temperatures exhibit more perfect structures than those obtained at lower temperatures. Both the lamella thickness and the crystal size increase with crystallization temperature. The tetraaniline is apt to form larger scale crystals under lower degree of supercooling. However, their crystal structures keep steady with the crystallization temperature. The tetramer was found to adopt a monoclinic lattice with unit cell parameter of a = 13.93 Å, b = 8.82 Å, c = 23.20 Å, and β = 95.03°, as determined using electron diffraction tilting method combined with wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction experiment. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Formation and magnetic properties of Co–Fe-based bulk metallic glasses with supercooled liquid region

A new Co–Fe-based ferromagnetic bulk metallic glass (BMG) was synthesized by copper mould casting method. The thermal stability and crystallization processes were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The soft magnetic behavior was studied by DC magnetic measurements. The high glass formation ability was interpreted in terms of the effective suppression of nucleation and growth of the intermetallic compounds which appear in the multicomponent system during solidification. The high thermal stability indicates that the new Co–Fe-based BMG could be used as high-temperature magnetic material. The low coercivity which was as low as 8 A/m for the as-cast sample was found in the Co–Fe-based metallic glass cylinder with a diameter of 1.5 mm.

水合锰盐18-冠-6的振动光谱

近年来,相继测定了一些过渡金属18-C-6化合物的结构,发现它们的结合方式有着自己的结构特性。作为结构表征的振动光谱,目前还研究得较少。本文合成了(Mn_2Cl_2·8H_20)·18C6·2Cl(Ⅰ)和Mn(NCS)_2·4H_2O·18C6(Ⅱ),测定了4000-100cm~(-1)区域的FTIR和激光Raman光谱,讨论了(Ⅱ)的可能结构。

二维网状铜(Ⅱ)配合物的合成及晶体结构表征

A Cu(Ⅱ) complex [Cu(L)_1.5(OSO₃)]·3H₂O (1) [L=1,4-bis(imidazol-1-yl)benzene] was synthesized by reaction of ligand L with CuSO₄·5H₂O using solvothermal method and its structure was determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The structure indicates that the complex crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1 with a=0.948 8(2), b=1.078 5(2), c=1.108 4(2) nm, α=74.820(2), β=81.331(2), γ=72.638(2)°, V=1.041 5(3) nm³, Z=2, D_calc=1.687 g·cm^-3, F(000)=544, μ=1.205 cm^-1, the final R=0.062 3 and wR=0.132 8. The Cu(Ⅱ) atom has distorted square-pyramidal environment with a N₃O₂ donor set. Each L ligand links two Cu(Ⅱ) atoms using its imidazole groups to form an infinite one-dimensional (1D) ladder-like chain, which further linked by SO₄^2- to form a two-dimensional (2D) network structure. The 2D sheets are further connected by C-H…O hydrogen bonds to give a three-dimensional (3D) structure. CCDC: 650388.     

A New Sesquiterpene Lactone from Ainsliaea bonatii

A new sesquiterpene lactone, Ainsliaolide A, was isolated from Ainsliaea bonatii. The structure was determined on the basis of spectral data.     

Crystal Structure and Characterization of a Large Polyoxotungstate (NH4)21{La(H2O)5[Ni(H2O)]2As4W40O140}·53H2O

The heteropolytungstate (NH4)₂₁{La(H₂O)₅[Ni(H₂O)]₂As₄W₄₀O₁₄₀}·53H₂O is obtained by the reaction of Na₂₇[NaAs₄W₄₀O₁₄₀]· 60H₂O with NiCl₂·6H₂O, La(NO₃)₃·6H₂O and NH₄Cl at pH‐4.5. The structure and chemical composition are determined by X‐ray diffraction analysis and elemental analysis. The crystal data and main structure refinement are a = 1.9551(3) nm, b = 2.4156(4) nm, c= 3.7068(6) nm, β = 91.505(3)°, V = 17.500 (5) nm³, monoclinic crystal system with space group P2₁/n, Z = 4, R₁ = 0.0573, wR₂ = 0.0717 [I >2<s?(I)], R₁, = 0.2463 and wR₂ = 0.1199 (all data). [La(H₂O)₅] {Ni(H₂O)}₂AS₄W₄₀O₁₄₀ has C₂, symmetry. IR spectra of the ligand [NaAs₄W₄₀O₁₄₀]^27‐ and its three complexes were discussed.
