有机元素微量分析标准物质——茴香酸的研制

茴香酸的分子式为C_8H_8O_3,碳含量63.15%、氢含量5.30%、氧含量31.55%、甲氧基含量20.40%。该标样与日本元素分析恳谈会委员会、英国化学协会微量化学委员会所公布的微量化学标样之一——香草醛一样,都具有相同的碳、氢、氧和甲氧基含量,美国国家标准局(NBS)发行SRM142茴香酸作为微量分析中甲氧基的分析标样。     

Synthesis,structure and DNA-binding studies on the 2-(3-chlorophenyl)imidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline-bis(2,2′-bipy ridine)-ruthenium(II) complex

A new polypyridyl ligand, MCP {MCP = 2-(3-chlorophenyl)imidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline} and its ruthenium(II) complex, [Ru(bpy)2(MCP)](ClO4)2· 0.5MeCN (bpy = 2,2-bipyridine), have been synthesized and characterized. The structure of the complex was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. The MCP ligand is essentially planar and the stacking interactions between the ligands were observed in the crystal. [Ru(bpy)2(MCP)]2+ can strongly bind to Calf thymus DNA through intercalation of MCP ligand. The Cl substitute group has no significant effect on the spectral properties and DNA-binding behaviour of the complex.     

Nilpotency of Connes'' periodicity operator and the idempotent conjectures

For certain classes of discrete groups we verify the idempotent conjectures for various group algebras by the method of cyclic cohomology. In particular, the Banach ¹ (G) of a torsion free word hyperbolic groupG of Gromov contains no nontrivial idempotents. Level crossing resonance due to chlorine nuclei in a free radical

Muonium adds to allyl chloride, CH₂=CHCH₂Cl, to form two radicals: MuCH₂CHCH₂Cl (main product) and CH₂CHMuCH₂Cl (minor product). Both radicals were fully characterized bySR andLCR. In the main product, the LCR lines due to the³⁵Cl and³⁷Cl nuclei were observed. Also, the temperature dependence of various hyperfine coupling constants (hfc) indicates that both Mu and Cl eclipse the unpaired electronp ₂-orbital in the minimum energy conformation. For the fragment-CH₂Cl, the presence of Mu in the-position is found to affect significantly the hfc of Cl in the-position; an internal rotational barrier of 12 kJ mol^–1 was estimated using a simpleV ₂ torsional potential.
